you could tell psychic 2 was doing it out of pure hobby & passion. a cozy little psychic room in the closet & telling you to go to the vet instead. i love her already.
I like that Jaiden represented Psychic 2 with Maya Fey, I feel like she'd certainly be a friendly psychic if she wasn't traveling everywhere with Phoenix and being dragged into murder charges a every corner 😅
@@cjlite0210I love how on the walk to the area she added details like Nick cooking and what looks to be a murder scene Maya will no doubt be accused of again. Or how in the closet its seperated where it ooojs like she has multiple dresses but Nick only has the suit he wears when he's taking a job-
That 4th one I think is probably the most dangerous to deal with. She's pushy without seeming predatory, and dishonest about what and when she's charging you beforehand AND during that time she had you wait she really hacked your info somehow and found out your exact income information.
Yeah, it sounded like the first 3 did a cold read, which is why it's all a bit standard and vaguely-positive, but the fourth almost definitely tries to check a client's socials beforehand to give a more personal-sounding reading. Devious!
My aunt used the be a psychic back in the 90s. She did palm readings, astral map, tarot, the whole thing. Her clients were, usually, middle and upper class stay-at-home wifes. I remember asking her about her job and she told me her job was, essentially, to be a friend of these women. These ladies that lived for her husbands and essentially had no friends or social interactions outside of family, she was there basically to listen to them and bond with them over weird little things they care about. It completely changed my perspective about her job. Sure, there are a lot of psychs that are scammers and predatories. But there are also those "stealth-therapists" like my aunt; SPECIALLY back then in the 90s with the whole stigma of therapy and the whole patriarchy thing.
Psychic 2 is just… awesome She just does what you ask for, recommends a hobby thats good for both your mental and physical health, and then tells you to go to the vet if you have real concerns very wholesome
@@krankarvolund7771 it must be a hobby for her, either way I'm glad she's made a hobby on reassuring people and reading cards- which is a really cool skill :>
@@krankarvolund7771 tbf, we don't know how often her bookings are vs her expenses for general cost of living. It's one of those things, like voice acting from what I've been looking into, where it sounds like a lot on paper but could barely manage to pay the bills depending on circumstances and how often they are commissioned work like that. If it's just a hobby that makes a lil scratch on the side, that's all positives, but depending on it for actual income likely wouldn't work out by itself.
As a "psychic" myself (i do tarot), the fun part of the cards is that everything is heavily up to interpretation, which is why many people use them as a form of reflection! The 'kids' part don't necessarily have to be children, it can be anyone who you are a caretaker of, which includes pets :) Also, please be wary of people who charge hundreds for a reading, you can do them yourself with an Amazon deck and access to google. I'm not gonna knock anyone who does it for a living, but I find that people who do tend to be very money hungry, and are likely to say whatever you wanna hear.
Wait that's so true tho! In my readings, anything that mentions kids I redirect to it talking about my pets. And then for romance, I interpret it as meaning close ties to friends most times because I'm aro. So yeah, getting a tarot deck as a hobby thing for like $15 of amazon is a pretty good deal. And it's just fun.
“Beware a bearded man that will approach you.” - Mr. Beast “You’ll grow attached to someone else’s baby.” - Tofu’s eggs and the original Tostada “You’ll have three babies.” - Two birds and a cat "You'll get into a light car accident." - Alpharads Miku-Mobile broke down while Jaiden was in it "You'll live a long, healthy life into your eighties." - We'll have to check back on this one after a couple of decades, but hopefully, this one also comes true.
Psychic 4 was a smart psychic because she put you in a situation that was really difficult to get out of. The other psychics just gave you a really easy to decline offer, but by you having to borrow her things, it encouraged you to come back repeatedly, before eventually swindling 800 dollars from you.
Yep, Also the making her wait 40 minutes part. I'm pretty sure she does that to tests her clients limits. A client that would be willing to wait 40 minutes for her instead of Ditching is certainly most likely to bend to social convention and come back
Yeah I had a similar experience but I wasn’t searching for a psychic or whtvr she just came up to me and started sweet-talking to me and gave me her phone number. I was swayed but I still never called her lol
And the best (read: most horrifying) part is that it's psychic 1 and 2 that have left the impression of being predatory, not number 4, the one that actually made of with a pretty substantial amount of money in a very shady way. All of these come across as con artists (okay, except maybe 5, because she got high, and 2 maybe a bit less than the others, but that isn't a compliment in itself), but number 4 is the one who's actually good at it.
