Whenever me and my cousins get together, we play those songs and cherish her memory. She used to dance like a little kid whenever we played those. I miss her so much.

They had a disagreement and didn’t sing together for about 4 years during the 1960s. They finally made up and resumed singing together in 1967. During that period they duetted with other singers such as Kishore & Asha Bhosle, but those recordings as wonderful as they were, were never what they could’ve been if Lata & Rafi sang them. P.s Perhaps a compilation of ‘Haunting’ melodies might be fun, not sure if anyone has put one together 🤔

The ban was lifted only one and a half year after the emergency was over..and Congress lost power..not due to Rafi's intervention..

At the time of Independence, I think people saw movies as a form of education, motivation, and even rebellion, rather than entertainment. I think the romance era of Bollywood properly started later.
The eldest brother in Kapoor family was Raj Kapoor, then Shammi Kapoor and the youngest was Shashi Kapoor. For me when I think of Raj Kapoor , I always remember the singer Mukesh who was Raj Kapoor's singing voice or singer. When I remember Shammi Kapoor, I remember Mohd. Rafi Shammi's voice or singer. And finally, when I remember Shashi Kapoor, I remember Kishore Kumar as his singing voice or singer.
