Great video! On bosses, do you use Chiming Staff to cast Sigil of Power? And I see that you also have a comet and a curse on a separate layout. Do you use them too?
Yes for the sigil. You could set up the staff so its used for time freeze too and save some weapon swap points for skill duration nodes but then you would have a little longer cast time to get off the freeze. Comet is on cast on minion death and the curse is an aura. I keep them on the bar though so I can verify they are active easily or to check mana costs for the comet. You shouldn't have to press those buttons.

I don't understand where I'm going wrong to be honest... It's weirding me out that the DPS numbers are so low.... I can see you have more cold damage than me, but other than that I'm pretty dam close and struggling to blast even normal white mobs... Any advice?? Also, forgot to ask how you have raging spirits, cast on minion death, and blasphemy all going with only 228 spirit? I have 262 and I can't figure out how you fit it all? I've got quality on everything but my math isn't mathing.... Thanks again for the help!!
I cant say for sure without seeing your setup, one of the things that helps to keep in mind if trash is not dying fast enough is a lot of notables kick in only after something happens like the target is shocked or you've crit recently. Try and be realistic about whether or not you're actually casting spells that apply things to trigger those effects if you have a lot of them. Other than that it takes a lot to get the damage off the ground, especially on bosses. Weapon and Focus are the most important, these are the only real sources of % crit you can get so really need to get it on them. Other than that, Cast speed everywhere (especially rings), +all skills as long as mana supports, damage jewels with aura effect. Save defensive affixes for armour pieces. Typically when I'm mapping white mobs will die in 1 hit of flameblast, possibly 2 if there's a large defensive mod on the map. Finally, make sure you aren't running out of mana. If you find yourself out a bunch don't be shy about picking up more mana nodes. Edit: Also this build really is focused more on endgame gear, until you get a critical mass of cast speed/mana/levels is going to feel weak. I really dont recommend leveling with flameblast. @@Ozzudno thanks for the detailed information! After I wrote my reply, I watched your video again and noticed exactly what you were saying about making sure all the elemental stuff was hitting. I was just walking around flame blasting and hitting for nothing haha I think with all my crit modifiers, I'm sitting at about 25% for my skills, so maybe I'll need to look at buffing that up too. In terms of spirit, I'll have to look back at my skills when I get home as something isn't lining up! Blasphemy 108, grim feast 60, raging spirit 30, cast on minion death is 30... @@DaveyBoy911 Make sure you aren't using heightened curse on the auras, its a large reservation cost addition (You CAN use it if you go the sceptre route I believe). No problem, for reference too my crit on flameblast is a little under 30%, so you're close to me. With crit weakness from eye of winter though that number goes way up. Base flameblast crit is 8% but you get +10% from the debuff which makes that 30% into 65-70% or so, it just wont show up on the sheet. Comet and Frostwall have an even higher base crit as well, (Don't forget to quality the comet, it gets +2% base crit!) Finally, I never actually tried it but you should in theory be able to use a scepter to replace all the spirit gear. That would eliminate the need completely for spirit on the armor but would cut out a potential huge crit mod on your offhand, as well as some other damage mods. If you go this route I would definitely make sure to get a rattling sceptre and use soul offering on the pets it creates. This damage mod alone is probably enough to offset the lost dps from the offhand, however it requires maintenance that I didn't want to deal with (constantly recasting it). The sceptre should focus on +spirit, +flat mana, +mana regen and (if you can swing it) stats and/or reduced attribute requirements (they need a lot of str you dont want to waste points on, and they dont have any other useful mods. Bonus points for % increased presence AoE to make apex of the moment bigger.
At 5:09 what is the icon for -24%? Whenever I use Chronomancer Apex of the Moment ascendency node for 20% slow within presence, I never see the debuff. Please and thank you.
1) That's the debuff for hinder, its applied from the zone of control notable and magnified by my increased slow effect. 2) Apex of the moment doesn't have a debuff icon but it does work. I'm doing a somewhat similar build but w incinerate 😑 (flamebladst too ofc) as a pyro pact infernalist w scepter for tons of spirit so i can flame robe. Currently adding raging spirits back in w an uncut gem to swap one coi to comd and am curious if you keep spirits at low level. I saw some ppl do that for the amulet tech but I don't really see the point w them taking %dmg. They still die fast enough right? Also, i swear that there is some interaction where my spirits die on their own without exploding and adding energy. Maybe something to do w skill effect duration as I noticed a change while leveling

