You have NO IDEA have useful this is to me. This answers so many of my questions and more. Thank you! Your channel is hands down the most accurate and best at explaining channel covering Istanbul. ❤
That’s so kind of you! Thank you so much! We are so glad to read these kind of comments, this really motivates us to keep doing even better every day ❤️🇹🇷
Just got back from Istanbul. Really enjoyed it. The prices and conversion rates have really changed a lot since this video. A taxi from Sultanamet to IST was 600tl (4 am) and 750tl (afternoon). I had the hotel call them. That is $23 and $28 US. Also tried Uber but when the driver accepted the ride he asked for more than the rate quoted in Uber. We were tired and had just arrived and it had taken several minutes for any driver to accept so I negotiated a little less, but still more than the Uber rate. (We tried save time and money by taking the metro from IST into the city and using an Uber for the remainder but probably ended up spending the same amount as if we had just taken a taxi from the airport.). Oh well. After a day trip to Sofia we took the Havaist bus and it was nice. We didn’t have luggage and knew the city better by then. The bus was $5 US.
Berry Merhaba I saw your channel accidentally and now I'm hooked on to it. You define things so well and I am sure many people who are new to istanbul will find it useful. You're doing a wonderful job.keep it up rise and shine stay blessed
Awwww so nice of you! Im so glad to know that you are enjoying our content 🤗🤗 That’s our main goal, helping others through our videos and make easier their planning and itineraries. Much love from Istanbul 🇹🇷❤️
I was in Istanbul a week ago for two weeks, have returned now. Your channel really helped me to get to know the city without any efforts. I wish I could have subscribed it before to get maximum information. I like to promote your channel on my twitter account because many people on my twitter love to visit Istanbul.
Merhaba Bery! I will be traveling to Istanbul in September and on this trip I will be staying in Kadiköy and your info about Havaist is much appreciated. Even though I have been to Istanbul six times, your videos are very helpful, especially now during this pandemic. Teşekkürler!
I am so grateful to discover your channel. Planning to visit Istanbul for my first time and was uncertain how the transportation from the airport to hotel might be after seeing how far they are from the city center. Thanks for sharing this information
Hi Bery! I have watched a few of your videos and found them to be helpful. I am traveling via Istanbul (first time) and will have a few hours to spend in the city. Wish you could make a video on what to do when there is a layover of 6 to 15 hours. Most importantly, I didn't find any mention of lockers at the airport for keeping luggage before heading out to the city center or where to sleep at the airport before catching a connecting flight. Will appreciate if you are other knowledgeable travelers can comment. Thank you!
I came to Istanbul on December 4, 2022. Followed your instructions getting havaist bus for Taksim square. Thanks for the video. Very helpful. One update: fare now is 67 lira per person (more than double a year ago when you made this video 😢)
Thank You so much for this very valuable information, The Havaist to Beyazit Meyden point was exactly how you mentioned it. Acabamos de regresar y la verda esta hermoso esta ciudad. Gracias
I will be in Istanbul from December 1st. How freaking amazing is it, to go by bus from the airport to city center, which is 50km away and pay less than 3 Euros? AMAZING! THANK YOU for your advises.
Now there is metro / subway also. You need to walk to the station when you exit the airport. They have the automated walking pathway that helps. You will need to buy istanbul card to pay. Get cash at currency exchange at the airport. Credit card reader may not work if card is rejected by bank cause you are in new country.
I really enjoy watching your videos... 😊every one of them is more interesting than the other one! ❤ I admire your efforts in informing the potential visitors to come to Istanbul with every details. 👍But I have to point out that the taxi drivers are not out there to deceive the tourist with fake currencies. There has been some incidents reported in this regard but it is not a standart practice used by taxi drivers. When it comes to taxi drivers I think they have terrible reputation world wide. Therefore the best advice - should be given - to tourists not to pay anything in foreign currencies ( except from venezuellan peso or iranian tomen 😅) in such services rather in turkish lira which is almost whortless anyway🤔
Hmm, the only thing that got me perplexed is the taxi fare to/from city center to airport(you mentioned 250-350 TL). I don't know whether the prices skyrocketed by March 2021 when this video was uploaded, but I paid 135 TL(with taximeter) from Sultan Ahmet to New Istanbul Airport in September 2020
They did increase. Just us, we paid 120 TL from the Istanbul new airport to my parents in law’s place which is just 25 min away from the airport 20 kms. That was on August 3rd when we came back from our trip to Mexico. To Sultanahmet is more than double than I paid because is 45 km and a 1.5 hr ride depending on traffic, it could be more in peak hrs. So yes, prices can even be more than I am mentioning here.
Definitely! Is your best way to go if you are looking into not spending much money in transportation. Things here are increasing every week 😅 we are already so frightened.
Great info! Also If you guys are a team of 4 people then the best option is to take taxi so that you can split the bill and will be almost the same bus fare. BUT if you all have loads of luggage then it would be a problem 🙄
Hi Berry, pls let us know about HES Code for transportation/Istanbulkart and entering public mall. Especially for tourists who dont have Turkish number. Many tourist have been stuck on it.
Love your channel? I might travel to Istanbul for the New year. Can you give us some tips about in which area to stay and where to celebrate NYE and do cool (free stuff) on new years eve? Thank you!!!
Hi, plz can u update this video and do videos off taking the new M4 and M11 metro trains to the airport. No need for R buses as the mtros are much faster and cheaper.
Hi, if you staying in Bosphorus area which airport is better to fly to Cappadocia for few days trip, IST or SAW? we are planing to come back in Bosphorus area
Hello dear I like ur videos ..I have a question could u please give information about luggage storage procedures and specially PRICE for two days in Istanbul
Hi Bery, I am not sure if you will see my comments. This video is a little old. Would you be able to make a new one for both airports. I heard that no Metro also runs from both the airports. Please if possible.
Hi there thanks so much for the video! May I check how do I get from Taksim Square to Istanbul Airport? Do I also take the Havaist Bus and how do I know which bus and where to locate the bus stop to take the bus to the airport? Thanks!

Tbf, inflation is mad crazy in Turkey, so your local currency must have appreciated Vs the Turkish Lira.
