    Those are beautifully inscribed love letters with intense feelings of separations. Yet, Scotty Moore expressed his love. It so seems, that though they were not meant to be married, the girl still holds in a part of her heart a treasure of yesterday. Sometimes, when love is not meant to become one, there are remnants of it to be cherished in a platonic love. They both loved each other in an absence of carnal expressions of love. They were both special and loving. A seemingly ''Romeo and Juliet'' love story...the great intensity of emotion.

    Wow buddy, you keep not only hitting the mark but exceeding it. These little “odd ball” (said respectfully) stories that no one else would have thought of are so bloody interesting! However, I was thinking. Unless I missed it somewhere, you have never told us how YOU met Scotty, we all know you were in business together but what did you do, how familiar were you with his family, do you still keep in touch with them? Let’s hear your story and how you came to know a legend😉

    I've been going back and forth between part 1 & 2. It's interesting that Scotty didn't want to talk about Elvis. I think Elvis was a good friend but given that Scotty & Bill were there from the beginning and gave him an early break I wish he had reached back and done more. Given that Colonel handled the business side of things I imagine that had much to do with it, but EP could have had them on stage with him more frequently. It would have been nice to see them d better off financially

    VIA/ Rock critic Dave Marsh credits Moore with the invention of power chording, on the 1957 Presley song "Jailhouse Rock", the intro of which Moore and drummer D.J. Fontana, according to the latter, "copped from a '40s swing version of 'The Anvil Chorus'."[2] Moore was ranked 29th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2011.[3] He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Memphis Music Hall of Fame in 2015. Easter Egg in the first 30 seconds? I know because of your videos Lauderdale Courts is over there but never heard of the building you mention in this video. You point to what looks like a small skyscraper too. Elvis never lived in any building like that...I’m only 30 seconds in, so let me watch the rest of the video. This one looks like it’s going to be a good one.
    I have so many questions that I believe Scotty would have known for sure. What a wealth of information he must’ve been.
    I hope his family members can fill-in any of the blanks for you!

    • @SpaGuy
      @SpaGuy  6 лет назад +1

      Yes Scotty was a Wealth of knowledge I spent a lot of time with him and he told a lot of stories.. In the video where you are talking about was the Lauderdale Cts building with the words I was talking about on the left the short building before the tall building which is Crown Plaza.. I wanted everybody to know when you are on I40 in Downtown Memphis you drive right by the front door.. Ih fact when you are heading east on 40 you can see the front door where they lived at Lauderdale..

    I love to hear about Scotty Moore! He played guitar like no other! However, I am certain or hope that you didn't mean it literally that without Scotty Moore we may not have ever known Elvis. If it wan't Scotty playing guitar with Elvis it would have been someone else but Elvis would have made it/been famous on his own regardless. FYI....A up side down stamp means “ I Love You”. I hope to hear about your life with Scotty!

      I will have to disagree with you there.. It was the Magic of all three people who started the career of Elvis.. Elvis, Scotty and Bill.. That is my opinion and the opinion of many others... Elvis was Great but it took other people who were Great to reveal it..

      I like to think I’m a very good judge of character and you have showed time and time again your character here on RUclips! To be nothing short of a kind and decent human being. You have taken time out of your personal schedule to talk to me and fill me in on some stories...yeah you definitely can’t please all the people!
      I guess there will always be haters. I pray for them. Jesus taught us to love and forgive our enemies. I sometimes struggle with this personally but always try to have the mindset of WWJCD! ( what would Jesus Christ do) I believe you already knew this one and it’s for anyone else reading this.

    Greetings, our brother ''Spa Guy'' [ Billy ] -- Yesterday, [ March 23, 2022, Thursday ] ''Spa Guy'' account splashed in my ''you tube'' selection. So I googled about ''Scotty Moore'' in ''Wikipedia''. I did not know that he was Elvis' 1st manager. == I found out he is named ''Winfield Scott Moore'' in the Account, much to my shock, [ December 27, 1931 - June 28, 2016 ] his Death Day is my Father's ''death day anniversary'' == And much more, this is the ****1st 1952 ''Miss Universe Pageant'' [ held June 28, 1952 ] Miss Finland was the winner, she married a Filipino. Again, this Date is one of the ****Chronological Dates of the Miss Universe Pageant.

  • @starlitekaraoke113
    @starlitekaraoke113 6 лет назад +1

    I have to call another EE. Was Scotty really Elvis’ first Mgr? I know from watching a few different things that Elvis asked him to be but Scotty declined saying something along the lines ‘playing guitar is enough work!’ Although on the road in the early years Scotty was also like the road manager, handling where all the money went, like gas, food, car repairs etc etc.
    I have to look up the managers name I’m thinking of. It’s before Sam Phillips.

    • @starlitekaraoke113
      @starlitekaraoke113 6 лет назад

      Bob Neil is the Mgr. Yet it is saying his personal Mgr. So I’m thinking after Sam Phillips signed him, Neil stayed on as Elvis personal Mgr till his contract ran out and Colonel Tom Parker enters.

    • @starlitekaraoke113
      @starlitekaraoke113 6 лет назад

      I have so much knowledge of Elvis that right now I’m feeling like I’m having a brain fart. Lol
      Let me get back to your video. I’m hoping you’ll set the record straight on this one.

    • @SpaGuy
      @SpaGuy  6 лет назад

      Yes Scotty was really the first manager they signed a management contract on July 12th 1954.. Scotty told me he was trying to manage the shows going from town to town using pay phones and it became too much so he wrote to The Colonel since he was the most well known manager at the time handing Hank Snow and he had a letter that he showed me and I held it in my hands of the Colonel through Tom Diskin turning Elvis down saying he didn't handle hillbilly acts.. Then they found Bob Neal who was the manager until Colonel took over.. In fact a little known fact is the RCA deal that was made by The Colonel went into effect under Bob Neals time.. When Heartbreak Hotel was recorded in January of 56 he was not officially his manager yet that did not happen until March of 56..

    Scotty actually had a bigger net worth than Elvis when they died. Elvis made much more but spent it! Scotty was careful with his money!

    • @SpaGuy

      I doubt that.. I knew Scotty and he lived a very modest lifestyle.. from what I have been told by people that would know but he didn't even own the house he lived in.. Elvis's net worth was estimated at about 5 million in 1977 I doubt Scotty had more than 5 million.. If he did he sure didn't live like it..
