am using this gear tomorrow for a gosple seminar and this video has just given all the information on the balancing process which has been ma challenge, so thanks. ALL THE WAY FROM CAMEROON. #ELFA MEDIA
Exactly what I was looking for, mate! Saw a ton of videos about this thing and none of them really went over exactly how to balance. It was irritating! Great video and thanks for it!
wow. I also have Black magic 6k camera.. and it is impossible to balance it with heavy lenses on that Flycam. Cause it always fall forward... whatever i did. Did. Spotted that you've mounted the plate way closer to yourself. It went over the edge as i see. Such approach i haven't used yet.. Seems like it is time to take that gimbal from the closet! Thank you, mate. God bless ya
I think the flycam ist a little bit more complicated in balancing and more exhausting because you cannot grab with both arms. But I love the organic feeling and the direct control over this stabilization system. Its really oldschool, most people use gimbal today. Greets from Germany.
Steadicam is best for natural by moving and best for short footage (10-20 sec) if shoot for long (30 sec over) footage your muscles will be tired, so gimbal was best choice and easy to use without operator skill
I have a Ronin RSC 2. I'm going back to Analog. Hate to be worrying about the battery and looking at the battery meter all the time. It's too much stress... Sending it back to Amazon. And you still have to do the Ninja walk. Also a Ronin gets stupid heavy after 20 min of shooting. I do not shoot weddings anymore. Just music videos and I get hired as a camera operator/ DP. I'm very familiar with these analog systems. Thanks for your Demo
Great video - Really, really helpful. Not just the explanation how to balance and set it up, but also about which focal length to use, how to hold, how to walk and about practising.
That's the biggest problem with this setup. I much prefer my RS2 rig that allows me to pull focus and stabilize at the same time. Check out my video for that on my channel if you are interested!
Thank you, but i need to ask u please, can i get any advantage when i put my electric gimble with this flycam redking + flycam galaxy vest arm?, or is just a visual cyber guy with camera 😂
@@legrandamineofficial4184 Haha! I mean, it can help take the weight off your arms and yes it can add extra stability, but it just depends on your shooting style!
Do you still use this or have you transferred to the DJI? The flycam will have a more organic feel. I have the Moza Air 2 and Flycam and use both depending on situation but the flycam just looks better and not computerized lol
Is that the black magic 4k or 6K? Also, I'm using the 4k with a speed booster. It is definitely heavier on one side so it kind of wobbles off or veers off if you know what I mean.
I do not recommend Samsung T7. But I do recommend Samsung T7 Shield. „Shield” is there on the official BMPCC 6K list of supported media. And I just use Samsung T7 Shield with BMPCC 6K G2
just bought one of these instead of a gymbal upgrade. this video got straight to the point!
@@5pc_tendie Glad it was helpful!

Excellent!
Helpful breakdown. Thanks.

Yes, I like my gimbal much better now as well! But steadicams are still a great option if you don’t mind putting in the work!

Great summary. For wedding ceremonies, or for wedding speeches, gimbal with a monopod is a pretty sweet option at times.
This was incredibly helpful! Thanks!
Very nice instruction. Thanks!
Great video man. Flycam coming in soon. 👍🏾
Just been given this steadicam plus the vest with supporting arm from a mate to try before I buy. £200! A bargain I would say.

@@DuroSamples Yeah, steadicams take a bit more skill but they will always have your back!
Nice video, thanks!
Great video. Thanks. I'm going to be referencing this soon!
super helpful. thank you.
Marching baritone trained me for this
Thanks! That helped so much with getting started. The mic link for Amazon doesn't work though.
I'll have to check the link, thank you for the donation!
Perfect - thanks!

Thanks for the positive feedback!
Excellent vid!
Thank you!
Nice video! My camera spins when I hold the Flycam. Do you have any idea how to stop that?
You have to use your fingers from one hand to control it!
Thanks for putting out such an useful content brother, am about to pick a new flycam!
👍🏻
How do u pull focus with that set up? great video

I have pretty much completely switched over to my RS2. More for functionality reasons than cinematography reasons though!
❤️thanks for great content
Thanks for your support!

It's the 6K! If you get the tilta cage you can always move where your manfrotto plate is mounted to compensate if you haven't already tried.
Hey, do you know if the Samsung T7 works with the latest bmpcc 6k firmware?
All I know is that it didn't work with firmware 6.9,
I have not tried it with the 7.3 firmware, and I mainly use silicon power CFAST cards anyway.
I do not recommend Samsung T7. But I do recommend Samsung T7 Shield. „Shield” is there on the official BMPCC 6K list of supported media. And I just use Samsung T7 Shield with BMPCC 6K G2
how do you calculate how many weight plates you need? My setup is 5.044 LBS or 2.288KG
However many makes it balance right!
Do I want image stabilization on or off on camera?
On!
My Redking is balanced right vertically but it keeps turning its head from left to right, how to stop it?
Control it lightly with your other hand, that is fairly common!
i can’t find it anymore in market…
If you use amazon, you should be able to find it through this link: amzn.to/3DvOZ1T
Didn't spin so it's 95% balanced. . you should take it a part and start from the beginning . you need a stand to bance it. First .
None sense. Video Dude 👎👎👎 iv been using it for years .
