I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you work using very straightforward techniques in clever ways. Other woodworking channels discuss how to support the woodworking industry. You discuss woodworking.
Thanks a ton for this video! I've watched a few of your others as well, and watching your technique is a million times more useful than most advice I've ever been given.
Enjoyed the video. Functional without going overboard. As someone who is borderline OCD I admire your ability to line things up by eye and drill holes without worrying if they are half a degree out Most of all I love your total lack of respect for the health and safety nanny state. And you still have all your fingers!
I happened onto Matthias Wandel's videos last night while searching for some tool holder ideas on You Tube. What an incredible resource! He's a very talented, creative woodworking genius. Thank you so much for sharing your woodworking endeavors.
Thank you so much for this video, Matthias! This is a very timely video for me, since I have been debating on whether to use some pegboard that I already have for my tools or homemade hangers and hooks. You just inspired me to not use pegboard. Now I just have to find a good use for all the pegboard that I have. Maybe a downdraft table.
I've made videos before and I know how difficult and time-consuming they can be. I have learned a great deal about woodworking from you over the years and I really appreciate your videos. Thanks, Mathias.
I did what u did about 20 months ago and it made a huge difference. I can see and grab tools easily. Before using pegboard I had to move tools to get to the tool. Another way is French cleet so u can move individual holders if need arises. Good skills I like your simple ways of making holders look up scale. I really like my pliers holder where bbn I have them from small to large instead of a drawer and had to shuffle stuff to find what I wanted. Have a friend retiring and building a shop and hope he sees these tool holders. With a new blank shop a guy could really lay stuff out to make life easier
I like that you are not overly "fussy" about things that really don't matter. Much of what you do here could be easily adapted to a pegboard system (for those who already have it installed) by using plastic drywall inserts in the holes and then screwing the 'holders' shown here to the pegboard,
+RustyCas Or I could just screw it on between the holes. In which case, a pegboard with no holes would actually be better, and if it were plywood with no holes, that would be even better. Which, coincidentally, is what I actually used.
the amount of free space in the drawers must be huge in the center area of the panel on the wall maybe a hand drill shelf you know a shelf for the bigger items
I don't know why the high speed parts are so satisfying to watch, but they are. :) Thank you for the ideas, I'll be doing some variation of this very soon.
I really liked how you made your tool holder I recently made my tool holder collection will be uploading in a few days so excited great to see different variations
Man! You make me feel lazy! Forget the woodworking, I mean all the time it takes to make videos! Kudos on all your efforts, Matt. (sorry for the informality, I just feel like I know you, seeing how I watch your stuff so often!)
Putting the drill press to work! I really like the square holder. Immsick of the one i have/use.. just like a clamp rack..(typical) Im definitely going to make a few of those tonight when im in my shop. Hey thanks for the idea (s)
Great video. For the past 40 years my tools have been in a VERY large tool box, it needed a fork lift to move it in and out of the panel van, fortunately it wasn't taken out all that often. Now I am retired and I just could not decide on a design and I didn't want to use a French cleat system. I'm going to adopt your idea. Simple, cheap (sort of) and a darn sight more pleasant on the eye. Thank Matthias
Muito obrigado pelo vídeo! Estou montando um quadro de ferramentas e tuas ideias foram de grande ajuda! Também me inscrevi no canal! Muito sucesso em teus projetos!
Some great ideas, Matthias. I already made one for my screwdrivers (looks different, but does the same job), and I was trying to figure out how to mount some of the others. So thanks for this video :)
Matthias Wandel: WOW! I learned something new from you on this one: How to make a drill guide that will allow me to mimic the Kregg cabinet screw hole jig. Thank you! You're awesome.
These were great. I needed something I could handle making w/o a lot if big machinery & even tho u have more machines than I do. I think I can make these work. I do need to figure out how to make a drill holder (&bits) but I think i can do it. Thank you
I like your videos because they are objective and don't 'make things up'! I see channels on RUclips that are a real display of expensive machines that use them to make simple jigs and waste an absurd amount of wood on their crazy projects that can be done with a simple saw and chisel!
Very nice work Matthias! One suggestion - draw the outline of tools like the speed-square on the plywood, so it is easy to put back, especially when you have a lot of tools with different shapes and sizes.

Mathias is a master, so much efficiency of storage space, materials, and crazy quality in everything you do. Keep up the great work!

what in woodworking is so therapeutic that feels so soothing, even if we are just watching it ?!
that's really cool, Matthias! =)

Nice job Matthias, always a pleasure to see your take on things
I've made videos before and I know how difficult and time-consuming they can be. I have learned a great deal about woodworking from you over the years and I really appreciate your videos. Thanks, Mathias.
I am not a carpenter and never tried it before but this guy makes it fun and easy, he must love what he is doing.
So many cool ideas, which I will steal when I decided to do the same thing. Can't wait for part 2.
Очень полезной видео! Своими руками сделанное- гораздо лучше, чем заводские перфопанели.
Very inspiring. Thank you for this, Matthias.
Thanks Matthias! You have giving some great ideas to finally get rid of my crappy peg board.

