I like the colors. I like the changes, and I'm heading over to Rockford early this spring to get a demo on this and a new Eddyline for the wife. Here's to a fun summer!
I've had my Flint for 2 years now with the EPS set up. It really is a great kayak. If I had any complaints, I would say I wish the seat design was a little different so you had some under seat storage. It doesn't leave much room for clearance under there since the frame goes across the bottom. Great review.
was the previous seat modified only from the factory to drop the center of gravity?; in other words, can you get the new lowered seat and slide it into place on an older model?; will the new seat knobs work on the old seat thread bolts?(same dia./pitch?)
I had the Pursuit a few years back and loved it, but too heavy and required a cart for me. Looking for a lighter weight option to bring the dog (50lbs) and get get quickly on the water and this is definitely looking like a good option with open space in bow and something that would still paddle well and NOT under 11’. Thoughts? Thanks and nice review!
@@bjl3640 better weight capacity and just under that 11 foot length. Just 9lbs heavier than the Flint. Bonafide SKF117 and the Liquidlogic Versa might be good options for you with a dog as well
Have you had a chance to paddle a 2024 model year Flint yet? I'm thinking of grabbing one, I already had a 2020 model and sold it, and always regretted it. I loved the Fusion seat in that one, a little worried the new low CG seat and the "recumbent" feature may not be as comfortable. Any input in that area? Thanks!!
Is the new recumbent position that different than the last version of the Fusion seat? Just hoping this seat feels the same as the old one to sit in, I think the lower position will be fine, just hoping it's the same comfort. Thank you for the reply, appreciate it!

Heck yeah
Unbeatable river fishing kayak especially with the pod can just toss all junk in there and that’s really all you need
The pod is amazing. I am filming a video on it today actually
@@thebeardedpaddler I don’t even use a crate and still have space for full day trip and 4 rods not beating that on another kayak

Great feedback.
I agree, but when you raise it up too much it really does sacrifice the stability
great updates, the price drop just adds to the awesomeness!
Great start to 2024 for Nucanoe
NuCanoe is doing things right 👊 Here I go thinking about trading for one of those again 😎
I’m going with a flint for 2024 I think, sold my old town last year and got a canoe….gotta fill the kayak hole this year through.
Never a bad time to go with the Flint!
So the Flint is a more nimble boat so to speak? Looking to add another kayak to complement the Unlimited.
I would wait and check out the 10ft unlimited being released in Feb
@@thenugget7288 oh wow. Yeah. I’ll wait. Thanks.
It's faster (not as fast as the Pursuit) but one of the beat values for river and creek fishing
How is the stability? Especially with a dog on board
Honestly will depend on the dog and the paddler. We have plenty of people floating them with dogs here

Great question, yes you can

Unlimited 10. It's actually 10' 10" and it's going to fill that gap nicely I think
Why the Unlimited 10 vs the Flint though? The Unlimited 10 is too heavy at 72lbs.

@@thebeardedpaddler Ok and thanks. Too heavy with the seat weight. Sounds like you’re not thinking the Flints a good option. 😃
@@bjl3640 not at all. I thought you were looking for alternatives. I love the Flint personally

I have not. I'm looking forward to it. I think the lowered seating position is gold for rivers

I'm super excited for the NuCanoe U10 (10ft Unlimited) being released in February.
Same here. Looking forward to getting my hands on one
In Like Flint! LOL
Nice!