@@brandonborlaza9205 that depends on who’s doing the readings. Most of them are pretty similar but have little differences that vary from reader to reader. Personally, I do readings by myself, meaning the client only tells me their problem or what they want to know, and I read by asking the cards to show me the thing, shuffle and pick the cards. Then, I get the meanings of the cards and weave together an answer that may or may not have extra information depending on the position of the cards in the reading - it’s not really a science, it’s more intuitive in my case. After telling the client what I was told, we might talk a bit more for some minutes to examine variables and details not previously disclosed, which may lead to a refinement in the answer since you get more context. I think being able to be empathetic and analitic of your client’s situation is really helpful for a reader, as you can understand better how things are tying together in their lives atm, which leads to better advices post-reading.
@@brandonborlaza9205 im sort of a newbie reader and it mainly just intuition. Yea you could string together a message knowing the textbook definition of the cards but a lot of the time, that dont work. Other times, when i dont feel the connection i still say whatever comes to mind but it feels like im pulling stuff our of my ass. and i know that must sound like sum woowoo shit to non believers but, hey, have an open mind, we dont know shit about the universe so denying any possibility of this stuff being real is just as illogical as believing things without reason.
Imagine being a psychic and doing a normal reading, then a few months later you see an animated video about someone getting psychic readings and you recognized their voice
A buddy of mine used to be a psychic. He said that a lot of the time when people would come in for readings, they were the type of people that just didn't have many places left to turn to. Desperate people. People that just wanted peace of mind. He said a lot of times when he was giving readings, he would put the readings aside and just talk and listen to them to find out why they were really there. These are people that normally you can take advantage of them. They recently lost loved ones and want to reach out to them, they lost their jobs or have big medical problems. People just want to hear that everything is going to be okay.
Mmhm. It's a common assumption that people buying luxuries are rich (like people who assume gacha game big spenders are millionaires.) In reality, these people are usually desperate, and/or addicted to spending money.
@@Promatim I spent money and instantly got a drop of seratonin/dopamine in my brain. That means I should spend more! It's exactly what casinos, gotcha games, loot boxes and Amazon or geared toward preying on.

psychic 2 earned my respect. didn’t try and sell you anything, even after learning about your financial situation, cared enough about your birds to remind you to take care of them, and all around seemed like a very pleasant person. :)
Yeah, I don't respect the job since it's a scam but it at least sounds like she's just in it for the money (which is potentially understandable since money is important & not always easy to get) & still wants her customers to have a good time. One of the rare cases where someone doing something really bad still seems like a good person. After all, she'd probably make more money if she threw all morality away & just told people their relatives/pets/friends will die if the don't buy something expensive & come back for another reading after using it. Unless I'm underestimating the value of happy customers who genuinely wanna come back in the psychic industry.

7:44 With the video of ari and tofu having eggs, technically she became very attached to them, to the point she put them in a freezer just to not boil them.
@@Very_Unique_Handle_2 There were eight eggs total though, and they were frozen which kills them so none of them are ever going to hatch. Not related in the slightest.
@Trevhy it's really not surprising, the point of all those predictions is to be as general as possible so your mind will correct them for your life itself.
No they don’t. They’re still a scammer. Just because they’re a better person than the other scammers doesn’t mean that they “should be protected at all costs”.
@justanotherhappyhumanist8832 Nice to see others get it! It's kinda sad how some people don't have good friends or family to give them the positive reinforcement they need. Cos if they did have that, they wouldn't be willing to spend $90+ on it.
When they predicted she'll have 3 kids I was skeptical, but then I also thought that they might have meant pets. I mean some owners do see their pets as their own kid so it's plausible that Jaiden will get another pet.
They most likely got that from reading her palms. If I remember correctly, small lines on one side of of one of your hands represent how many children you're going to have. I'm guessing Jaiden has three of those lines, so all 4 psychics had the same reading.
2 was a wonderful person; not forcing you into anything extra, giving honest advice rather than trying to get more money, and recommending hiking which is an easy thing to see benefits and appeal in.
That's probably cause she doesn't rely on it being her main source of income and more of a side hustle/hobby, she literally does her readings in a closet.
WAIT! So one one of the psychics told her that one of her friends would have a baby and that she would get attached 7:45 . She got attached to her friends cat which made her get a cat! WHICH MEANS SHE HAS THREE PETS! WHAT THE FRICK!
The 3 kids thing is probably a standard response, or otherwise coordinated. And yeah, they just exploit vulnerable people, they see you are worried about your birds and immediately jump at the opportunity. Also, they were able to predict that the healthy looking person that pays $90 for a psychic is financially stable. Real impressive.
