There is comforting sense of community that provides solace for those confronted by their own mortality as they view, and pay respects to, the familiar faces they grew up with - and remember so vividly that they could have sworn it was only moments ago. 💕 🙏

Frank Borman was the Apollo 8 commander who read verse 9 and 10 from Genesis in the bible when Co-astronaut Bill Anders took one of the most famous Space pics of all time “Earth Rise” from Lunar Orbit on Christmas Eve 1968. The live TV broadcast was the most viewed event in history at that time. The vision of Earths beauty and utter loneliness in the void of space changed him and the other astronauts for life. The photo inspired many environmental campaign groups over the years. Ironically, despite the missions image of hope and peace on earth especially at such a special time of year, Frank said that Apollo mission in particular was all about Cold War, and little to do with space exploration, even referring to himself as a ‘Cold War Warrior’. The government and the CIA pushed NASA to make Apollo 8 do much more than the successful Apollo 7 mission, much more than originally planned. They were out to beat the Soviets who were catching up as much as honouring JFKs famous “We chose the Moon” speech. The timely Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969 owes most to the fast track feats and successes of Apollo 8 under the commandment of Frank Borman, RIP.

Musicians and artists, so many I don’t know or ever heard of; yet, I grieve for their families.

I like the fact that it’s not narrated in English with a Hindu accent.

Illness didn't keep Ken Mattingly off of Apollo 13. Out of an abundance of caution he was replaced because he had been exposed to German Measels, but he never became ill.
Rest in Peace Rear Admiral Mattingly and Colonel Borman. We salute you.

It cost to much to put an obituary in legacy I tried to post my brothers passing and they wanted over one thousand dollars when it should be free..

Legacy Music is always so awesome making it what it is for these veterans this week all the actors and actresses and the people from flying on the moon people that pass away and dive natural causes. You know I said tears when I shed my tears and I cry for those peoplebecause I know from the Good well as the times when they were younger times when they are older and they go on into heaven and God’s home with Jesus and the saint pope jump on the second pulp jam pile. The second pope, John Paul the second.
