What a storm Wilma was! I was close by in Boca. Lost lots of roof tiles and screen enclosure collapsed. Worst storm I’ve been through and I’m a native. Irma was bad, but not a direct hit like Wilma was. I remember so vividly the leaves all being stripped off the trees after the storm. Truly it changed the look of south Florida for a while after!
Worst storm also for me in Dania Beach. Ripped off my 2 front shutters, 1 got stuck between my house and my truck, beating ITF as x Dr thru the whole storm, broke 1 window and shreaded my yard, no power for 3 weeks
@@judystanwyck789 When I was a kid growing up in Miami, I used to tune around my AM radio for distant stations. One was WBT in Charlotte. They said it was in 'Piedmont Carolina".

My area took a direct hit from Irma and Wilma, and Irma was definitely much worse than Wilma.
You all on the east coast really lucked out with that.

Wow, you got hit pretty hard there in Pompano. I'll bet some of those gusts were over 110mph.
Yep! We moved to NC 7 years ago. We were done with hurricanes!

My dad rode it out in the courthouse. Was very scary

I was in Tamarac in Broward County the forecasters blew the call on it
that was the wrost Hurricane i was ever in and amzing my apt bulding had no damage
