I purchased the curls up combs down kit from Devacurl on amazon for $40. It gave me a chance to try the product without huge commitment. I've been using the supercream with their ultra defining gel. I just purchased the Devacurl Supercream based off your recommendation and tried it out yesterday and wow! Such smooth, defined curls! I normally have to use gel to keep my curls from frizzing up and losing their shape, but I found applying this cream gave me gorgeous curls even after taking it down from my pineapple this morning. you should make a video that compares this method to how your hair would look if you just got out of the shower and let it dry without doing any of that!!!!!
okay admittedly a couple months ago i saw her twisting each curl and i was like nope😂 but i tried it one day when i was bored and desperate and im here to say this works well! once you get a hang of twisting the stands, it shouldnt take much longer then 15-30 depending on thickness and length, but its so worth it because it makes dealing with next day curls so much easier!
I have similar hair to yours and I've done your technique and it works, I love it. I haven't tried it with the hair dryer like that but after watching this I'm totally investing in one. You have beautiful hair!

OH MY GOSH ! I ADORE your hair I have naturally curly hair too but it wasn't as strong as it was when I was younger but it's still curly but I try to do all sorts of things to make it seem curly but it just doesn't want to behave.
I think this the the best video ever, others just put so much effort and products then wash their hair and put some more product and let it air drying which was not suitable for me since I'm in college, do not have enough time and money :/ this may look like long process to you girls but believe me it takes only 30mins and now I'm doing it every morning and it's great!!

Reggy scrunching creates more frozen that twirling that’s why she has smoother curls, scrunching is great way to achieve definition but for ‘perfect’ curls twisting is the way to go even if it takes time
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Let's not be judgy, and leave Reggy alone. :) People have different methods, and what works best for some does not work best for everyone! Plus personally, I don't have all the time in the world to twirl basically every single strand of my hair. But again, everyone is different.

Gabriella, I love your video. This helped me so much. I am going to try it because my hair looks a lot like yours when wet, except blonde. However I wanted to share that I found some help this week. Sunday I washed my hair with Biolage Moisturing Shampoo (haven't found sulfate free yet) and used Saryna Key African Shea Butter conditioner for about 20 minutes. Washed that out and put in It's A 10! Leave-in conditioner (I forgot that last week and it was NOT good!) and Garnier Fructis Curling Cream. Then I twisted it in 2 long strands and pinned it up on top of my head to see what those spirals looked like - pretty good for Day One. Then my hair went flat and stringy more than usual. So Tuesday night I put 6 "flexi-rods" about 1/2" diameter in my dry hair. I pulled one section at a time of hair up on top of my head and rolled them all on top of my head so I could sleep easier. Then when I took them out, I twirled each section into somewhat thin spirals. I was in a rush and it took about 10 minutes to twirl all the spirals. It turned out so nice that friends asked me how I styled it! I really like doing the flexi-rods on top of my head. It took me a while to figure out how to twist them to get them to stay in my hair. Now I wear a bonnet over my head to keep them in while sleeping too. So much easier to sleep in curlers if they are all on top of your head. But I do want to try your method. I am looking for lower heat methods because my hair dresser caused quite a bit of damage to my hair because she would hold the hair dryer right on top of my hair. That's why I've been wearing it natural curly more often.
I was sure you were going to use a small curling iron to get your curls so defined, but pleasantly surprised to see how low tech your method is. What a great video! I'm going to give this a try and let you know how it turns out! I hope my products work as well as yours do! Subscribing now!

Trust me my hair was soooo damaged and this was only last year !! It's amazing what a little TLC does for the hair !!! You will get your curls back in nooooo time 😘😘
Gabriella Gatehouse this was so long ago but I wanted to update you! I had to dye my hair brown due to my job and that brown dye is what killed my hair 😣 I cut off the brown and grew it out completely virgin for half a year but now I have bleached it a good 6 times these past two months 😂 but my hair is silver and the curliest it's ever been!

Before i rush out and order the deva coconut cream styler just want to know if it leaves your hair crunchy. I used to use and loved sunsilk curl booster and they went and took it off the market (not happy) so now i'm on the hunt for a good curl definer and booster.

Gabriella, I love your video. This helped me so much. I am going to try it because my hair looks a lot like yours when wet, except blonde. However I wanted to share that I found some help this week. Sunday I washed my hair with Biolage Moisturing Shampoo (haven't found sulfate free yet) and used Saryna Key African Shea Butter conditioner for about 20 minutes. Washed that out and put in It's A 10! Leave-in conditioner (I forgot that last week and it was NOT good!) and Garnier Fructis Curling Cream. Then I twisted it in 2 long strands and pinned it up on top of my head to see what those spirals looked like - pretty good for Day One. Then my hair went flat and stringy more than usual. So Tuesday night I put 6 "flexi-rods" about 1/2" diameter in my dry hair. I pulled one section at a time of hair up on top of my head and rolled them all on top of my head so I could sleep easier. Then when I took them out, I twirled each section into somewhat thin spirals. I was in a rush and it took about 10 minutes to twirl all the spirals. It turned out so nice that friends asked me how I styled it! I really like doing the flexi-rods on top of my head. It took me a while to figure out how to twist them to get them to stay in my hair. Now I wear a bonnet over my head to keep them in while sleeping too. So much easier to sleep in curlers if they are all on top of your head. But I do want to try your method. I am looking for lower heat methods because my hair dresser caused quite a bit of damage to my hair because she would hold the hair dryer right on top of my hair. That's why I've been wearing it natural curly more often.

At first I was scared to watch to be disappointed to see that these curls were made with a curling iron. But WOW your curls are beautiful & amazing how you only use two products. My hair pattern was the same as yours before dying it like crazy. Hoping to have my curls back. You look stunning!1
Thank youu gorgeous !! I bleached my hair 5 or more times last year and not to count how many times I dyed it, all in a period of literally 5 months !! Trust me my hair was soooo damaged and this was only last year !! It's amazing what a little TLC does for the hair !!! You will get your curls back in nooooo time 😘😘
Gabriella Gatehouse this was so long ago but I wanted to update you! I had to dye my hair brown due to my job and that brown dye is what killed my hair 😣 I cut off the brown and grew it out completely virgin for half a year but now I have bleached it a good 6 times these past two months 😂 but my hair is silver and the curliest it's ever been!

Before i rush out and order the deva coconut cream styler just want to know if it leaves your hair crunchy. I used to use and loved sunsilk curl booster and they went and took it off the market (not happy) so now i'm on the hunt for a good curl definer and booster.
Do you follow the curly girl method/products? Have you tired products you can get at the drugstore? Is the key really all that twisting? Your hair looks amazing, and even though I don't want to spend the time twisting, if it looks like yours I'm gonna have to try. How is your second day hair? How many days before you wash again?

Do you reapply the product each day like in the video, or can you reactivate with just water? I get build up on my fine hair so I'm trying to find a good routine for my non-wash days. Thanks!
