What do you think of their first thin and light gaming laptop? Would you get it? The M15 is 38% lighter than the regular Alienware 15 (and has much better thermals than I expected for a thin and light).
But answering the impending question, I think it's really good. I've always been waiting for Dell to make a thin and light gaming laptop, and they've delivered a good shot at it - not being that far away from the industry. It's kinda like how Razer and Google had pitched their initial phones.
Crimson Arzuros what you run now, pre GTX 1080 notebook? any thin? needing to be thin??? You need some GTX 1080 on a fast intel, NVMe you can replace for 970 PRO! Can we see < $1k thin GTX 1080 systems now, or is nVidia coming with some RTX refresh, so we need to pay $2k for them?
Lahyani 3 year old gear in thin formats, shout be less then $1k i guss, soon? The best laptop now, that ASUS ROG GTX 1080 on 9900k mobile, who needs the best, most go for the max $1k systems!
J.G Jonny Seriously though, the reason this laptop is cooled well is because they actually designed a new cooling solution for it. The solutions in their other machines are outdated for 6-core chips, and they’re too lazy to redesign them.

Dave keep in mind that this is a max q laptop. these GPU's are not the same in terms of the gtx 1070 in the alienware 17. They are achieving this by having better cooling sure, but also a less demanding GPU chip set. Its still a wonderful card just wanted to make clear that they are different in those aspects when it comes to heat production and power.
Why don't laptop manufacturers go for 1440p panels that often? They mostly give options between 1080p 120Hz & 4k 60Hz. People desiring for crisper visuals are forced to go towards the 4k route while compromising on refresh rate, & many applications don't properly scale on windows 10 at 4k yet (& I don't think that'll change anytime soon). They can just provide a 1440p panel with 120Hz refresh rate in the gaming laptops to satisfy everyone's needs
You have probably never experienced 144hz before. Compared that to 60hz is like night and day. And ultra settings work so much better on lower resolutions since the graphic card don't have to work to push all those pixels. I rather game on a 1080p 144hz panel than a 4k 60hz panel. If they can jam a 240hz panel in there, it's even better.
Excuse me sir Dave, but could you please do an updated version of this video on the M15... I watched your video on this a while back and decided that this is the laptop for me, with good cooling and whatnot. But recently, I have seen other RUclipsrs review this device and they say that it runs HOT.. Like very hot.. I live in a country with relatively warm climates.. Hence my added concern if ever I pick this up..
@@FlyingEndeavor the m15 does run hot indeed i recommend you go for m13 or m17 seeing as the regular m15 doesnt have nvidia graphics card but an AMD (which is just troll lol)
@@Mairesist Oh, you mean the AW 13 and AW17. For the AW13, I feel that it's display might be a bit too small for my taste. As for the AW17, I doubt I would be able to carry that around to work or outings everyday. I already have a Desktop PC for my more demanding gaming needs, I need something more portable. I have watched some recent reviews about the M15 and how some of the Tech reviewers did manage to curb the M15s Thermals through software such as Throttlestop. I am currently looking at other laptops that fit my needs such as the MSI GS63 and the ROG GL503, but deep down, I still want an M15. I am hoping that the upcoming I5 variant of the M15 would run considerably cooler as compared to the I7 variant.
