What monitor are you using?
How much weights do you put in the bottom according to the weight of the camera?
hope you figured it out yourself. haha
you take the min amount of weights on each side and start with the telescope pulled in. then you make the droptest and pull the telescope out abit each time :)
Best focal length range for glidecams?
What is the size of the interior hole of the handle of the glidecam?

how long did it take you to go from never touched a Glidecam to being confident?
This depends on how ofter you use it. Everything needs practise. But a Glidecam has not motors and therefore can be used everywhere at anytime. So it is worth to invest some time.
Do you shoot videos on glidecam on auto focus or manual focus
RED only shoots manual. With current canon cameras you may be able to get away with auto focus. That said manual focus is more reliable.
Manual focus FTW. That's how I shoot with my gimbals
