- We're having a lot of fun with our Godzilla swapped Fox Body Mustang we've dubbed Green Goblin. In typical LMR fashion, we like to provide everyone with content, so here is the dyno day for the Green Goblin.
We do multiple dyno pulls with small changes to see how they affect the numbers.

Great video. Only thing he's incorrect about is "back pressure". It's not the back pressure that negativity affects scavenging. Its the lack of flow tube area, rear of the header collector. The exhaust loses velocity here when dumped directly to atmosphere. In turn, exhaust pulses are unable to draw following pulses through the system as efficiently.
Green goblin needs a hawt box!
Godzilla swaps !!!
That thing would be so much fun on the street
Great data!
Awesome engine and gauges.
Great stuff! Hopefully you can get the new Ford Performance intake manifold that ditches the upward throttle angle. It appeared that the engine kept being stopped before 6,000 RPM, which I'm sure it can safely rev passed, once it can be tuned more.
As soon as that intake is available, we will have a dyno video. -Landan
Great video Ford power forever baby keep on doing what you do
Very nice! 🇺🇸
It’d be cool to see the 7.3 up against a coyote fox.
Two bolt pump fuel 6r80 coyote and 7.3 swapped foxes going at it on a track
Yeah, that would be cool! -Landan
My understanding, 18" collector extensions might have helped. Was this speed limited to 160MPH?
The exhaust is dumped too close to the o2 sensors. It needs some small extensions on the headers for that trick to work, otherwise you end up with skewed results like you did here.
Do an X pipe vs. an H pipe exhaust.
No h pipe sounds deeper and more muscular. I've had both on more than one mustang and the h just sounds better imo.
@@midnight347 no it doesn't thats just to you.... x-pipe by far sounds league's better and makes more hp while h pipes make more low end tq
@@ranware2779 it's not just him, it's actually only you, H pipe sounds better
@@smllboy25 maybe to a gkay guy.... definitely not here or none of my mustang buddies from foxbodies to s550's #XPipeGang all day everyday
Let's see a big cam in that thing.
Want to see a quarter mile pass with slicks
I would’ve thought an engine like that would’ve made a lot more horsepower! 500 at least
it's clearly advertised as 430hp 475lbs. on FRPP's website
That engines built for torque
It's a stock truck motor man they didn't even Rev it passed 6k rpm. With a decent intake manifold and a cam it would easily pass 500 rwhp and torque without even trying.
you have to be factually correct, the Godzilla 7.3 is not a big block, its is a small block according to Ford, and former engine engineer and pro5.0 legend Brian Wolfe says its a small block too👍
It's technically a medium block like the 6.2 sohc boss was. But yea they call it a small block but it has big block cubes
Beastly I'd like to see what it does with high end aggressive cam.
A cam and that Ford performance low profile intake manifold would add a bunch of power.
What is that front tire? I'm not paying $330 for MT front runner tires anymore....
For a street car I recommend 17x7 front runners you can run 225/50/17 or some similar normal street tire and they last longer and are much cheaper. It also handles and brakes better than a skinny front runner but they're still pretty light weight
@Lil' Ike its got 15" front runner wheels on it, just a weekend car...its hard to make out but that looks like a Nexen? He goes over the rear tide LOL...
Here is the kit that is on the car: lmr.com/item/WTK-10073652/Mustang-SVE-Gloss-Black-Drag-Wheel-Tire-Kit-15X10-15X375-94-
We include 165/80R15 Nexen SB802 front runners. -Landan
@Late Model Restoration (LMR) thank you Landon...MT has just lost their minds on their front runners...Nitto needs to step in like they did with the NT555RII ....
Wait 7.3l motor and coyote numbers ? 😐
Coyote engines wished they made this kind of torque. -Landan
Rev it up to 8K and see what happens.🤣 It’s a downgrade from the Coyote any way you slice it.
All that for 418? Shit, I'll stick with my 331 at 380..
Had to put high flow cats on my street 5.0, sounds a little tamer but feels just fine.
Can't wait to see that big truck motor finally get some rpm's! Not sure yall got past 5900 😂
SO SO glad that FORD finally offered a BIG cube pushrod engine!!
Bye bye LS swap!
(Unless you are still a Po' ass and have to use a junkyard Chevy motor.)
I've seen guys land these for 4k used with low miles. That isn't bad at all it's a much better starting place than any of the cheap ls motors people do. Over 400 hp and 475+ torque to the tires in stock form is no slouch and there is potential for ALOT more pretty easily. Best of all it keeps a Ford a Ford and it still sounds like a Ford. Sounds like a 351 on steroids so it's perfect for fox bodies
Godzillas not a big block though
ditch those chambered mufflers!
Agreed, needs pypes violators
Love to hear it through Paradox Performance Mufflers. Plus they improve flow & increase scavenging.
Something is telling me that intake manifold is holding it bac