@@FlyingEndeavor yes I mean AW 13 and 17, my apologies. And I´m currently having the same dilemma as you. Im choosing to buy a new laptop and I dont want the AW 13 because of the small screen and I also dont want the AW 15 cause it has AMD gpu and i5 cpu which is just horrible specs. Now that leaves me with m15 and AW 17. The m15 would seem perfect except for the heating problems and cheap keyboards. So even tho the AW 17 is quite big I guess imma have to go with this one cause better for it to be big than small and it seems to have no overheating problems. But I´m really stuck man, alienware has quite a limited options to go for and Im stuck between too small and too big lol...
Well I guess some of the major reasons why this laptop has better than expected cooling than their R-series models, are because: - There are fan intake vents at the top of the laptop, so there is no blocked airflow. Many other laptops including the R-series, get hotter and louder than they should, because of having only bottom intake vents. - In the R-series models, one fan was cooling only 2 of the 3 heatpipes, whilst the other one was cooling all 3 heatpipes. In this model, both fans are cooling all 3 heatpipes and nothing less. - The big issue of the high thermals in the R-series was the tripod screw heatsink mounting over the CPU, where the single screw side was not applying enough pressure to provide reliable physical contact to the CPU. It appears they have done a 4 screw mounting on this model, so it should provide more reliable contact to the CPU. Although the tripod design is now switched to the GPU, it won't be an issue as compared to the CPU.
Dave, am I reading the Firestrike monitor correctly at 04:46 - to the right it shows the temp of the CPU and GPU reach 100 Deg C and then throttling , clock rates go down . Can you tell me what caused that please?
OWNorDisown Nice eye there. Yeah, he didn’t keep that chart up very long so that spike was easy to miss; with that said, it seems it was occurring once the physics test began, which tells me that the heat pipes are still shared, and under a heavy stress test that kind of result could be worrisome. Also, that graphics score is pretty close to a non Max-Q 1070 isn’t it?
I just ran Firestrike in my Razer 15 GTX 1070 Max Q and got a graphics score of 16862 and total score of 14650. Yes, that point relates to the Physics test so FPS will drop - my CPU stays at 3900 Mhz and the CPU and GPU both at about 78 deg C. Although mine is repasted with liquid metal. I don't know what fan profile Dave is using on this as he doesn't say. It could just be auto fan and if he maxes the fan out it will bring the temps down but his show 100 Deg C and that is worrisome I agree.
Garbage thermals. Even my old r4 had terrible thermals without a laptop stand, even then it wasn't good. The charger also would get heat soaked in certain games unless it was suspended. Eventually failed in 2 years. Never again will I own an Alienware.
I like the Razer Blade 15 the most; the Zephyrus has poor battery life, as well as the others. Unless you want a laptop that is plugged in for the whole time, you should go with the Razer Blade.

