They were a criminally underrated band. I met Meg and Dia both at the Warped Tour in Atlanta in, I think, 2006. They were selling their CDs and giving out Doghouse Records samplers. Later that day, I also met their then guitarist Kenji. A great group of people.
(In my opinion obviously) I think they could or would be more deserving of more recognition if their comeback wasn't such sanitised and typical pop or triple J worthy alt-pop. What was good about them was their version of emo-pop/pop-rock, which was dissolved as their albums went along until their current stuff which could have been performed by anyone. Get rid of the synths, electronic drums and get back to the guitar centric music of the early days I say!
Meg and Dia were hidden there deep inside my childhood and I forgot all about them... it took me until 18 to explore my childhood memories again and recollect those feelings I felt listening to them on my first MP3 player in the 2000’s.

For the singer the only advice I can offer as a true fan is stop worrying about sounding good when you singX at all. Just express yourself. Their original Monster was remixed a bunch for dubstep. You can still find the video on here. :) But unfortunately, I'm sad to say you've found them too late... They broke up in/around 2012. Dia still does music under her name (Dia Frampton,) and on a side project band called "ARCHIS" (EP released a few years ago, you can find 'Blood' on RUclips.) She was also a contestant on The Voice. Meg and Nick had an independent thing called "The Khaki Scouts" and made an album, but that was about it. Meg does a few musical things on her own time, but nothing too big like the band. She actually left a band a little before their official break-up in 2012. She ran a handmade jewelry shop, but decided to close it so she can continue to work in her and Nick's coffee shop in Utah. I don't know where the other (mainly known) guys are, really? I believe in their break-up post they mentioned Jon being a chef in LA... It's kinda sad it's been so long.