From what I know, it is. My friends and I have fucked around in the “physicic community”(idk how to spell it😭)and 3 or 2 kids is a usual response as well as the jealous ppl thing
Or probably is something linked to the palm reading and it's "in the manual" "If this line is this long, lives 80+, if this line branches here, 3 kids"... this is something "fixed" that in turn gives "validity" to the claims, as if, like Jaiden, one gets multiple palm readings from different people, the answer will be the same every time
I think that it's so standard because most of us have around the same size hands. From what I know, how long our life will be, how many kids we will have and other palm reading stuff from the length of the three most prominent lines on our hand. The rest of the predictions: they look at your body language and predict some stuff that is very vague. Like you are working on a big project - most of us are working on stuff, and it can be perceived as big of small if you take it that way.
As a tarot reader myself, Psychic number 2 definitely has my respect for telling you to check with the vet if you are worried about your birds instead of paying a ridiculous sum of money for random dodads that they ‘claim’ will help. The way I see it, crystals and incense are to be used for mental wellbeing and not for medical benefit. After all, they are just rocks and pleasant smells, but that doesn’t mitigate the feeling of calm they can give you if you believe in it. Also about the 3 kids thing! Since you already have 2 birds (who you really care a lot about) it’s very possible that the 3rd ‘kid’ could be referring to another bird in the future. Just my guess though :3
a lot of "psychic predictions" is just interpretation of energies! the psychics might've interpreted those energies as "3 kids" but they definitely could've just been 3 birdos:]
I recently went for a tarot reading. The psychic kept massaging her palm during the beginning of the reading, and then abruptly said, "Are you a writer? My hand won't stop cramping up. I think you need a massage." I had just finished catching up on 11 days of journal entries like.... an hour before this. Felt a bit uncanny.
I love that you designed Psychic #2 as Maya and Psychic #4 as Chihaya. The personalities fit so well. #2 was probably doing the readings as a hobby, she has ethics and doesn't try to convince you some crystal and incense can magically cure every ailment known to man. Which is something Maya Fey would definitely do in AA if she wasn't caught up in 2 different murder cases every month. Whilst #4 starts off nice but quickly revealed to be worse than #1 and #3. Selling you a nap with a buncha crystals and some incense for $700 is 100% a Chihaya thing to do, considering she tried to sell your Persona 5 character a 100,000 yen rock.
In the defense of chihaya (spoiler for her confident) it was the group that convinced her fate can’t be changed so if I remember she thought she was doing the right thing ( might be wrong I’ve haven’t played in awhile) but later on she feels bad for selling the rocks and does refund everyone. But in the end I do agree with because rank 1-4 chihaya would 100% percent scam
As an Ace Attorney fan, I appreciate a lot that you used Maya (and all the other Ace Attorney references) to represent the second and nicest medium, as she is indeed a sweet-heart and I hope more people give those great visual novels a chance 🙏
Same! I was in shock when I saw Maya on the thumbnail and even mORE shocked when she was actually in the video too! As the 'favourite psychic', no less!
remember that jaiden has a team of animators, meaning it is likely that jaiden wasn't the one that made the decision to include ace attorney references nontheless, it's still in jaiden's video and channel
Well, "three kids" thing is easy - apparently, Jaiden will have a third bird someday 😉 Also - seeing Maya, Mia and Phoenix brings me unexpectedly lots of joy ✨ Thanks for the video!
There was a book I read once about a girl who's mom was a psychic. Basically her mom put her psychic store inside of a spa so that people could get pampered before getting read. And the spa was also a place where the mom could here about rumors and life stories of the customers. So when they went to get their reading, the mom would tell them what they wanted to hear based off of what she heard in the store.
One time I got my palms read, and the psychic asked what I wanted to know about my future, so I told her I wanted to know about my romantic destiny. She sucked through her teeth and then told me that maybe I should just not focus on romance. ever. haunts me to this day.
So, good news for you. Most of the psychic and tarot industry is built on romantic readings. And some practitioners get really sick of it after a while. She was totally in the wrong to react that way, but she may be one that is sick of it, and it’s not you.
honestly, just go for it if romance naturally comes up. Regardless of whether it’s a good or bad experience, you will learn something in the end and grow as a person. Psychic tend to tell you of bad stuff that may happen, but like, bad stuff is always gonna happen. Might as well have the right mindset going in, and who knows? She could be very wrong :)
Love how that she had 100% reading rate from the psychics she visited that she was going to have 3 children. Though since she calls her birbs her kids, it's most likely she'll get another birb to join the family
Jaden is already a mother of three. 2 birds and 1 cat. I think Toastada is her pet but I could be wrong. And I agree with other commentators that Tofu's eggs are someone else's kids she kinda became attached to. However, I don't really have faith in psychics, mostly due to blanket statements. It's still fun to speculate on other people's readings for what could be true or false. Loved the video as always 😄
You already have two bird children, perhaps you’ll get another one soon? I also think it’s fantastic that the psychic told you to go to the vet if you’re genuinely worried about your birds health
Psychic 2 is basically exactly what you should go for in a psychic you trust. The hallmark of a good one is trying to improve your life - trying to steer you towards activities and directions that they see being good for you. In that vein, always be wary when a psychic diminishes school medicine and always take positive note when a psychic steers you towards it. Taking modern medicine seriously and knowing when to put you into the hands of a good medical professional shows they are skeptical themselves and have your best interests at heart.