Assuming more room is equivalent to better cooling is just wrong, when it comes to laptops the shear smaller size means it dissipates heat faster. I am pretty sure one of the opening points you had was all the metal in the construction, this would lead me to believe the laptop is probably just really good at removing the heat within the parameters of its frame.
I had the m15 2019 for 2 weeks and sent it back for the 2018 version due to the 2019 running hot also I got the 2018 with a 90WHR battery and it lasted on average around 6 hours which is great also the ram is soldered on in the 2019 version and it does physically look better but on Dell.com the 2018 is on sale and the way I had configured was 600 bucks off
@@alexatwood6205 I see! Well the config I am probably going to get is the i7 with the RTX 2060. Also I am planning to under volt the system so that I get better thermals. I don't mind the 16gb RAM all I am doing is light gaming and RUclips and web browsing. So I don't think I'll need more than that. I just live the design so much. If not I would have gone for the m15 R1 as well. The sale on it is incredible
dannyg3677 I have my own desktop at home so for me it was about getting something I could use for my computer science degree, it could last long and was built well, it was $1,187 retail and I think for having the 1060 and a 8750h isn’t great price to performance but I did get the bigger battery and since I got it I had to use the 512 NVME M.2 SSD if I didn’t have a dedicated machine I’d get the 2060 version but all things considered this was a great purchase for me
XPS 15 with GTX 1060 or even 1070 without thermal issues would be an instant buy for me, but that will probably not happen as Dell wants us to spend our money on Alienware instead. :(
Same, I bought a 9550 XPS 15 with the 6700HQ and a Nvidia GTX 960M back when it was new and have loved it since, but I wouldn’t mind some beefier internals.
Great Thermals? So...why is the CPU and GPU hitting 90C during a Fire Strike test and why is the CPU powerthrottling to 14200 points when it should score around 16000? If this is considered good for AW laptops, I would hate to see how other models perform...
@@MelvinKhosa true but only the gpu was stressed there...check out the last bracket where both cpu and gpu were used (like during gaming), it got destroyed when both cpu and gpu were used...not to mention that an Acer Aspire A717 costs a fraction of this laptop yet the 8750h there scored 14600 (it is also pwr throttling, but still it is throttling a bit less then this AW laptop which costs 2x more...and that is lame)
how about msi gs65? this seems to score higher than the gs65 on laptopmag. but nonetheless the built in powerful amps and dacs in the msi gs65 and the keyboard have sold me. plus it is thinner and lighter.
I think for a thin and light gaming laptop, hitting 90C for a single portion of Fire Strike is pretty good ... if you have these kinds of expectations for laptops especially, you’ll be disappointed.
Man you're videos are amazing, I've seen them for two years and I don't know why you're not on my subscribed list, I just can say sorry to subscribe late but I really love you're Chanel, I send u a strong hug from México
Alienware ain't what it used to be, it's still pretty good but it's also gone downhill. And the competitors have closed the gap a lot. You wouldn't regret buying a decent Alienware machine, especially if you've always wanted one, but these days there are other options and you could do better.
AlienWare gone downhill since Dell took over their company. If AlienWare weren't bought by Dell, Alienware would still be great gaming product industry though.
Had you gotten an Alienware PC almost 20 years ago you likely would have gotten a good product, now days they are like Razor... Just an overpriced brand name and poor quality. (Even more so now because Dell owns Alienware)
Quality is not really "that bad", it's actually still fairly good. Dell is a strong global OEM for good reason. But quality and performance is not as good as the Alienware brand (and the Alienware price) suggests it should be.
Big respect Dell, finally someone is focusing on the features that are *actually* important. especially for a fair price. Really hope to see some competition.
How could be ? They threated a line on Alienware. Poor Alienware because they be a victims since they were bought by Dell. Dell is like EA while Alienware is like Criterion Games that had been ruined by certain company. If Alienware were never be bought by certain company, their product would always be top tier and always better than Dell Alienware or any other PC brands.
Jasper Law They were definitely the independent company since 1996 - February 2006. These era were the good old days for Alienware and these era were when Alienware had being well known as one of the great gaming product they ever made and their tech support were good. My father had bought an Alienware Area 51 ALX in 2004 and it was beast back then and way ahead of its time. Worth to buy even it was expensive because they still had a soul on their power system and a real thing on their specs. Then in March 2006 they were bought by Dell. Such a mistake that happened on them they ever make. They think Dell would support them to another level, but they aren't. I say, Dell is the worst thing that happened on them. That's why many people become more hate on Alienware stuff since Dell owned them
Alienware gives you one the best perfomance for i7 8750h out of the box , some users dont care about the cpu hitting 100c, however if you dont like these thermals you are free to undervolt and decrease these temps significantly.Personally i like the option of getting something more powerfull and having the option of undervolting it myself for my own needs. I dont say that they couldnt do better with the thermals but even with these temps there are solutions to prevent that kind of situations, All in all i believe that thermal issues can be fixed and the fact that it has an aluminium body in such price with that perfomance and weight makes me actually buy that laptop and maybe undervolt it.
Before Alienware were bought by Dell, their project were incredible though. Back then, it was a real thing of Alienware and they still had a soul in their power system and magic in built their product that make AlienWare look awesome and their tech support were way better than Dell did on Alienware for their customer. Nowadays, it just a Dell XPS with different badge, and the magics gone.
Ryan Yang like I’ve been trying to explain to everyone this is a different laptop design than the other one that is overheating. If you compare the screens you will notice of this one is squared off in following the area 51’s design rather than the old design with much worse thermals. Two very different laptops with the same name I know it’s confusing
@@ThexDynastxQueen If you live in the UK, you can get this model online from Box & Laptopsdirect, they are both selling this model for £1,649.97, reduced from £1,999.99.