So simple, it's brilliant. Thanks so much for all your amazing content!
You make woodworking fun! Thank you Mathias.
I don't work with wood or anything I just realy enjoy watching your videos Matthias. You are very creative. Good job again.

My favourite RUclips channel. Always great work sir .
Very nice set of tool organisers, thanks for sharing your ideas. I plan to use a few of your designs for my project, using French cleats.
You're my hero, you make it simple but functional , thanks
This is one of my favorite wall tool holder set ups! awesome man
Great job Matthias! Really inspires me to get out in my shop and do some spring cleaning :)
Perfect timing! I'm about to start building my own tool holders next week.
The big shop is coming along nicely. Clever speed square shelf.
Excellent! I made mine out of steel a while back before I got into woodworking.
Great ideas, when I get finished with my wall, I think I'll steal some of these ideas. It looks much better than peg board.
Meu amigo, até agora o melhor vídeo de painel de ferramentas que já assisti, amazing, thanks from Brasil.
Fantastic, similar to what I was looking to do. Glad to see my thought come to life beforehand so I can better apply it myself.
I saw different videos for making wooden Screw Driver Rack, Pillar stands etc, but this video is Superb. Great.
always a pleasure to watch your videos. some great tips and ideas, thank you!
Hi Andreas, your projecst are pretty amazing - it's a pleasure to watching your videos.
You are so full of good ideas, keep us informed ;-).
Parabéns pelo trabalho, vc é um mestre nessa arte. Good job, congratulations my friend. Awesome.

the amount of free space in the drawers must be huge in the center area of the panel on the wall maybe a hand drill shelf you know a shelf for the bigger items

Thank you for explaining and demonstrating. And I like your your simple and common sense designs.
I don't know why the high speed parts are so satisfying to watch, but they are. :)
Thank you for the ideas, I'll be doing some variation of this very soon.
Great video. I am going out to make my own! Thanks for sharing and inspiring
رائع جدا،اعجبني كثيرا الشرح المفيد والمختصر وخاصة تسريع الفيديو في اماكن قد تسبب الملل.
شكرا جزيلا لك
That walking drill press of yours makes me anxious, and things don't usually make me anxious. lol
looking for ideas for my shed and found your video. Great work mate!
I just watched you build the exact same setup I did for my wall. Only two and a half years after. I guess great minds think alike.
I like your designs .. simple but tailored to fit nice !
You make it look so easy, thank you!
I really liked how you made your tool holder I recently made my tool holder collection will be uploading in a few days so excited great to see different variations

You sir, are a craftsman. Very creative too.

great video, thank you! I'm upgrading my tool storage and so I was looking for diy alternatives to peg boards, which i don't find very pretty.
I love how precise matthias is, then he goes "should be....THIS far away" and just eyeballs some pretty cool looking mounts.
Julius Jahn he measured them before it just didn't show because did you see how level they were
great video--- glad to see your not a pegboard user,I like to make my own tool holders and racks I use plywood on my walls too
Great man Matthias Wandel , you are . Thanks sharing with us on youtube and have again great success !
Great, I am really enjoying and learning this art!!!!!
You're an amazing wood worker! :-)
Great, ideas for my new shop, Thanks.
Regrads and best wishes from Chile.
You make the best videos, i'm not even a wood worker.
A perfect way to organize my angle grinders that I use with my everlast welder.
The speed in which you accurately guesstimate the distances and spacing needed is extremely impressive and just a little disheartening.
Matthias Wandel: WOW! I learned something new from you on this one: How to make a drill guide that will allow me to mimic the Kregg cabinet screw hole jig. Thank you! You're awesome.
Wow love it. Low cost and and some what fast. I am going to do this in my shop. Thanks..
Hey amigo, qué buen trabajo, te felicito, saludos desde Venezuela y colombia !!!
I'm definitely going to use your plans for my speed square and chisels .. genious
Nice arrangement, brilliant ideas.
These were great. I needed something I could handle making w/o a lot if big machinery & even tho u have more machines than I do. I think I can make these work. I do need to figure out how to make a drill holder (&bits) but I think i can do it. Thank you
Your drawers look like mine! I need to hang them up aswell. great video

Thanks for sharing your proyects!!
Brilliant, great solutions to the cluttered bench top, TY
If I only knew half of what this guy has forgotten I would be a better Finish Carpenter than what I am now.
Thanks Matthias.
Damn, this guy moves fast. I love it!
I am doing the same thing in my shop, thanks for the ideas.

Красавчик! Очень аккуратно и красиво! Уважуха!!! 👍👍👍
Congratulation! You are very smart and have abilities.
Good stuff. Succinct and to the point without over-talking it. Videography is very good.