@@StarDustForge i'm not interested in psychics however i can see that some people feel like the title of "therapist" is too serious and feels like they're admitting they need and want help (which some people don't have the courage to admit) so something thats offhand and more "less-responsibility-wise", like a psychic, can direct them in the right direction without directly confronting 100% about their issues
@@deadalpeca8099 No. Look... therapists are like a doctor, right? But you don't go to the doctor for every ailment. Sometimes you have a headache for a day, so you take a painkiller and move on. Sometimes, your throat's a bit scratchy and your nose is a bit stuffy, but after some tea you feel much better. Psychics are to therapists what pharmacists and over the counter meds are to doctors. You shouldn't treat chronic or intense ailments with them, there is a point where a professional needs a deeper look at you. But there are also things that may need a little external boostie, but are possible to heal with on your own just fine. You may need the boostie to make the healing period less stressful, or to give your body (mind) a small burst of strength to handle it. Some spiritual practices might even become permanent healthy lifestyle decisions, like meditation and stuff like aromatherapy for mindfulness, or affirmations. A good pharmacist will be able to go "Oh, I have just the thing!" when you ask about a small issue. Sometimes they even know better what will work well than a doctor, especially if you've been a regular for a while. But they will also absolutely go "I'm sorry, but that needs to be checked by a doctor." when that's appropriate. That reflects how good psychics work.
I like how she mentions that she doesn’t want 3 kids, even though that part has already come true. She has Ari, Tofu, and Tostada. Those psychics were spot on!
As a Tarot reader for my friends just for practice and for funsies, I have mad respect to psychic No. 2 because she actually gave real real advice for the birds. For me, tarot is just a 50/50 way to guide a person through future events, When I do my readings, I ask them to focus on their questions or what they wanted to know from the reading, and they pick it based on their intuition and I just read the meaning, get to know the question, re-contextualize it based on said question. I don't really know about chakras but the other 4 psychics, man those are some slippery eels mammonist for money. I am glad psychic 2 just said "just have regular appointments for ur birds" which is sweet and im glad she didnt pull out some bullcrap.
Mhm, also chakras the way western psychics talk about them aren’t accurate at all. Most learn about them from some white guy in yoga pants who listened to another white guy who has never so much as seen an actual yogi. It’s such a departure from the actual culture where the idea was born that it’s basically a different thing.

The whole " you will have 3 kids and live past 80" definitely feels like a script read for someone Jaiden's gender and age. Either that or they really were psychics.
She didn’t mention it much but she also said she got a palm reading from every psychic and that’s what is read on palms. Heart lines show generally how old you’ll get to, and intersections in it will often show how many kids (or things you treat like kids such as beloved pets) will be in your life. And while cards can fluctuate, your palm won’t change so the reading stays consistent.
@@thirdeye440 i think its more that all four are using the same reference on palm reading, rather than any hard fact as to if something is true or not. So if a book for palm reading says ‘people with heart lines this length usually live to be in their 80s!’ And all four read that, then that’s what they’re going to say, regardless of how true that actually is.
The reason why "3 kids" is a standard psychic line is because something like 95% of people have that number or less, making it another plausible-sounding point to add into the mix before they try to sell you something.
Yep, thought the same. It's what you'd think would be a good number but not too many for someone who's supposedly successful and financially secure and would be interested in having children, which is what these psychics all predict their clients to be (at least, the ones who aren't going for the "you've got this bad thing waiting for you in the future, buy my spiritual protection!" grift instead).

As someone who’s family is very into this same stuff, witchy stuff and the like, 3/4 were DEFINITELY taking advantage of you, the one who suggested the vet is the only one I’d listen too, psychics should never be pushing expensive services ON TOP of pricing the work ridiculously high. It’s meant to be a service for the people around you and to share your gifts, not to say you can’t charge but as someone who tarot reads I only takes tips if given and don’t ask for payment.