Adil Akhtar I hope he does a proper review on it. He made a video before, but he didn’t actually have access to the machine for that. He was pretty optimistic, so I’d like to see it he maintains that now.
Probably from alienware m15 users who are having thermal throttling which is a very common problem on the m15, which made me think why dave said it has good thermal solution.
I have the regular 17 R4 laptop bought on 12 2017. I use it for computational calculations and gaming and it isn't hot, even after 4 or 5 hours of hard computing, so they made a very good thermal on that model too :)
@@taimen6778 When your phone gets too hot, the CPU becomes slower to decrease heat. A ice pack would help with cooling, therefore letting the phone stay at a higher power
Sanju Singh Mma I'm really hopes that they don't use this standard They are known to be the widest mxm vga upgradeable laptop Msi and clevo doesn't have a world wide resellers
Son Pham dude you didn't know that Alienware and msi are the only famous brand who uses mxm gpu card that you can upgrade. for example m15x from 2009 have gpu mxm slot that give the laptop power to run an 980m 8gb despite its age. Unless you're completely normies about Barebone laptop and not aware about desktop replacement laptop like Alienware please shut up. Thin laptops like this lock your laptop and customization, max q series doesn't have the same power like it's counterpart non soldered afromented mxm gpu 1060 that Aetina released.
I Like this new Design. Its looks not that geeky anymore which is great! Its smaller and still has better cooling! The previous hinch design was ugly! Now its exactly what I wanted. But im gonna wait for the revision update next year with the GTX 2070 cards ;)
Nvidia has moved beyond the GTX series, they have moved on the the RTX series... And I'd wait like 4 years since there aren't any games on the market that even utilize them.
@@SilvaDreams i said GTX on purpose. Becouse I think they will Not include that Raytracing Part of the GPU in that mobile Part so its gonna be more efficient. RTX Cards cant Push FPS on PCs, so they will do hard on Mobile devices
Are we using different m15s? mine runs at 100 Celsius on games and throttles like crazy. Edit: I don’t know why but I seem to be getting higher frame rates than when I got it, may of been a software glitch?
@Pravit Reddy from what I found turning on the performance mode gets better performance as expected, however thermals will still be hot but by propping it up about an inch at the back really helps with the air flow. Just be careful with what material you use. I recommend metal. Ultimately you want to give the fans space at the bottom.
Will you be doing an updated video about the heat issues on this laptop? When watching this video a week ago I almost pulled the trigger in ordering this laptop. I mean it looks SEXY as hell. But. Then I noticed how many people are complaining about the CPU temperature and many people are mentioning your video, saying your high recommendation is why they bought it. But 100 Celsius constant is an abomination, and many are calling you a sellout. I truly enjoy your videos and while looking for a new laptop, sent many of your videos to my friends to show the why I wanted the laptops. But now, I’m not so sure. You may want to reconsider this video. My old Razer is wrecked because of the super high temps, which is why I can’t afford to get a laptop that runs this hot.
I wouldn't buy any gaming laptop now until 2070 or 2080 come with them. There are so many deals on gaming laptops now, that I would be surprised if it takes more than 1 month for 2070 laptops come out.
Yes exactly. Anyone that buys now with 10 series will be very upset when mobile 20 series come out in the next few months. Ill gladly wait till next summer with my 1060maxq g3. Once they come out with the 17in version with 9th gen cpus and 20 series gpus, THEN ill buy.
I feel like RTX is mostly for improvement of graphics not frame rate, and consume more power, of course gaming laptops aren't known for battery life but still it's nice to be able to carry it around. The 10 series already has good frame rates and improved battery life so a 20 series without improvements on battery technology is a no for me personally but to each their own needs.
@@yummiermussel5331 I have about 3,000$, still waiting for a new rtx 2070 laptop to come out, just want to see how thicc it will be and its performance ,also the design of the laptop. MSI laptops design like now are ugly for me.
@@TheKaMeLRo Yeah hopefully we dont get gimped gpus for the 20 series. But atleast the 9th gen cpus will be 8 core beasts. I can wait till next summer to get both upgrades and by that time the market should have plenty of options
I own one of these and I’ve gotta say, with a cooling pad this thing runs like a dream and I highly recommend it, you can do gaming sessions for up to 12 hours with ease, after that overheating might kick in, overall great 9/10 laptop
Great review! Would've loved to see the powerbrick mentioned though. After all you are carrying that around as well, so size and weight there does matter as well. This might replace my current desktop machine (want something I can take with me when needed and I don't need an overkill Desktop PC anymore).
