    I wish I had such a talented, curious and encouraging teacher back in my school days to teach science.

    She was my science teacher my senior year, her class is the only science class that I’ve taken that I actually enjoyed.

    This is an incredible idea. As I kid I would have loved staying on the cutting edge. Instead I read encyclopedias to sleep - World Book, of course, instead of Brittanica, because it was much more kid friendly.

    I don't know what is the real school problem with language, but when I was in high school, I have no problem whatsoever understanding any reading. We even read books which barely resemble the language ( ancient novels). Ethimology, figurative language, archaisms, and colloquiums, jargon, slangs were part of the language learning.

    Sadly Ted X don't allow you to question, or discuss what is being said, one of the fundamental parts of Science. Search Tony Heller about climate change and how scientists can be bought.

  • @WeddingDJBusiness
    @WeddingDJBusiness 5 лет назад +1

    If I can say this in one sentence, this was not encouraging scientific thinking but scientific conformity by deciphering what others have done. Scientists can be bought and they do work for big corporations. Question what you read.

    If you contact the author of the paper and explain the situation I am sure they would have no issue with emailing you a copy of the paper, in fact I think they would be more than happy.

    Can you also talk about how bad is screen for the humans. How stressful it is to stare at screen for hours. And how it’s destroying the psychological development.

      Really what is the idea with "making edge"..... going slow or making cool 😎
      Obviously is scientific jargon 😉

    • @lilycoeur7714
      @lilycoeur7714 5 лет назад +1

      @@biljanapapazovammann2972 oh okay thank you ❤ english isn't my mother tougue that's why 😳

    • @biljanapapazovammann2972
      @biljanapapazovammann2972 5 лет назад

      Prélude Roi
      English isn't even my mother language ....but never mind...the title could be more ...childish and accessible.
      I don't think that this is what the kids need to learn from the science....but what makes sense in the "culture of science" where the dialog between public and science has to start.

    • @CristalcatXP
      @CristalcatXP 5 лет назад

      Actually, in the title, "cutting edge science" just refers the latest scientific advances. The video, however, does indeed talk about making the reports of these advances more palatable for young people (because many are unable to understand tons of scientific jargon). 😊