This. My friend Mindi does readings for free. I haven't gotten a reading from her yet because I don't want one yet. But she's super cool and has good vibes. She said she likes doing readings for free and she's giving me tips with starting to do my own readings
@@alexskywalker5478 Doing free readings help us learn the art of reading tarot! It gives us more practice and helps us while we help others so it’s an equal exchange. And the last psychic ARE YOU JOKING ME. How does she even have clients 😤 She deserved an earfull.
As a friend of friends with plenty of Fur Babies, congratulations to Future Jaden on being the proud mother of three birds or gerbils or whatever your animal of choice is, because as Macbeth will attest, predictions are often subject to interpretation and perspective.
Did anyone realize that the ‘stumbling across fortune’ and ‘beware of a mustached man with an offer’ could be a reference to the Mr beast challenge that she won?
Psychic 2 is an animal lover. She knows there are people out there who would actually meditate over their animals instead of necessary medical care. Heck, there are parents out there doing that to their children and it causes so much pain and suffering
the reason 80 years and 3 kids thing seems to be a constant is probably because of the palm reading. the lines on your hand actually mean something (if you look at the chart that palm readers typically follow) so since they all follow the same chart, that's probably why they all said you'll live until 80 and have 3 kids.
Fun fact, my mom was into psychics and set me up with readings from time to time. When talking romantically about if I'd get in a relationship, they all felt like I was already in one, and since I was certain I wasn't, they assured me it must be happening very soon. But I did not like any of the guys I knew, and definitely was not romantically interested in them. Anyway, now me and the female friend I was very close to have gotten happily married and they were all 100% correct on that one.
The fact that Psychic 2 was designed like Maya from Ace Attorney, with the mini walking sequence having Phoenix Wright cooking in the kitchen as well as her dead sister appearing for the spiritual reading is a fun touch I like
Oh, that fourth psychic was a master of the soft sale. She kept "giving" you things without telling you it was extra or what it cost, then charged you after you took it. Sketchy, but effective
Yeah even the fact she lend the incense burner was wicked : By lending it jaiden would have had to give it back ... Also by seeing how she waited for her she knew she would have given stuff back to her ... Idk how much that is deliberate or it's just her being a natural , But she is soo good at manipulating it's kinda attractive
Her also describing how much Jaiden makes was probably to see if she could actually afford her services. Like by looking at her reaction/what she told her she knew how much she can get away with Charging her. And not feel bad about it because it is within her 'monthly income' and securing a permanent customer.
wait... bearded man?fortune?...three kids?? attached to a baby,a trip...mr.beast, two birds a cat..you feel bad about the eggs- and you went to japan??
The whole " you will have 3 kids and live past 80" definitely feels like a script read for someone Jaiden's gender and age. Either that or they really were psychics.
That would almost certainly have come from the palm reading. There are wrinkles on the pinky side of your hand that suggest how many children you'll have, and the line running towards your wrist and maybe even curving toward your thumb is your life line.
@@kadegetslaid634that’s just how palm readings work, there’s like a guideline to it, and all of them read the same palm, as to whether how accurate it is…
@@Shadessmh To be fair, as a person who has done tarot readings for free, most of it is cold reading and giving the obvious advice that these people's friends clearly are too polite to tell them. EDIT: Like, for example, this dude came to me and was talking about his awful ex-girlfriend that was complaining for everything, and I was thinking to myself that this dude was obviously blaming her for everything and not taking accountability, and turns out that when I did his cards, he had the Hermit Arcana, which is for introspection, and I said to him: "Well, your cards say that you may be partly responsible of your relationship's downfall, are you sure that your girlfriend is the sole responsible?" And he was like: "Maybe I was too pushy and I may have disregarded how she felt a couple of times" 2nd EDIT: Also, another time I was doing readings for free, I was asked by a woman who was basically recently out of an abusive relationship, had lost all of her support systems due to the shitty boyfriend isolating her and wanted to figure out what to do with her life. I flat out told her that I wouldn't be able to help her much with that, that she should see a therapist because that was a thing that a therapist should help her solve. She told me that she didn't want outright help, she just wanted some certainty, and I did her cards and it turned out that her cards were the World, the Empress and the Star, which, combined, basically give a lecture of a hopeful future and a lot of girl power.
My mom has always been into the psychic thing and she once told me a genuine psychic is not going to charge you, and the best reading she ever got that was 100% accurate was in the back corner of a library where she was charged absolutely nothing.
