Great video. This works so well. Switching any two of the 3 wires will change the direction of the brushless tail motor but ezer to just get the correct props no soldering required this makes an already great flying bird even better if thats possible no more being chased by an invisible drone
the tail rotor is supposed to turn toward the back when the blade tip reach the top position. whether the main rotor is turning clockwise or counter clockwise. you can use the stock tail rotor, if you just reverse the direction of rotation of the motor. and flip the stock blade.
Yes, that is correct. However, it depends on the direction of your tail motor. If it’s spinning clockwise, it should be 5045R, and if it's spinning counterclockwise, it should be 5045.
Always double-check your connections, as sometimes the polarity can be reversed. For example, connect wire A from the ESC to terminal C on the motor, wire B from the ESC to terminal B on the motor, and wire C from the ESC to terminal A on the motor. This has only happened to me once when I purchased something from the factory, but usually, the tail motor spins in the correct direction. It’s also possible they gave me the wrong blade, which could cause it to spin in the wrong direction as well.

Glad it helped.
It did I have some stls you maybe interested in for (the Lady) airwolf fuselage got them from Cruz Roy
Yeah, I’ll be interested in the stls.
@pilotbowser9980 it seems I can't post 😕 anymore I'm on the book find me their
Same name with airwolf logo
Thanks, I did this previously but never flew it, I had the tairotor backwards,(5045R) glad I didn'tt try to fly it!!
I’m glad the video help you out and you didn’t lose your helicopter too.

and flip the stock blade.
Sorry for the delay in the response I didn’t see it till now. Yes, you can do that, but I find it easier just to switch the props.
The only difference between the 2 blades is for the mod, I need the 1 without the R but the same number, correct?
Thanks again.
Yes, that is correct. However, it depends on the direction of your tail motor. If it’s spinning clockwise, it should be 5045R, and if it's spinning counterclockwise, it should be 5045.
@@pilotbowser9980 Spinning direction is from the perspective of the motor mounted on the left side of the Heli, correct? Thanks
Works great huh
Thank you.
So, for an unmodded setup(as it comes from the factory), the motor is counterclockwise, so it spins toward the main rotor ?

Where do I get the new blade?
HeliDirect, Banggood, and AliExpress
Did you only change the prop to the 5045 and put the motor on the other side? I have the V2.5 with the 5045R. Thanks, good video too btw!
That is correct and thank you. If you have any more questions please let me know.
For the FW450 v2.5, do I use 5045R prop with the letters pointing towards the prop shaft ?
@karlc9773 Yes, if you are not doing the mod.
So, for the standard FW450 v2 unmodded, the letters face to ward the rear shaft ?
Yes, and sorry for the late response too.
What`s the point? The two FW450`s I have work fine the way they are!
It was a prove a concept and I was planning on doing the modification for my future Airwolf project.
@@pilotbowser9980 Right on, thanks for answering my inquiry.
@mattsherlock5169 this mod makes the fw450 not sound like a drone is chasing the helicopter
bonjour pilot Boxser dans quel sens le moteur doit tourner?
The main rotor is clockwise and the tail motor is counterclockwise.
Tail motor stup
Good luck
What do you mean?
