That's like breaking your watch into a thousand little pieces, putting all of those little pieces into a bag and shaking it for a million years and believing that after a million years you'll open the bag and the watch will be completely fixed. It's just not believable. I pray that God will open your eyes before it's too late.

The song also relates to when a very good friend stabs you in the back after what they did to you. I had a friend who I called a best friend. She did the unthinkable by believing her boyfriend of only a year than her best friend of almost 5 years. She honestly thinks I said something to her boyfriend along the lines of on how long she's been a single mom, totally not my place to discuss that. She thinks I lied to her when i didn't say anything at all. She broke my heart into millions of pieces when she did that. She did have a nice soul, not anymore.

I have found another beautiful woman..but the words of this song ring so true always .. I've heard it said that if you have memories of someone..they are not dead ..my one true love of my life will always secretly be in my heart and occasionally in my mind...!!
It's such a shame David lost someone to suicide, I couldn't imagine the grief of losing a friend like that, I've lost my grandmother in 2019 to natural causes, but knowing that a friend or family member took their own life and knowing something could of been done to prevent it, that would be terrible.
It's been three months since you decided that you didn't want me in your life. I've tried to move on, and sometimes I feel like I did, but in nights like this, your memory comes back and my heart aches again. There's so much left unsaid and you refuse to even see me, so I can't tell you how I feel, at least not in a way that matters. I just want you out of my mind. Please leave.
As amazing as the song is they should use a different name for the soft stuff and release it all together. That being said it is powerful and beautiful in a way I am not used to from a rock band. It is also one of the more painful songs I have heard in a long time and with as much as Dave puts into it there is still a little missing, I wonder if anyone will be able to cover it like Johhny Cash did to Hurt.