Yeah, a real psychic wouldn't need money since they can just see the lottery numbers, or what company to invest it. Maybe they all got bitcoin back in the day
Takeaways: 1. She already has 2 kids (her birds) so maybe having 3 kids means she will get another bird 2. Jacob Alpharad is definitely a bearded man who could give Jaiden a business opportunity
The problem with psychics is that the majority of them don't even believe what they tell you. They see a person with a lot of money and are willing to capitalize on their insecurity and anxiety with positive affirmation
Good to know Mystic Maya is still providing quality care to her clients, in spite of most of her family being dead/in prison/possibly awaiting the death penalty
They never said they had to be human kids. And if they really were talking about another it makes way more sense if Jaiden got super attached to it especially if it was one of her family's.
I read tarot regularly and it’s generally more of a thought experiment than an actual “psychic reading” but there is a lot in the imagery and meaning of the cards that lets anyone who’s good with a narrative weave a fun story. The psychics were right about at least a few things, and thankfully those things were all positive. “Beware a bearded man that will approach you.” - Mr. Beast “You’ll grow attached to someone else’s baby.” - Tofu’s eggs and the original Tostada “You’ll have three babies.” - Two birds and a cat
As someone who can read Tarot, I’m the opposite of spiritual but that’s just a fun skill my mom taught me. Back in high school, my classmates would go insane and call me a witch but at the same time wanted a reading. So I was doing tarot readings once in a while and from experience can tell you that it’s pretty easy to be spot on about the person you’re reading if you have strong intuition. I knew my classmates for years so it was easy to predict the obvious and like you said, it’s easy to do some general remarks that seem deep and well fetched and ppl believe you.
Cold reading and applied use of barnum statements to get your target to read specifics into a broad statement goes a long way to establishing rapport with a target, yeah.
@@a-s-greig Do some googling! Look up Barnum Statements, Cold Reading (but not the theatrical term) and Hot Reading, and educate yourself on how the manipulation works. You can do some roleplay with yourself or even practice doing it yourself with friends in light hearted moments - like as a game. The more familiar you become with it, the easier it is for you to pick it out when it happens around you.
My Grandma once told me she went to a psychic in her thirties and she told her she’d die in a car accident ten or so years later… she lived until the ripe old age of 81 and died of cancer. I think psychics certainly have their merit, but we shouldn’t take what they say as inevitable. We’re in charge of writing our own stories, even when the ink spills and the unexpected happens, at least that’s what I like to believe. So remember to keep on moving forward, even when things seem like poop. Great video, this was fun to watch.
Psychics have no merit whatsoever except for entertainment. Most of them either toss out blanket statements and see how you react to them (cold reading) or they look you up beforehand if they can to find out stuff about you (hot reading).
Pretty sure psychic 2 has a business model based on positive readings: if you only predict nice and comfortable stuff for somebody, they will be in a postitive mental state allowing them to fulfill their predictions themselves... which means they might return to hear more good news. It's more about reassuring people than predating on their insecurities.
It could also be that she knows how people can react to being told bad things from psychics and readings. There's plenty of people that will throw down if they're told there's something wrong with them, especially by a stranger who's doing so with a bunch of cards, so I can see it both ways, but the fact she was never pressuring her to come back or to buy something, and im pretty sure she said she recommended some things she could do (i could be misremembering) without asking her to pay for anything, she seems like she's a genuine practitioner who may be either a bit early in public practice and doesnt want anyone to start anything with her, or she just never wanted any kind of fight to start anyway. She also could have had a genuinely positive reading that day, and there wasnt anything negative for the psychic to say, because again, she did seem genuine in her practice, and if you are genuine you dont make wild assumptions based on little to nothing like the others seemed to do. She just seemed to read the cards and her palm and tell her what it all meant, and you dont always have something negative in card readings, sometimes everything said is a positive
sorry for the long response to that lol, this relates to something I do believe in but i get it if you dont, i just wanted to share my opinion and thoughts on the matter! ✨
Bit of a heavy subject, but my cousin died to cancer in her early 20s a couple of years ago and I remember my mum and aunt going to a medium to talk to her. I remember my mum saying that they both knew it was all fake and pretend and witchy woo but that they still cried when the medium said she was in a better place, it gave my mum and aunt a means to say goodbye, to express some of their grief. And for this, I cannot help but feel immense gratitude and respect. That doesn't mean phychics cannot be incredibly awful and predatory, but I can understand why this exists, why people buy into it, why people need it.
@Abedeuss That's not taken advantage of. They went to get some closure, if it helps you be able to move on then or overcome something then it's not taken advantage off. By your definition if it's that's taken advantage of, so is going to a thearpist, or a life coach, or going to church who use different methods but all of them basically have the same goal in mind is to help you get better. Now I'm not denying most psychics are not great, but that's not what taken advantage of someone means.
