At the Sounkyo Onsen Special Venue in Hokkaido, one of the three major winter festivals in Hokkaido, known as the "Sounkyo Onsen Ice Waterfall Festival," is held annually from late January to mid-March. During this festival, various ice sculptures, including ice statues created by spraying the water of the Ishikari River onto log frameworks in sub-zero temperatures, as well as ice tunnels, ice domes, and ice sculptures of different sizes, line the venue. These ice creations are illuminated with seven-colored lights, creating a mysterious and fantastical atmosphere in the world of ice.

北海道の層雲峡温泉特設会場では、毎年冬の1月下旬から3月中旬にかけて開催される北海道冬の三大まつりのひとつが「層雲峡温泉氷瀑まつり」です。このまつりでは、石狩川の水を氷点下の中で丸太の骨組みに吹きかけて作られる氷像や氷のトンネル、アイスドーム、氷のオブジェなど、大小さまざまな氷の造形物が立ち並びます。これらの氷の作品は、七色の光でライトアップされ、神秘的で氷の世界の幻想的な雰囲気を醸し出します。
