I'm a second year player and a first year skip (in my club's novice league), and I feel I've gotten a decent understanding of the basics of strategy (thanks in no small part to this channel). This sort of advice is exactly what I needed, as my level of curling involves at least as many misses as it does makes. I got my name on the novice trophy last season as a second, and I intend to get it again this year at top billing (lead and vice from that team are my second and vice this season).
