Thank you so much for uploading this. I’m brand new to DMing and this will be the first game I’ll run. I’ve been preparing by myself but having this and the video you posted about preparing for the heist has helped calm my nerves tremendously.

I am planning on DMing the entire Keys of the Golden Vault campaign as my first one in like 20 years and have spent a significant amount of time building it out and putting my own spin on it the last few weeks as well as fixing a few inconsistencies I have found. One of the main ones for example is that Dannell says you need to retrieve the Stone before Midnight that night or else it will hatch, but then says the Gala is the next night and you can go and scout the Museum prior to going back that evening to steal the Stone if you'd like. As you can see it doesn't quite line up. I was hoping to find someone who ran this already to do a watch through and get a bit more confidence on how to go about playing it so major kudos to you for this!
@@d20play I believe it is supposed to, but when I was reading through everything it read that the Gala was the following night from 6:00 to 8:00, but you had to acquire the stone by Midnight the night prior when you meet with Dannell which contradicted things.
ok... can I get this version of the map in Roll20 or is this only in FoundryVTT? How is the Roll20 map so poop compared to this map? I'm pissed because I just paid for it and now I want this map!
I’d say an investigation check to search for signs that someone is undercover. Followed by insight when attempting to tail them or watch them closely for what they’re interested in. Insight often gets tossed around but insight isn’t a yes no lie detector. It should lead the players to something. Example they notice the characters eyes drift to the nearby exits. A bad roll doesn’t equal “you’re not able to tell”. Hope that helps.

Figuring out if any of the gala guests are uncover should have been an insight check instead of persuasion. Otherwise this was great.
