Nobody can play the harmonica like Toots did. no one!

Nobody played harmonica like this guy and I don't think somebody will ever play like him.

Now that's how a chromatic harmonica is played! No doubt Toots was a Maestro! Toots played with soul, swing, & even a sense of humor. Most of all he played from the heart. RIP Toots!

Over the years when my wife and I have gone to see singers and musicians if someone we see is "great" we say, "That's professional show business!" This performance is "Professional show business." They are having a lot of fun and letting us in on it. Toots is a great musician and a gentleman. Peggy was a great singer, songwriter (check her out on Wikipedia), broke in with Benny Goodman's band and... a very earthy and gorgeous woman. Great video - thanks for posting!

Sorry Joe but I’m with Steve on this one. They are being Professional and they are encompassing their watchers and listeners. Before I read your post Steve and after thinking what a great performance, my next thought was how they brought their audience along with them. Oftentimes, though I detect it more in ensemble comedy, the participants are more interested in each other than the audience. This is meant for us as well as them.

Het lyrische impromptu & de sierlijke spitsvondigheid waarmee Toots op twee stukjes ijzer & een houtje zichzelf rondom de aardbol blies overstijgt het ongelooflijke . . . Peggy Lee . . .' First Lady of Style' . . . Alle twee samen was een cadeautje van de Schepper aan Zichzelf . . .

  • @JoeLeeBush

What a darn shame that two absolute wonderful performers have "just got" to camp it up and think they're being funny when all it does is detract from their talents and skills. You, Lee and Thielmans, are NOT comedians...you are FANTASTIC performers...do what you do best.==>PERFORM!!!! Shutup with the silliness and lay it down straight. Leave the comedy to Eddie Murphy and Rodney Dangerfield. What a waste of what might have been a precious moment.

Joe Lee Bush What an unhappy soul you are. By the way, what have done, musically speaking, that people will, speak well of you now or, one day, speak well of you, when you are dead and gone?