I'm sorry about your cousin. Even though I'm a skeptic of psychic stuff, I think there are some who genuinely convince themselves they're doing something real, and also some who know it's not real but convince themselves they're helping people find closure or comfort. And I'm sure in some cases it does actually make people feel better - but it still strikes me as a reckless thing to do, especially to people who are at such a vulnerable point in their lives. It seems like they could easily do more harm than good. I'm glad it ended up providing comfort for your mom and your aunt, though.
@@Tim3.14 I can say for certain that there are real mediums out there. for example, my mom had one randomly show up at her door one day, completely uninvited. Started telling her about my dead sister and grandma and a whole ton of personal shit that was only ever know between my mom, dad, sister and I. Stuff that you would have to be there in person at the time it happened to know the exact details of. This was only 4 years ago too.
@@Abedeuss While you're entitled to your opinion, I'd hardly think they were taken advantage of when, as I said, they knew it was all fake and pretend and witchy woo going into it, and have expressed no regret whatsoever over spending that money. I'm sorry if you've had a bad experience with psychics, but I ask that you not superimpose your own bias onto their experience.
I personally always find that the best psychics, card readers, mediums, etc are going to be ones that don't over charge, don't upsell you and also are able to give some from the heart advice.
Psychic 2 definitely seems like the most honest one for sure. All the meditations they recommended are things you don't actually have to pay money for. Nor do you even need a lot of the fancy stuff. Also, you already have two kids. Just get a third bird and BAM! Three kids. They're just small and feathered.
@@rustymidlander05 If Maya is Psychic 2's name, well then qualifications are kinda irrelevant. Sure they're nice ig but she could've just learned it from someone upon an unofficial basis, or even just figured it out herself.
I feel like that 4th gal was a properly practiced con-artist. I betcha she made SURE you'd draw 3 queens, and had looked you up beforehand to get the job and finance things. Also letting you "borrow" her stuff and giving you specific rituals and things? Absolutely brilliant way to force a dependency so that she could fleece you for all your cash. Even the making you wait before the meeting was probably a power move. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing.
Tbf they all seem super shady except for the second psychic. And not just because they overcharge, but more of the way they use their telling as a way to emotionally manipulate people into buying more of their services. Like the third psychic clearly used fearmongering as a tactic so her overpriced therapies don't look so bad after all. It's sad that fortune telling has become such a huge scam, I think there's some real mental benefits of having your future being somewhat enlightened.
I've dabbled in tarot readings before; i don't really believe in magic or supernatural stuff but i find that the tarot is a good way for focusing my mind when I'm mentally working through a problem. All the cards and their established meanings and symbols help me take all the jumbled and chaotic thoughts in my head and neatly organize them so i can better walk myself through a difficult situation without getting distracted by wayward thoughts and emotions, and as someone with ADHD thats pretty dang helpful
That's the way I approach my readings, as a way to help people sort out what's on their mind. I do believe in the spiritual side of things, but honestly most of my readings don't need/make me tap into it. They're just conversations with pictures involved.
I agree! whether its real or not, I think its a good way to approach some deep thinking about your issues. Also I've never had someone else do my tarot I've done my own and other people's, but the ones I've done were always pretty accurate tbh
Just for future reference for anyone I’ve heard incense can be harmful to bird respiratory systems (most pets actually) so be careful with doing it in rooms they’re in.
Can confirm incense is not safe around cats. I've sadly made that mistake and it resulted in some costly treatments to save one of mine from a toxicity build up. Most animals have a much stronger sense of smell than humans do, so even if they're unlikely to be harmed, it's still typically quite an unpleasant experience for them.
as a person who reads tarot, the second psychic seems like an actual decent person! the ones who tried to sell you things based on anxieties youd been clear about are flat out predatory and i find it genuinely disgusting to take something like tarot reading and the like and use it to get hundreds of dollars out of struggling people. thank you for being respectful about the entire idea of "psychics" (i personally dont use the word but idm it) as its a very important piece of a lot of peoples lives and it sucks to see people shit on the regular people who practice it in their own lives
Same here, and I agree- the whole “by the way, go take ur pets to the vet if you’re worried is a great idea” thing is something I would so tell somebody too xD
When every psychic is a scam, what you do is based on nothing but pseudoscience and you charge $90... yeah you can't blame people for being disrespectful. Even if Jaiden sugarcoat her whole experience, it prouve (once again) that everything is bullshit.