Yeah I'd drop a lot of crit for more ES, You're going to have less curse effect due to not having a bunch of 10% aura jewels too. If you can find a doedre's damning ring maybe run triple aura w/ enfeeble. Threats will be sudden and deadly, primarily stuns or freezes and AoE type effects from rares that wont be slowed by the curse auras, so be prepared to rewind at a moments notice. I dont think its the best HC or SSF build so good luck, you'll probably need it.

@@elsaplayinggames3271 1) ritualistic curse has no downside when socketed in blasphemy. While this works now, GGG typically doesn't like it when you can broadly ignore downsides like this so it may be changed in the future. You definitely need to keep leveling icewall. If you find you can't kill the walls with one the flameblast though you should probably use icicle support or get higher damage to stay ahead of icewall health. Prisim of belief for flameblast is also a good choice.

@elsaplayinggames3271 no you're right, I had it because I thought ignite from raging spirits counted but I don't think it does because the spirits aren't "you". You can keep it but only if you have a source of "gain x% of damage as fire damage" otherwise you shouldn't use it.
Loving this build. Running something similar, but capping out at ~55% on temp chains. I have all the major slow/curse passives. Does the rest really come from jewels? I have 3 or 4 right now with increased effect of auras/curses. Thanks!
Do you have the Bolstering Presence notable + the 3 small ones? 55% does seem low and you're right around the range of what your temp chains would be without those nodes.
How come you choose to run Encumbrance instead of Heightened Curse? I assume the latter would still cap the slow while also buffing Conductivity, but I could be wrong. Im gonna be making a build like this soon but I also want a way to swap in a sceptre for co-op and maybe run a second Blasphemy with Enfeeble.
Heightened curse increases the reservation cost by 40%, and I don't have any spirit to spare. Also, encumbrance is not penalized by the blasphemy less curse effect so it actually provides a tiny bit more slow than heightened curse does (though it doesn't buff hypothermia). If you use a scepter offhand instead of a focus you could run heightened curse instead of magnified effect or something, its kinda a judgement call though. Side note: You're the 2nd person to mention Conductivity to me, is that mentioned somewhere in the guide and I missed it? You should be using Hypothermia as this build is cold, not lightning damage (unless you are in party play with other archmage builds or something).
Yo, tx for the guide, I got 3500 mana and i struggle with mana on bosses. I use Frozen Wall to trigger Cast on Freeze with Comet, and I freeze enemies a lot. However, ever since I got the "Mana% on kill" modifier on my jewel, I don’t have any issues while mapping. But against bosses with modifiers or pinnacle bosses, I just run out of mana and can’t play. I don’t have much mana regeneration, but I also don’t have high casting speed. It’s kind of weird because when I self-cast Comet, my mana doesn’t even move, but when it triggers, it drains really fast. Any tips for me ?
@@denissavard6702 are you using mind over matter to get all that mana? The only thing you can really do is invest in Regen. You can try to use temporal rift to rewind your mana also whenever comet triggers but I find that can be difficult.

How much crit chance do you have in your own personal version of the build? I'm running this as well and it's fun but getting to 96 has always been a struggle for me so I gave up 3 crit related notes. I'm sitting at 17% crit chance right now without Crit Weakness.
I have roughly 28-29% on flameblast going up to 65-70% with full crit weakness. I also recently snagged a prism of belief with +3 flameblast which was a nice boost to clear DPS. if you want to see my exact gear you can import the POB link I pinned in the comments into path of building.
Just sigil, but you could use it with weapon swap to cast time freeze. It would have a longer cast time due to the swap but you could save some points by putting skill duration nodes only on the swap to the staff.
@Ozzudno i did that last night xD also with solar orb , later i took out the orb , enough buttons in this build and i can get a few regen nodes and drop some damage I need to get a better weapon with mana regen , but im quite poor now , used like 300 div in this build and i want a good wand

you are ussing the staff to cast something ? or just the sigil?
