- Hello guys, in this videos we'll cover how to shade drawings with pencil.
There are different shading techniques when it comes to drawing with pencil.
I'll help you figure out which drawing technique is best for drawing smooth skin. Basically, I shade a face with circular motions with a blend of hatching. I really hope this shading tutorial helps you achieve realistic skin.

That's very kind of you Dunja. Thanks a lot. I appreciate the feedback 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This is very impressive. To achieve such a natural look with only HB, 4B and charcoal is inspiring.
Wow thanks a million
I love how he uses easy cheap stuff
Hey, thanks. When I was starting out, i didn't have all the materials pro artists recommend and I think that's true of other beginners
Jason Legendary Art exactly right

This video is so helpful. Every bigginer thing to make realastic drawing he needs expencive materials.
Yes exactly, that's exactly how I felt. But you can create something decent with cheaper stuff. Thanks for your input
Wow its absolutely wild to see how much you’ve improved over the years or months etc
I always tell my sisters anyone can learn to draw but they never believe me lol😂
Yes exactly, anybody can draw. It's all about putting in the work to hone the skill. I still keep improving and learning new things.

I like the way you prove to me that you don't need a thousand dollars materials to get a realistic drawing
you don't need all of those things he uses either !
You have really helped me I am a 14 year old that knows how to draw but I really don't know how to draw realistically I always wanted a charcoal pencil but it was expensive so now u know that I can use actual charcoal thank you so much u are a real inspiration 🤗🥰
I'm glad to have helped you. But what do you mean by actual charcoal?
hi animator
I live in a small town so getting art materials is always hard. So i only get what i can from this small crafts shop. Nothing fancy just middle grade supplies like Faber Castell pencils.
I can understand, trust me I've been there. But if you can get Faber Castell, that's gold
Wow nice drawing m actually 14 years old ND I have been practicing since last year ND am getting better using only 2b pencil, cotton bud. Love 😍 ur drawings u are my mentor.

I've just now discovered your channel.. you're like the God for beginners ❤️
Lol, I'm no god, 🤣🤣🤣. But I'm glad you enjoy the tutorial
The tissue really helps with the shading
It sure does. I love using it when dealing with graphite
You are explaining so clearly...this is very helpful bro...
..
Hey Aidharla thanks a lot. I'm happy you understood my words.
Sir pls how do u make charcoal powder
Thetnk you so much for this technique
You're welcome, Maria
That's great thanks. I use cheap materials but l can't get it smooth enough.
Tissue should be enough to smoothen anything graphite unless it's a darker pencil.
These days I don't aim for absolute smoothness. I like the look of a little pencil texture
I love your technique
Thanks man
I love this guy's art I've never seen any better artist
Thanks so much and remain blessed

Wonderful!
I have pretty good drawing, but I must say I have learnt a lot man...thanks...been looking for a video that shows how to combine graphite with charcoal powder..I definitely going to try this out
I'm glad I've been of help. And you're right, not many videos show you how to shade with charcoal and graphite. If you have any troubles with this technique, you can DM me on Instagram or Facebook
Love your progress pics and the fact that you share cheap options. 🙌❤️
PS My main art jam is pencil sketching, and I use a combo of cheap HB and 0.5 mechanical pencils, and art pencils up to 6B softness.
@@lo-fidreamsASMR Yes. You can get expensive options when the money comes but I always advice to start with what is available. And yes light pencils like HB are wonderful for sketching and outlines. If you can, you could also get Charcoal Pencils for darker areas of a drawing. Thanks for stopping by, though.
Awesome work. Thank you for the tips.
No problem 👍
I like the way you teach you make me understand quickly. and I we like to Lane more for me💯💯🙏🙏🤗

Amazing content man! this really helped me out!
I'm glad it did, appreciate the feedback 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
U explain so well and clear learning a lot from you, When starting off with the first layer can you skip using Hb pencil and go straight to 4b?
Well, 4B is a little too dark, 2b is fine
Can we not use charcoal powder
Please what paper do you make use of.... And is it okay to blend graphite with charcoal?
I use Pelican Card. And yes it's okay at least that's what I do. I blend with charcoal powder.
But I don't use the powder early on, it's until after some layers of shading with graphite
Thank you SO MUCH for this
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
amazing, actually am finding it difficult to shade a face right now but i think this will help thanks a lot 😊

5:21 very straightforward
Much love man!
Appreciated thanks
Your videos are so informative.. thank you so much...
""I was wondering... The Charcoal Powder, did u make it from SOFT, Medium or hard charcoal??""
Yeah, I mainly make it from Hard Charcoal Stick/Block. If I'm making it from pencil, I'll use Soft or 6B Charcoal Pencil
Where can u buy charcoal pencils in namibia
I literally have no idea. But can you order from Amazon?
Thanks !great easy steps👍👍👍
🙏🏽🙏🏽
Where have u been all tha while wow soo educative
Lol, thanks 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Love your tutorials. Totally the best I've seen so far. What kind of paper do you use? My work always ends up looking rough. I don't know if it's just the paper. And my charcoal pencil is impossible to blend. It's just so rough
Yes, blending with charcoal pencil itself is a nightmare, what you blend with is charcoal powder. Then the paper you use definitely has an effect. I use Pelican or Strathmore
Very gifted ,thank you
You are welcome thanks
Thankyou very much bro. It's a very cheap way of drawing. Can you please tell me what kind of paper you are using to draw on?
Yea, I use what they call Pelican card. May not be available worldwide so I'll recommend Strathmore
Which paper you are using
I used Pelican in this video
Thanks. But I only have an HB pencil. And I want to create a realistic drawing. How will I go about it?
You'll have to keep layering with that same pencil. That is shade and blend, shade and blend repeatedly.
Thanks very much
You doing well bro. Jah bless your work.
Thank you very much Bro Kelvin 🙌🙌🙌
This is awesome I'm pleased, Im just a beginner and this is the best👌👌but I can't find your Instagram account

Please is there anyway to make the charcoal powder?
Thank you for your tutorial
You are welcome thanks
I don't use expensive materials to draw cause sometime or actually mostly you can create a masterpiece with almost anything for drawing without expensive materials
Definitely appreciate this video 👌👍
Hey, it's the Professor again. I'm happy I helped someone
amazing.... I love this,,,
My mentor
Bro 💯💯
Great work ...which type of blending is the best .brushes, tissue paper, ???
I used any type of tissue paper even among the cheapest and makeup brushes
Instead of charcoal dust can i use the pencil?
Sure thing Oshara. Pencils can still shade a face very realistically. I just love Charcoal powder because it gets the job quicker and more efficiently
This is beautiful
Thanks a lot Natasha