Please don't encourage Alienware to go thin. The brand is that it's a gaming workhorse and a tank. Let it be like that. They need to improve thermal, and keyboard nothing more.
@@whyhe11othere just normally, set the processor rate to 90% in advanced battery settings which has helped a ittle bit, just looking now how to actually try undervolting lol
I've been between asus zephyrus m, zephyrus s and msi gs65 stealth for 3 months. But now with this m15 the decision is more complicated. Which do you recomment as the best?
I dont know which one to get too the thermal issue is killing me and i read people adding metal liquid paste to help seems Badass but im a noob and dont know how to that shit! You think if i took it to best buy they'd do it for me?
i have the asus zephyrus m. thermals aren't too bad, specially if you care about having a nice laptop cooler or fan close-by to help long-term your device. i love mine. powerful beast for sure. the m15 is still... alienware. over the years alienware has had some bad rep, more-so since dell bought them. but they are doing good now. personally? me and someone i know both bought the asus zephyrus m. we LOVE ours. i chose it over an alienware.
I would say that if you are all about performance and thermals then go with Asus Zephyrus line. If you care about battery then Zephyrus is out of the game and you are left with either Alienware m15 or Razer Blade 15 (Razer will be like 400$ more expensive tho...).
The glossy panel is perfect for me. Ive never seen any better display on that market for indoor use. My 1st Gen X18 outshines any other display that I had or have seen until the present day.
That gloss surrounding the display makes it look cheap. Also the whole design language isn't as classy as something like a Blade 15 or Aero 15x. AW should have changed the look to a more rectangular laptop with slimmer bezels and a smaller chin. This design language doesn't translate well into this thin and light space. And why no black version?
This is exactly what I'm trying to explain. It looks outdated af. Angular design with cheap glossy plastic. I can't imagine taking that laptop to work. I know that thermals are toasty but I would rather get Razer Blade 15 than this fugly laptop.
You are right. I should buy two right? Makes sense. One for work and another one for gaming. Thanks for the idea dude. You are a genious. I should get this and XPS on top of it.
@moo Are you fucking stupid or something? Just because it's a "gaming" laptop does that mean its only meant for games? No one is gonna use Word, or pay bills or use Excel or Powerpoint? There are places of business where you need to do other things than game and you need a laptop. And when you want to just bring it home and relax and play some games, you can do that. Things like the Blade 15 and Aero 15x are said devices. Professional enough to be brought to a workplace and serves double duty as a gaming device.
@melvinkhosa are you happy with your Aero 15x ? I heard some warranty issues with Gigabyte and also you must fresh install the windows as soon as you get it. Is it true? How is your experience so far?
Design is important. Just as important as a GTX 1080Ti. I rather have a thin and light laptop with an MX150 that has no throttling, great screen, great keyboard, great everything...then a laptop with a GTX 1080Ti, but laptop is designed poorly.
Games time to time (60 fps), a bit of 3D modelling, video editing. I will choose 4K screen. But I want it to last longer. I still have my hp 360 transformer (2016).
Remember that this one packs a 1070 maxQ. A lot slower than a regular 1070. I would have gone for the Alienware 17 r5 with 1070OC. It's a bit on the heavy side, but you get better performance, bigger screen for a better price. Great for content creation! Course you could wait for RTX, but the tech in that thing is experimental at best, and I'm guessing the price for having that in a laptop would be "pricey". Luckily you always have the option to go the E-GPU route with Alienware later on without losing any performance from the card cause of that proprietary PCI-E connection.@@capitancapitanov5654
I also noticed, having a Dell XPS L521X model...same trackpad. But Please let them have a Keyboard switch to turn it OFF instead of Disabling the Hardware device on Windows..... That's not nice from Dell (and Apple started it)
@sbcontt YT Go to a tech store and try out the XPS 15. It's a popular model so I'm sure they will have one on display. Trust me, 95% of Windows trackpads are rubbish and are a poor attempt.... but this, this is completely different.
Answer to the cooling solution, it has a max-q version of gpu. This gtx1070 is actually a slight lower clocked than the normal ones, that slight "declocking" give significatly lower heat generating. Thus allow them to have smaller chasis and smaller cooler but with slightly slower gpu performance . The gtx 1070 max-q is mostly likely performming between 1060 to 1070.
What camera and editing software/compressor is he using? This looks absolutely gorgeous on a 65" 4K HDR TV. No noise or banding in sight. Crystal clear.

