I like to make names that convey the general idea of the content you’ll find when seeing the video library for example my main channel is SnazzyGameBot and this is my second channel that I made to challenge myself as a creator and make content based on my other interests as well as experiment in trying other interests. That being said I’ve considered changing the name several times since I feel that this is more a holdover name but some ideas I’ve came up with since creating the channel are: Marco’sMix, AverageGuyTries, MBProductions, MarcoMakes or MarcoMakesContent(leaning towards this one). I like that they’re memorable, unique and have nice sounding acronyms.

You just helped me solidify my channel name I picked prior to this vid! Hybrid it is! "Sean Said It" is the name and this channel is going to be my speaking on business, investing, social experiments, pyschology and more! Hope to see you at the top and thank you!
Mine is the Hybrid one (option 3). Jei is what I go by at conventions, and is literally part of my name, but spelled using Romanized Japanese Kanji (Using English letters to spell out something written in Japanese). The character for JEI are what would be used to spell Jay in Japanese. The "Cos" part of my name is just short for Cosplay (which is what my channel is about), and is extremely common in the cosplay community to indicate that you are a cosplayer.

@@astraphobiacos Yea I was lucky that part of my actual name (Or even just the first letter, since that's how you pronounce the letter "J"), flowed really well into the "cos" part. There are tons of people who use their first name followed by cosplay, so what I did is pretty normal actually lol. For example, someone could be named "EmilyCosplay" or "JakeCosplay" or something. That's pretty common. Most people use a word they associate with, and then the word cosplay. For example your name. Astraphobia may be something you deal with for real. But it also just sounds cool. That's basically what the second way is that I mentioned there, a word you associate with.

Of the words I considered, Wandering was the best fit. I also wanted it to be appealing to beginners, be reasonably memorable and not sound like I'm some aggressive hiker.

I enjoy playing games such as Star Citizen, FPS, and Madden on a regular basis, but at the same time. I also wanna make sure that my channel talks about real-life stuff that we go through as people.. I don't know if I should have 2 separate channels or make it one for right now and go from their.

Fun fact. My name LOOKS like a real name (option 1) but it’s actually a custom name (option 4). It’s from my two main Animal Crossing character names. Alexi and Giovani ;)
I use my gaming nickname (BlueWolf), in every kind of account, app or game (even my SCHOOL ACCOUNT). Its very unique and includes two of some of my favorite things. Its something simple but it became my personal signature for years. Im proud of my channel name for sure...!

I want to make RUclips videos about outdoor gear and trips related to biking and hiking. Should I rename one of my inactive channels, they where about tea and motorcycle restoration. Should I rename one of these channels (maybe the one with 150 subscribers) and make an announcement video to let the viewers know about the new content, or should I create a third, separate channel for the outdoor content?"
I should just accept my name that I've had for so many years and not be ashamed of it. Many people misread it or mispronounce it and that's always made me think I've maybe made a mistake or made it too hard, but to me, it had a special meaning.
Every time I find a good one I put it in the search bar and it's already long been taken... makes me feel like the whole idea of original ideas and copyright is one big farce. 😂
Anyone who reveals their true identity on the internet has no idea what they're doing. It's why I use names like this: Sonic, and other names I've used. I don't want just anyone to see what I really look like or have access to my full name. It can be misused.
If your real name is rather lame or hard to spell for people just create a stage name like all the musicians do. It really doesn't matter in the long run as long as the content is good. Maybe some alias about your niche. If it's just you then this is your chance to create a name you've always wanted right? - Signed... Mr. Beans
I’ve changed my RUclips name a few times, but I like the hybrid method how it currently is. I post investing content as well and I’ve thought about adding that in somehow, but feel like that may make the name too long.

And also say you are doing lie streams and people making donation if you're using an alias how can you get paid as your bank account details won't be the same as your pen name. I’m very happy with my Channel name. It’s unique and I know I am literally the only person in the world and on youtube with this name.
I went with mine because I'm not getting any younger, people IRL treat me like I'm their uncle, and a friend who passed away always called me Mick.
No I am not. I was at first, but it's too long. The domain and email would be too long.
I started out as Travelling Paul. But then I changed it to Budget Traveller Paul. Which do you think is the best name?

It took me a while to come up with my name, and so far I like it.
