It's one thing to get the song note for note, though you add your own basket of tasty twists and turns, my point is going past the technical accuracy, you captured the spirit of this art piece and put your own heart into it. The sign of true mastery. Great guitar players are a dime a dozen in the YT universe, but masters are hard to find. My utmost respect and awe to you sir!
Beautiful! Hard to believe I've been listening to this song over 54 years and it's as amazing now as it was then. Thanks for putting it up and showing how it's done. Really awesome playing!
That was Heart-Wrenching. You play a Strat like it was made for you. You can't deny the brilliance of the composition, but to be able to emote like that is a gift from God! You, my friend are a true artist.
The only way someone could have disliked this video is if they came here with negative intention before the video started playing. There was not a thing wrong with what's going on here. Very nice
This is some of the most original playing i have seen, i really admire your style. you have come a long way and i hope one day i could reach your level of comfort with the guitar and feeling of the music.
You've seen it in how many comment sections, how many times? Most under-rated video on RUclips. Top of the list. If you've got an ear, you know what I'm saying.
How does a video of this amazing caliber only has less than 200k views? Great job man. I will never get tired of watching this master piece. Keep doing what you are doing. You have inspire me to keep learning and working with strats. Cheers.
I love your finesse. I pay close attention to detail and at 58 seconds when you flick off the last harmonic... you did it with so much beauty... great cover man ;)
The white 84 ST62-115 with RW fingerboard just had the tone that melts me. The entire video and performance(s) are astounding. Please post more of your art.
Very nice. I really appreciate your own spin on it and you put what you know in to how you feel and it shows in the music you play. Well done indeed. As John Mayer says: “Dont just rip me off. Understand the structure and put your own style into it and you’ll be five times better than anyone else”, or words to that effect. I really dig this.
This is the most beautiful thing I've heard in my entire life. You have magic in your fingers, sir. Pure, beautiful, magic. Please teach me your ways. FINGER ME WITH YOUR MAGIC
jus d - Well, SRV is long gone and cannot play this exact song. Right? So, this guy is actually giving his personal touch to this magnificent song. It cannot be the same as SRV. Alike? Maybe. The same? Not. Because, he played it, not SRV. Smartass... ;-)
Not sure what you were listening to dude, but that was not exactly like the SRV version. It sounded like he was doing a cover of SRV and adding his own flair to it, and it was awesome.
That's it I'm hangin up my Strat. just when I thought I was a wee bit better than yesterday I had to come in here and listen to this . Loved the crisp and solid sound of the first one ( 82 sunburst ). What type of wood was the guitar made out of?
You have some serious chops bro. The licks you improvise are spot on Hendrix. And that tone is eargasmic... I hope to one day be even half the player you are. I watch your videos daily for a shot of inspiration, keep it up!
Hey man, Im from Brasil and I higly doubt that there is anyone from here that views more your video than me. Just wanna thank you for this masterpiece! Love this song and your harmony. Use everyday to keep me focused at work. Thx again man!
Excellent! I like how you didn't try to stay note for note - making it your own, so to speak...SRV would definitely approve cause that's what he did with the original...made it his own. Nice job. All the Starts sound great, too btw...
I was looking for ages for a longer version that has a little more Jimi in it than the Stevie Ray Vaughan version; this is fucking awesome, great work. The little piece at the end sounds straight outta Machine Gun or something too. Love it!
I'm not touching my guitars for a little while until I let this video sink in a bit. Absolutely awesome. Your salmon Strat brings back memories of Gary Moore to me. RIP. Hope you post more.
Amazing cover. Love the improv and extensions, brilliant everything. I can't pick a favorite of the guitars, each I loved. The first sunburst/rosewood had a great attack and vibe to it...the second (white/maple) had a really nice smoother sound, maybe with the tone rolled back a little. I just love how you pounded on the red one!The sunburst/maple had a lovely gentle brightness to it. For looks, I'd say the sunburst/maple, and sound wise the last one (white/rosewood) may have to be my favorite. It had the smoothness of white/maple with the attack of sunburst/rosewood (and plus it looks like my Squier). Never stop jamming!
I have watched this video atleast 20.times a day since I discovered it. It has talked me off the edge a few times....PLEASE.COME BACK FOR.GOOD W MOREEEEE
Love the amazing soul u put into yr playing man. it reminds of all my biggest influences such as srv, jimi, albert, John mayer. U are incredibly good and u need more videos on youtube.

It's Kfir ???
The soul behind this song always gets me, especially when somebody plays it well like this!
Jimmy's greatest masterpiece in my opinion brother and then Stevie Rays cover did it justice by extending it and letting the guitar do the singing
It's one thing to get the song note for note, though you add your own basket of tasty twists and turns, my point is going past the technical accuracy, you captured the spirit of this art piece and put your own heart into it. That was Heart-Wrenching. You play a Strat like it was made for you. You can't deny the brilliance of the composition, but to be able to emote like that is a gift from God!

That was seriously one of the best little wing jams i have ever heard. Absolutely great. Inspiring work man. Thanks for sharing.
That was funny at 5:19 hey man you need to be on a stage with a live band so these 52000 people can come see you. Just amazing.
This is some of the most original playing i have seen, i really admire your style. you have come a long way and i hope one day i could reach your level of comfort with the guitar and feeling of the music.

I bought a 1987 Fender Japan Contemporary Strat back around 2013, and it's been my go-to Strat ever since. I can't imagine a better guitar.

Milos how does srv not playing it mean it's not the same? So I can cover Texas flood lick for lick and then call it my own. Yaaaaaa you are stupid
justin Harigyna Did you read at all our comments? I mean, what we were talking about?
I've changed my mind. It's THE best. I love how you gave every part your own great twist.
Thanks again!
Not over using SRV's licks. Got your own groove, well done.
Excellent ! So many dynamic techniques you have at your fingertips
That's it I'm hangin up my Strat. just when I thought I was a wee bit better than yesterday I had to come in here and listen to this . Loved the crisp and solid sound of the first one ( 82 sunburst ). What type of wood was the guitar made out of?
all these were made out of alder wood
Cheers for the info. mate and a big up to the way you navigate your fingers around the master's master piece.