@AbuBakr Akram Cool the machine so well? LMAO don't fall for Dave's or AW's bullshit. Pause the video at 4:46. Look at the temps. It goes up to 100c and you can see the framerate dropping. This is indicative of real world prolonged gaming sessions. Dave just showed the starting run of the Firestrike benchmark showing 79c and 80c.
@@MelvinKhosa Yes, but I believe that this is just a visual aid. Dave definitely goes through the entire test, and I believe he does multiple back to back (which is frankly what you're supposed to do to really get a sense of how much the machine can handle). The spike is concerning, I'll admit.
My old alienware 15 is still good. I've had a few issues but I still love it. Wish my Bluetooth driver didn't keep disappearing but I blame windows on that.

I would like that option! A good middle ground.
I guess asus rog has this
Can agree more 1080 too low for reading I want crisp font, and 4k is too much 1440 would be perfect.
75 Hz 1440p is my dream
144hz are Useless. Most games get 60fps in ultra so less hz are better

BTW Dave, however you manage to do the animation stuff at 1:37, it’s neat.
It is, mostly the CPU, check the Alienware subreddit.
+IA With a CPU that runs at around 100 degrees celsius, this thing would not last long in my nation.
Well I guess some of the major reasons why this laptop has better than expected cooling than their R-series models, are because:
- There are fan intake vents at the top of the laptop, so there is no blocked airflow.
Thanks for pointing that out! It went by so fast I missed it the first time! Can't wait to see your results when yours arrives :)
@@TabalugaDragon well what do you expect from a jackass
Asus GL504 vs Asus Zemphrus S vs Razor blade 15 vs MSI GS65 vs Alienware M15 vs Aero 15.
The Zephyrus will win against them all
I would like Dave Lee to answer that. It's the answer everyone wants to hear.
I like the Razer Blade 15 the most; the Zephyrus has poor battery life, as well as the others. Unless you want a laptop that is plugged in for the whole time, you should go with the Razer Blade.

THANKS DAVE LEE, good review.
I just purchased this model with *32GB* of ram priced at $1399 from Dell during the 2019 Black Friday sale.
PLEASE REVIEW THE NEW MID 2019 VERSION! I'M LOOKING TO PURCHASE AND I NEED YOUR THOUGHTS! You are the best laptop guy!

If not I would have gone for the m15 R1 as well. The sale on it is incredible
dannyg3677 I have my own desktop at home so for me it was about getting something I could use for my computer science degree, it could last long and was built well, it was $1,187 retail and I think for having the 1060 and a 8750h isn’t great price to performance but I did get the bigger battery and since I got it I had to use the 512 NVME M.2 SSD if I didn’t have a dedicated machine I’d get the 2060 version but all things considered this was a great purchase for me
Also have fun with your new machine!
I just hope dell brings better thermals to it's XPS 15 and puts a GTX 1060 in it.

I asked the exact same question !
Yeah I got what you were saying. I didn't pay attention to that part. Thanks for pointing it out.
how about msi gs65? this seems to score higher than the gs65 on laptopmag. but nonetheless the built in powerful amps and dacs in the msi gs65 and the keyboard have sold me. plus it is thinner and lighter.
I think for a thin and light gaming laptop, hitting 90C for a single portion of Fire Strike is pretty good ... if you have these kinds of expectations for laptops especially, you’ll be disappointed.

