Jyothika has tried her best to enact the psychic disorder. But having watched shobhana in the original, it is to be said that Jo went a little over the top here. Shobhana's actions in the movie never makes the viewer suspect her for all the mishaps, until the suspense gets revealed in the climax. She has played the character so subtly that the psychic disorder she possess remains under her true self. But Jo here, has played it in such a way that her mental state is revealed even before the movie reached its climax. But this doesn't take any credit away from Jo's tremendous effort. I've heard that this character was actually meant for Simran, who couldn't join the film and then it was given to Jo just two days before the shoot began. She almost pulled off the character on her own in this short time

Chadramuki is the mix of Malayalam movies of Arram thamburan and manichithrathazu together. The scenes of nayam thara and rajanikanth is from arram thamburan Malayalam movie played by mohanlal and manju warrier. Although arram thamburan is entirely a different movie but all scenes between Rajani and nyan thara are from this movie.

I would like to share, if your malayalam version was superb why it has been not famous that year 1993. After Chandramukhi relesed in year 2005 only you all recommnad your movie. So bad. Overall direction, co-actors and mainly Rajini sir. Until now people not bored at all to watch tamil version again and again. Even in interview, this film director P.Vasu already mentioned that Chandramukhi is remake of Malayalam version. But even he admit himself in open interview this movie hit down all other versions.

Manichitratazhu was actually plain rice, it's second unit director was P.Vasu, he took the plain rice, added some story as masala & vegetables to make a Biriyani out of it & then presented it as Chandramukhi.... 😆😆😆

Tamil audience likes much mass and masala movie but kerla audience only likes realistic and logical movies .And the story of manichithrathazu is real , characters of nagavali , sankaran thampi and ramanathan are real charcters whol lived in alapuza district of kerala. Chadramuki is the mix of Malayalam movies of Arram thamburan and manichithrathazu together. The scenes of nayam thara and rajanikanth is from arram thamburan Malayalam movie played by mohanlal and manju warrier. Although arram thamburan is entirely a different movie but all scenes between Rajani and nyan thara are from this movie.
