I quit vaping a month ago and honestly the best way to do it is when you are busy- that way your mind isn’t on constantly reaching for it as opposed to when you are focused on actually quitting, it’s all you are thinking about!
I’ll add that in my quiet moments I find myself wanting to go an buy another, but I then think about the healthy benefits of being off it and how strong I am to quit in the first place.

Oh phew, that intro and outro got me so emotinal, nobody actually asked me how last year went and made me really think about how much of a bad year it was, lost friends, a family member, lost pets, lost a partner but somehow that only motivated me to make this year better, and your outro really reminded me that when you're at your lowest you can still go up again, thank you for this vlog Sophia, hope to keep seeing you grow! My dad passed last year and if there’s one thing I tell everyone it’s that our loved ones can still live through us by us implementing the beautiful parts of them into our day to day lives. I don’t know how to describe it but your videos always encourage me to get back into my creative space and just create. You have this sense of storytelling and capturing the beauty of life that makes people inspired and motivated. (Even if you’re talking about sad moments of discouragement it’s still beautiful and part of the process) I never thought I’d be able to watch someone’s vlog about their life (who I don’t even know in person) and cry out of awe and aspiration at the things you’re also going through. You encourage all of us to lean into our strength and to keep going x
I’m also challenging myself this year to face some of my fears - my first one is water/swimming and I’m literally starting by submerging my face into water for 10 secs every time I shower. It’s so hard for someone who hates that feeling but after 2 weeks I can say that I don’t hate it as much.
A phrase I’m holding onto this year to challenge me is that “being uncomfortable is just a result of not enough exposure” so I am learning to just expose myself to more things that give me anxiety🥲 it’s a hard but necessary work!

Sophia, thank you for this. First of all, my deepest condolences on losing your grandmother. I know that isn’t easy but remember grieving isn’t a linear path. Take your time 💗 I lost my abuelita 9 years ago this month and I blocked out so much bc I didn’t want to feel. Secondly, as someone that turned 30 last September, I appreciate you sharing your journey. My year? Felt hopeless but finally December 22 I got a job offer for a dream job and I’ll be working in NYC and moving from FL. Life changes fast but I’m glad we are learning we are capable of all and you’re willing to share with us. This year is ours! 🎉

edit: i dont take cold showers often but i find that taking a warm shower then gradually make it colder and colder helps. you can do that until you start to get used to it

Sophia, your stories through videos are just amazing.I can just say 2022 was the year of growth and learning. this video made me cry in the best way possible because this was how was feeling for 7 months out of year, I lost myself in a way and felt like I was never gonna get it back. I am 24 year olds of course everything in the world is ending in your 20's but I felt like I really wasn't gonna make it. I made a promise to myself in 2023 was gonna be the year of being intentional and learning to fall in love with life again. Sophie, I resonated with your self-reflection soo much! Especially when reflecting on the toll your mind plays on you. Self-doubt, worthiness, etc. As I'm approaching 30, I've realized I can't go on like this. I need therapy. I need to heal my traumas & wounds. Not just use that as an excuse to live with them, because at the end, my justification on them, just does me no good.