I've never owned an Alienware deskop/laptop, but I've always wanted one.
It’s too bad.
Alienware I heard was good.
I’m aware that Dell bought the company a little while ago. I didn’t expect quality to be that bad.

Didn’t know Alienware used to be an independent brand, I thought it was just one of dell’s product lines. Interesting!
Jasper Law
They were definitely the independent company since 1996 - February 2006. That's why many people become more hate on Alienware stuff since Dell owned them
You might research and dig deeper about Alienware history to find out about them. They were not bad back in the day
I may actually recommend Alienware now as a thin and light powerhouse

Nowadays, it just a Dell XPS with different badge, and the magics gone.

Great video. Awesome sounding laptop. Waiting for a comparison between M15, Razer 15 and HP Omen 15.

@moo I take my Aero 15x to work everyday and don't get weird looks from my colleagues. But I'd be embarrassed to take something like this to work.
Its seems people are more focused on the design of the laptop than the performance of it.
Design is important. Just as important as a GTX 1080Ti. I rather have a thin and light laptop with an MX150 that has no throttling, great screen, great keyboard, great everything...then a laptop with a GTX 1080Ti, but laptop is designed poorly.
I just wish the thermals were better. Apparently the thermals are better for m15
Should I get this or the 15 r4 🤔🤔🤔
Xeis Head I have the same question Dave
Thanks for the review. really helped me with the purchase decision. Bravo 👏👏👏
Excellent review. Shows everything you want to see, explain everything you need to know. Outstanding product! Thank you! :)
So, there is a question:
Which option?
1. This laptop
2. Wait for this laptop with RTX
3. 15" 2018
4. Wait for 15" 2019
what are you going to use the laptop for?

Capitan Capitanov 4k is bad for gaming speed, why would you want 4k? What's this obsession with 4k, it causes more low performance then good.
Is the 3d animation of the laptop at 1:50 inverted? The numpad is on the wrong place :|
How does he create that animation any clue ?

Keyboard and trackpad look straight off of the DELL XPS, which is a good thing lol.
I also noticed, having a Dell XPS L521X model...same trackpad. But Please let them have a Keyboard switch to turn it OFF instead of Disabling the Hardware device on Windows..... That's not nice from Dell (and Apple started it)
That is because they are... Alienware is owned by Dell
@@SilvaDreams Thank you genius
@sbcontt YT The trackpad on the XPS 15 is the best I've ever used. Feels better to me than the Macbook ones.
@sbcontt YT Go to a tech store and try out the XPS 15. It's a popular model so I'm sure they will have one on display. Trust me, 95% of Windows trackpads are rubbish and are a poor attempt.... but this, this is completely different.
Did you just upgrade your editor? Those visuals are really fresh!
1:27 This is legit xD
Where can I buy the lights that are in the background?
Cremonster I want to know this too!
Quasar Science Led Lights. Search it up
Only 16GB of RAM possible and no more... and that in the year of 2018...
32 GB is available I am pretty sure
32 GB is possible, go to de Dell website! And now, BUY ONE!!
@@Sica1000ok thanks you
Very good review, as usual. Please review the new M 17. Thanks.
What camera and editing software/compressor is he using? This looks absolutely gorgeous on a 65" 4K HDR TV. No noise or banding in sight. Crystal clear.
the moment you finish a long comment and realize it was for the wrong video and then delete it before you remember that copy paste is a thing
oh wait wrong video
Pro tip: CTRL + Z.
Demetre Saghliani CTRL + V also works. Iy just feels easier then pressing Z for me.
I am sorry Dave, I respect your work, but video titles like this one are incredibly off-putting.
Apelyn's Entertainment. Ehh. It is a legitimate question of his: how the heck did Alienware manage to cool this machine so well.
A *dėll*ided laptop
Got it?

My old alienware 15 is still good. I've had a few issues but I still love it. Wish my Bluetooth driver didn't keep disappearing but I blame windows on that.
Wow.. Amazed by your animation skills bro..
