great advice I'll try to apply it, I've been put into a girls u16's player development programme with the chance of being scouted for some big clubs but the aim is to go for scotland u18's national team however I've only been playing 7/8 months and never had a game and most girls there are older and more experienced, they're competing every weekend and know the game far better. my coach thinks I'll make U18's squad or go even further but it's deffinetly challenging to be reconised as every girl there is talented and a great player but i'll just have to see how it goes i'll might get to go next year as ill still be in the age catagory although i'm not too sure. todays plan is to do some extra skills practice before hand and get out early to warm up they just give it my all.
Thank you this is great advice. I think I just need to get my tackle confidence up. My goal is to get scouted for an academy then play for England one day
Amazing videos, i have been looking for a RUclipsr like you for a while now and finally found the best one yet. Keep it up and i can’t wait for more videos 🙌🏼
Hey man I’ve just been able to play rugby at 18 . Due to my family’s religious beliefs I wasn’t allowed to during my childhood but have always loved the game. Currently 5 11’ and 70kgs . What do you recommend I do to begin advancing and what should I start training to achieve it ? Should I first make sure that I get a good grasp of the basics and then find a club or vice versa? How do you get into a club?
look online for local clubs near you. buy a rugby ball and literally just keep throwing it up im sure theirs videos on it. try get into a club ive literally only just started playing and ive already won both games ive played im 6" around 73kg at 15 i play for under 16 if you put in work you can get pretty good pretty fast . try join a club get a ball and watch as many LIVE rugby matches as u can to understand the game properly and gl bro
Yes just watch as many games as you can and be consistent with everything and maybe eat a bit more. I'm only 14 6" 75kg and joined like 3 months ago, but by being consistent with my practice and being passionate about my sport, I'm already a starter for my team and a player in my regional team Best of luck too you
Is it possible to get scouted in University? I still play age grade rugby and am moving to a better club as I got asked to by them and if I made it into the first team when I could and also played for a rugby oriented university can I get scouted through that? It’s my dream to play for England or in the premiership
@@JohnOkaforFitness okay cheers bro I was just concerned because I live in Doncaster which is north England and there's hardly any pro teams up here for union anyway
I have a trial tomorrow and I’m really nervous I know I can play well but I have trouble getting my head in the game. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks for any help.

Awesome advice man
Thank you. I really hope it was informative
@@JohnOkaforFitness totally! Keep it up
How can one look for a schoolarship or for scouters
Great advice, Even though the video is a bit monotonic. I don’t recommend gym for people under 15 though.
I am good rugby player in Kenya interested to play rugby in UK either trials please give me way forward
Your best option would be to move country, I’d be unlikely for a scout to be in Kenya try looking around and contact people
Great video
I’m glad you liked it !
Do you need to be in the 1st and second team

I play for a dpp at the moment any tips for someone progressing towards the academy stage
Which Dpp?

Nice video bro
Thank you my guy
Bro what age do you think is too late to get scouted (I'm 16 btw)
Absolutely not, I only took rugby properly around 15/16. Rugby is one of those sports you develop late. Physically and understanding the game

If you're good enough you'll get invited to regional trials by your club or school when you go into year 7
@Jack Horner maybe try get a scollar ship from your school
Ye I got one through club
Bro can your team plz sign me i play left wing
