I actually loved... LOVED the story of Mafia 3. One thing all the mafia games have in common, though, is that once you're done, there's nothing left to do. I wanna keep getting kickback, selling herb, and renovating neighborhoods and sprucing up schools. lol

@@cluckbent6466 I love Mafia 2 as well. Same problem. Nothing to do after you've won. Mafia 3 is my favorite so far, and I take nothing away from Mafia 2. It's an excellent game.

I think a Mafia prequel sounds great. Maybe even make a trilogy of prequel/orgin games! The first one with Salieri, the second game with Leo, Vinci and the Moretti war and the third game with the Marcano family!
Oh shit that is a fantastic idea it can be an own series just prequels and don’t make it mafia 4 entry name it mafia origins! Hope they do that and mafia IV can be Vegas 70s. But back to origins chapters first salieri and then we can have Leo Galante and in mafia 3 I want Lucio marcano he surely was powerful that’s why he was killed off they saw him as a threat or Sal’s father, possibilities are endless and it’s likely origins story cuz the sources are unsure if next game is named “mafia 4”
I also wouldn't mind an origin story for Eddie Scarpa and Carlo Falcone as well

Mafia 2 deserves a remake and Mafia 3 a "next gen" patch, with even better graphs and 60fps would be great. But more importantly, a stats count in gane menu and a serious fix on trophies.

Hopefully the rumor about a more linear story like in M:TcoLH and MII is true. I really liked these story-telling types of games.
I’d love them to go with the 1970’s-1980’s because there’s so much they could do. The music would be amazing. Or maybe a sopranos inspired game set in the 90’s but that’s a long shot. Obviously we’d all love more closure for Vito & Joe as well. I just hope they DO NOT do a prequel to Mafia 1. Another idea I’d love is a Jimmy Hoffa/mob inspired story based in a fictional Detroit👀

There is nothing wrong with prequel but risky they need to do salieri good and Italy world we haven’t had that in mobsters games, it would look like the Godfather movies. I prefer Donnie brasco story in Vegas 70s-80s and undercover cop is Tommy Angelo son going to crack down the mob once and for all. Mafia 4 might not be called that it’s likely mafia origins and mafia 4 Vegas! Like gta not every gta has a number after the title
I agree. I dont like the idea of setting in early 1900s in sicily.. wtf would we supposed to do there? It's a freakin poor backwater even for italy. But unreal engine 5 would be absolutely awesome.
Maybe a DLC about Sicily might work. Another idea could be a mini mission of Frank Pagani smuggling Tommy Marcano out of Havana.

I think Mafia 4 can go in 3 different ways.
1: A prequel to the first Mafia game, with Salieri as the main character. Telling his backstory as how he became Lost Heaven's mob boss.
2: A reunion between Vito and Joe after Mafia 3, where you can play as both characters like in Spider-Man 2.
3: A whole new different story with a new character, which in some way will connect to the previous games. How? Including some characters like Lincoln, Thomas Burke, Casandra, Vito, Joe or anybody that can be useful for the plot.
Mafia 4 will probably be taking place in Los Ondas

the makers of mafia3 did not lose their way, mafia3 is one of the best singleplayer games in existence right now. That game is much longer than people understand. Only 15.8% of players even reached the marijuana farm part of the game. Thats where the game starts! What happened is people mistook the "gain $5,000" total quest as an analysis of the gameplay itself, i can totally see how people assumed all quests of the game would work that way. I did too. Its not. Its a very very tiny segment of the game. Do yourself a favor and complete a mafia3 playthrough otherwise you are missing out on something incredible.
The updates and DLCs definitely made Mafia 3 better. When the game first launched, there was no option to change Lincoln's clothes or customize cars.
@@MafiaGameVideos interesting, i played through the whole game as a white guy using a simple tool that allowed you to play as any character in mafia3 it was so funny. You can even play as a clown. You can even drive those parade flat vehicles. I think i have a couple vids of it on my channel somewhere but i got like 1000 of garbo vids to scroll thru so you might not want to go searching lol
I never managed to complete this game. It felt like driving from point A to point B most of the time with some guns every now and then. Absolutely horrid

Guys, I think this is a good place to comment this. What I’m about to say IS TRUE and I put that on everything I love. I was on twitter and wanted to DM Vito Scaletta’s actor so I said something along the lines of “when are you coming back, I really want to see Vito again” and replied to the tweet with “Who said I left?”. Unfortunately, I deleted the tweet some time later for some reason. I thought about this a couple weeks ago and I just started wondering if he gave me a teaser. I’m thinking of tweeting at him again.

I don't see them releasing in 2025. Competition with GTA 6 would not bode well for the Mafia series. A fall 2024 release makes more sense. That said, I'm glad they went with a prequel. Mafia 3 just wasn't it and a 1970s setting would feel too close to that. Of course, I am of the mindset that Mafia 2 was the best in the series.

As someone that worked on Mafia 2 I can tell u there's no production of a Mafia 4 happening anytime soon the development for this game at this Gen stage would be pointless ... Remember the big elephant in the room GTA 6 .... NOT saying it won't ever happen but at this stage pointless no I don't work for Mafia dev team anymore I was a light effect designer shadows reflection so on ..... But still very informed about the team

I just, idk. If mafia iv does take place in the 1920's in Sicily, I just don't think the game will sell. Everything will just be so limited. Plus, if it's just gonna be a linear game where there's nothing else to do but the story, that's not gonna fly with today's market. These days, games have to be filled to the brim with content in order to justify that new price point. Otherwise, people are gonna complain. Idk, I just don't think this is a good idea.
Red Dead II takes place in 1899, Ac Black Flag in the 1700s and Mafia I in the 30's. How come it'd be limited? Good stories and gameplay transcend time settings.
@orpheus4830 But there's a difference between these two other franchises and mafia. These other games have a ton of content. Mafia really just focuses on the story and nothing more.
@@mijofalco6355Then it's the game model that is the problem, not the time setting. As i said, devs could get creative and put their own spin on things. Sicily in the 20s has a lot of potential for great stories and characters, nevermind the beautiful game world that it would be.
@orpheus4830 I mean, the reason I mentioned the setting is because personally, I don't find that time and setting interesting. Rdr and ac with the western and pirate settings, to me, are far more interesting and you can do way much more than what you can do in a small Sicilian village.

I'd love to take down a whole faction of rival mafiosi in a lush italian villa wielding improvised shotguns and revolvers after riding on horseback through a beautiful mediterranean island. Very Godfather inspired... but hey, a man can dream...
