I definitely prefer the design of the Wei Yuan to any of the larger hero units tbh. It's got enough going on with the design without looking over done to me. No crazy number of colors with a million effect parts. It looks the part of a grunt, but with a nice aesthetic to it.
You could probably do something in terms of terrain with the variety of leftover parts- there's quite a bit. I almost want an option pack like the striker units they had in Seed or all the recent build type shows.
Just wondering if you had any issues with the arm joints popping off when you were posing the figures. BTW great video would love to see a size comparison of a MG from bandai.
It's weird to me that you repeatedly say that undergating requires extra work....but it actually means you don't have to worry about the appearance of the nub mark? I understand you still have to remove the nub so the piece fits but obviously you would do that anyways if it were outward facing.
Glad I could help bring something new to the forefront for you! These days I wouldn't say they're too obscure in the grand scheme of things- obscure if the Super Robot Wars original character that a Chinese unknown manufacturer made a model of prior to any official ones being released. One of these days I'll have the heart to build it and see if it's any good... so stick around for that one!
Can I just say I love your relaxed style of reviewing, really easy to watch
Enjoyed listening to the video man, always nice seeing your uploads.

There's always a nice aesthetic to the clean lines of grunt units.
Very nice figure! And At the risk of sacrilege and heresy....I wouldn't mind a box like that for kitbashing and some very cool terrain bits!

How was the sword? I've seen some reviews say it's paint and you end up with some bad nub marks.
Wow. That is so obscure. Color me titillated. :)

Man I got 5 of these, 2 of them still not build.
These Wei Yuan are so cheap hehe
They are quite nicely priced for the quality you get!
