You said you were only going to listen to one and next thing you know the urge hit and you came back for another Tyler Joseph gem. Tyler is an absolute genius throughout his entire career. His early stuff when he was just a young man in his parent's basement making his musical works of art are just so raw and genuine. While his lyrical prowess was evident then I believe it's on a whole other level and not as cryptic as the blurryface/trench albums. Granted his early years really showed his struggle with his beliefs then slowly dived head first in to his mental health. It's all different; but the same. The different eras hit different. Makes me want to give him a hug and ask him who hurt him. Though, without the struggle, would we have Twentyone Pilots now? I'm glad we do. They were and are a beacon of hope when I'm absolutely broken down and I am thankful I found them when I did. i know when I first discovered them I played every song I could find, plus my newly bought vessel and blurryface cd's on repeat for like 3 weeks solid. They were the ONLY music I played during that period. SOMETHING Tyler Joseph created was blasting through my speakers. It's been roughly 2 years now and I'm telling ya his music still has the same effect it did then with red eyes, burnin nose, lump in my throat and glossy eyes at the very least. Grown man not afraid to admit that, either. :D

In the 3 years, I've been stanning TØP after seeing them in concert I have listened to almost all their music, but No Phun Intended is one album I never really listened to all their tracts. One of the reasons was I knew it was before the creation of TØP and I was always scared to listen to tracts that might not rise to same quality as I got in the Vessel & later albums. So Fil this is one song that we both listened to for the first time & for that, I will be forever grateful. Thank you man! I used to listen to this song over and over. I listened to ALL his songs/albums over and over, HOURS each day. They all hit on various parts of my decline and progression (a relapse after 11 years sober). Some of my favorites which showcased my spiral, relatable, and INTENSE are: Addict with a Pen, Fairly Local (SO relatable drug /homeless wise), Heavydirtysoul, Clear, Goner, Fall Away, Ode to Sleep, Polarize, The Judge, Lane boy, Car Radio, Trap Door, Doubt and of course Save. Those were just the emotionally or highly relatable ones that were on repeat. I love ALL his music! Dear Sir Fable, I just wanted to second that emotion of another poster who said how much he appreciated the fact that you are willing to react to Tyler's super-Jesus-y songs, regardless of what your spiritual background may be, without judgment. I'm not as certain as I once was regarding the religious makeup of this fan base, but supposing it hasn't radically changed, I believe many of us are mostly agnostic & maybe a little secretly jealous of people with deep faith & even those, like Tyler, who so personally struggle with it. I recall first stumbling on this album of highly churchy songs that Tyler sang on & the frickin music! This shit was SO GOOD! It IS still! All the Clique members in the comments were, by & large, either fallen-away Christians, fallen-away Muslims, fallen-away Jews, Buddhists, even Bahá'í; so many of us were 'wishing we could believe'.. My point, I suppose, is this must be the single band in history with these bizarre demographics..Tyler has this value system, one can easily infer, which dictated that as soon as he achieved some level of influence, he would no longer overtly discuss or sing about his beliefs because he 'is the one with the microphone', which he feels gives him an undue advantage over his audience (because they can't tell him what to believe with their non-existent mics).. I'm laughing a little, not at Fil, but at the situation. He listened to "Blasphemy" and "Save" on the same day and struggled and I (like many I'm sure) listened to the whole album in one go and I was a complete mess after. I then proceeded to put it on repeat and kept crying so, jokes on my sad ass😂😂
