Love Adam Rupp & his insane talent. He is the best out there in my opinion. He simulates the sounds of a drum perfectly. Many drummers have commented on how good he is. He sounds so realistic. His breath control must be crazy. I heard he makes the sounds both while inhaling & exhaling. This was a few years ago & hard to believe but he is even better now. Adam is the glue that holds Home Free together. He is their secret weapon which other a cappella groups can't match.
He went to music school and majored in trumpet, so yes, his breath control is not only amazing but trained and practiced. There is a technique that some instrumentalists use called circular breathing that I'm certain Adam uses to some extent during these solos. The technique allows them to continue to "exhale" while taking in a breath by using air stored in their cheeks. Once the technique is mastered it allows, say, a trumpet player to play a continuous note on what sounds like a single breath but really isn't. Its use is more limited without an instrument but can be used to produce some of the sounds he makes.
Adam actually learned how to play the drums to become a better vocal percussionist. He majored in trumpet, though, so he already has good breath control.
This one is eight years old. He has a new version now where he uses a looper live to create a new set each night. There have been a couple different shows uploaded to RUclips in the past couple of months.
At a concert a couple of days ago in Greeneville, TN, he had an eleven minute “drum” solo of so many different sounds. It was amazing. You need to see them live.

I know I'm spamming you a bit now 🤣, but we stunned him once, in Prague in 2018, when we replied back on the "3"-thing almost perfectly. There's a few of his here in Europe that travel to see them when they come to this side of the pond and the guys "know" us. We've never seen him so surprised. (Except perhaps in Oslo 2020 when the guys left him hanging on stage after his solo ended 🤣).
Adam Rupp did teach himself to be proficient in Drumming so he could get the moves correct he is not a trained singer AND yet again he taught himself to sing better he is a Tenor. In older clips live shows Guilty pleasures He taught himself Korean. There is nothing ANY of these guys can't do but Adam Rupp is special in his capacity to learn new things all the time. World Class beatboxer yes but just plane World class.

Sorry but that’s not true. Adam has never competed internationally. He has two local sweepstakes wins more than a decade ago. He has said he is not into competing but rather appreciates musicianship.

He Sings in over 7 oktaves and in 14 Languages playes 7 instruments that we know of and are doctoring in music!!! He started music school at 5 years old and told the teatcher that the piano was out of tune!!! He is 28 years young know and comes from Kazakhstan! When he was 22 in 2017 he was invited to compete in a Chines contest called "Singer" against well known and older Chinese artist contestents! No one knew him then. After episode 1 he was know al over China and outher countrys and got the nick name "imported little brother"!!! From episode 4 he was a mega seleberti in China!!! His first song was SOS in french his secound Opera 2 in Russian third in english and forth in Chinese (and he learnt Chinese in less then 1 week)!!! From the moment he got on stage people was saying he looked kinda like "Terry Lin" a well know Chines artist that was called a aline before Dimash was! They kinda have the same base in voice to! Oh where can I find info on this? I have done a lot of searching and can find nothing about Adam. 2009 winner in Germany was ZeDe, and there is nothing about loopstation competitions untill 2018. Help me!
@@tarjaikola the vid was titled Germany 2009-2010 Beatboxing/Loop-station and he took 4th place. I think they purged it in their crusade against the right last year because it is now greyed you in my favs.
@@michaelernst3731 I asked Adam about this and he replied that he has never competed in Beatbox Championships nor do I ever have a desire or need to. He has won two harmony sweepstakes best vocal percussionist awards back in the day (one was honorary just for him) and a couple best overall beatboxer awards from the a cappella world. So some awards, no championships. Even though for us he is the best one ever!

He has a degree in music performance focusing on Trumpet. So that's how he can double tongue, triple tongue, and circular breathe.

His Billy Jean solo in GA is my favorite. He dances sings and beatboxes all at once. No breathing necessary.

Sorry but that’s not true. Adam has never competed internationally. He has two local sweepstakes wins more than a decade ago. He has said he is not into competing but rather appreciates musicianship.
There are several drum solo videos on RUclips. You just have to look for them. He beatboxes while breathing and out. He does play drums as well as a out 10 or 12 other instruments. He is amazing. Here's Adam's solo I videoed Saturday 2/19/22 at their latest show. They are now calling his solo a beatbox/drum solo. In this one he uses looping and more light show effects. It's awesome to see in person. I think it's been a few years since but Adam has been Beatbox World Champion twice! He's also a big gamer. If you watch there Quarantine video you will see his collection in the background.

He Sings in over 7 oktaves and in 14 Languages playes 7 instruments that we know of and are doctoring in music!!! He started music school at 5 years old and told the teatcher that the piano was out of tune!!!
He is 28 years young know and comes from Kazakhstan! When he was 22 in 2017 he was invited to compete in a Chines contest called "Singer" against well known and older Chinese artist contestents! No one knew him then. After episode 1 he was know al over China and outher countrys and got the nick name "imported little brother"!!! From episode 4 he was a mega seleberti in China!!!
His first song was SOS in french his secound Opera 2 in Russian third in english and forth in Chinese (and he learnt Chinese in less then 1 week)!!!
From the moment he got on stage people was saying he looked kinda like "Terry Lin" a well know Chines artist that was called a aline before Dimash was! They kinda have the same base in voice to!
After the first line of singing they was so stuned that they dident know how he could sound like that!!! After half the song they just shook there head in dissbelife and just woundering HOW!? It isent possoble to sing like that!!!! Also this song is about 1/3 of what he can do!!!

Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! @@michaelernst3731 I asked Adam about this and he replied that he has never competed in Beatbox Championships nor do I ever have a desire or need to. He has won two harmony sweepstakes best vocal percussionist awards back in the day (one was honorary just for him) and a couple best overall beatboxer awards from the a cappella world.
So some awards, no championships. Even though for us he is the best one ever!
