Hey, I know the video is old, but I have a question about setting up these things in a race car. When swapping the air cylinder from 1 to 0, does the air get vented, or does it stay in a closed loop? My question is, do I need a compressor, or just a reservoir filled with compressed air?
This is amazing. Did you ever get this working consistently and reliably? I want to do this, but this is WAY over my head. I may want to talk about hiring you.
What are you using to translate the force between the pneumatic pistons and the actual transmission shaft? (Basically what's in those black tubes and the silver cylinders?) :)
@@martiallabbe761 I was more wondering if you could fit straight cut gears with dog rings in order to enable clutchless shifting (at least on up shifts with fuel or spark cut); basically to make a baby sequential transmission...

Awesome project ! Can you detail what actuators, valves and software are you using ? Would be a great mod for my roadster too ;-)
Lovely
This is so awesome!

You answered your own question. Pneumatic = compressed air.
@@FLYRTA I was asking about what I now know as bowden cables :)
You are still planning on using the clutch for shifts though right? or are you gonna try to fit dog ring gears?
You can see an actuator for the clutch fluid pressure

Do you make these to sell?
I'm interested