As a "psychic" myself (i do tarot), the fun part of the cards is that everything is heavily up to interpretation, which is why many people use them as a form of reflection! The 'kids' part don't necessarily have to be children, it can be anyone who you are a caretaker of, which includes pets :)
Also, please be wary of people who charge hundreds for a reading, you can do them yourself with an Amazon deck and access to google. I'm not gonna knock anyone who does it for a living, but I find that people who do tend to be very money hungry, and are likely to say whatever you wanna hear.

I found out what tarot cards were from JJBA. You could say I'm not the most "spiritual" person.

He said a lot of times when he was giving readings, he would put the readings aside and just talk and listen to them to find out why they were really there.

I think that it's so standard because most of us have around the same size hands.

Now THATS how you do it
omg what book

One time I got my palms read, and the psychic asked what I wanted to know about my future, so I told her I wanted to know about my romantic destiny. She sucked through her teeth and then told me that maybe I should just not focus on romance. ever. haunts me to this day.
Personally, I wouldn't take that
So, good news for you.

AND she animated her as maya fey :)
Isnt' that just what a therapist is supposed to be for? Why go for a psychic if the majority of them just want to sell you snakeoil?
So basically a therapist with extra steps?

For me, tarot is just a 50/50 way to guide a person through future events, When I do my readings, I ask them to focus on their questions or what they wanted to know from the reading, and they pick it based on their intuition and I just read the meaning, get to know the question, re-contextualize it based on said question.

The whole " you will have 3 kids and live past 80" definitely feels like a script read for someone Jaiden's gender and age. Either that or they really were psychics.
Finally someone says it, I've been looking for a comment like this
She didn’t mention it much but she also said she got a palm reading from every psychic and that’s what is read on palms. Heart lines show generally how old you’ll get to, and intersections in it will often show how many kids (or things you treat like kids such as beloved pets) will be in your life. And while cards can fluctuate, your palm won’t change so the reading stays consistent.
@@astoroidea6502 I don't see how someone's palms could have any relation with how many times they end up procreating successfully
@@thirdeye440why do you expect palm readings to make scientific sense

The three kids are the birds you’ll get another one
bearded man with business opportunity- *MR BEAST???*
They still got taken advantage of, holy crap. The psychic didn't do it for free.
I absolutely loved physic #2. She just seemed so nice and wasn't a rip-off like the first one
Maya fey never fails
MAYA FEY IS THE QUEEEEEEN
I personally always find that the best psychics, card readers, mediums, etc are going to be ones that don't over charge, don't upsell you and also are able to give some from the heart advice.
2023: mother of 2 (ari and tofu)
2024: mother of 3 (ari,tofu & tostada)
It all makes sense now
I love the idea of a psychic imagining what sorts of big purchases someone would have in mind, only to be told its for a big plushie.
Psychic 2 is adorable. I love how you drew her as Maya Fey from phoenix wright.
exactly!!
Pretty impressive considering Maya isn't qualified in the slightest. She must have channeled the spirit of a real psychic.
@@rustymidlander05 If Maya is Psychic 2's name, well then qualifications are kinda irrelevant. Sure they're nice ig but she could've just learned it from someone upon an unofficial basis, or even just figured it out herself.
@@wannabecat369 Or maybe Mia taught her
Yes. Pets are fur and feather babies
@@rustymidlander05 Who is Mia?
UPDATE : jaiden does have 3 kids now... 2 birbs and 1 tostada fighting for 4th place among the 3 of them
I feel like that 4th gal was a properly practiced con-artist.
Of course the animators made it Miss “100000 yen to start a Social Link and get some rock salt, pre-Character Development!” It fits too well!
Oh no question
I believe that's what tarot cards are truly for, they tell you what's in the present and what can you do but not tell your future.
Just for future reference for anyone I’ve heard incense can be harmful to bird respiratory systems (most pets actually) so be careful with doing it in rooms they’re in.
Oh, that's probably the danger that the other psychics saw in the future of Jaiden's birds!
Keeping in mind Jaidens latest video. She already has 3 kids! 2birds and 1cat
as a person who reads tarot, the second psychic seems like an actual decent person! the ones who tried to sell you things based on anxieties youd been clear about are flat out predatory and i find it genuinely disgusting to take something like tarot reading and the like and use it to get hundreds of dollars out of struggling people. thank you for being respectful about the entire idea of "psychics" (i personally dont use the word but idm it) as its a very important piece of a lot of peoples lives and it sucks to see people shit on the regular people who practice it in their own lives
I also read tarot, and 100% agree!!
After seeing Nick and Maya I am struck with the need for Jaiden to animate a play through of Ace Attorney like her nuzlocks
Dude, I'd love that, that'd be awesome!!
Please
I can't imagine the animations for the literal clown case. If she actually did that, it would be GOLDEN.
