I just ordered 1. I think i will make a few sheaths for it both kydex and leather. Im suprised how many people want to draw it underhand. With how slender it is there will be no problem penerating with an upright grip and it still leaves you cutting options. I think im going to like this 1. Thanks for the review
I got one of these because I saw it here on your channel (2 yrs ago) and it caught my eye real quick, and I gotta say... I really like it but like you said I hope to never have to use it.
Just ordered one. Had it in my cart for a while because I loved the look and finally ordered it. I'm a big fan of small utility type edc's for my work and this one looks good for that.
Yes! Love this whole set of lil neck knevils. I’m fiddling with the Pikal gripped c1150 right now. Fantastic company and doing pretty well on Amazon apparently. Thx broski 👍🏻
Very well said. 👍👍 I agree 💯. I can't afford to have knives that just lie around looking pretty 😍. They've got to work & earn their keep. Thank you for the review! Subscribed 👍
Agreed. I'm picky with my blades so I need to try out a few before I find the right 1 and I can't afford to do that with high dollar knives. Also I know that if I like it that means I will carry it and use it wich also means I will lose it eventually. So it has to be a price point I can afford to get a backup for when that happens
I have the same knife also purchased from Amazon but it's made Masalong and everything seems the same even the price and I really like it the sheath on it holds great and I took off the back clip and some Paracord and made it into a neck knife and I'm really happy with it!
Ever tried out an ulti-clip or soft loops (sometimes called beta loops, with directional snaps)? I like tech lock mounting clips too, but I've really grown to appreciate those others for how light and low profile they are. Tech locks like you mentioned don't always work for every belt, and they can be a bit cumbersome and cause a sheath to print. Check em out. Thanks for the video! You did a great review.
Thanks my friend! you have inspired me to take one of my discreet carry concept clips that are very similar to the Ulticlip to try on this. I really like these Canku blains
Nice video, Bought a Canku "stinger". I usually carry horizontal, like the position and grip readiness that orientation provides. great Vid. Just wish I could find a better, closer fitting sheath.
Happy new year 🍻 Dang that’s a nice blade, shame I can’t get that via Amazon... Similar to the Bastinelli Picoeur & Benchmade SOCP series but at a much more reasonable price🏆 Always wanted an SOCP but it’s a lot of $$$’S for very basic 440 steel.
Sweet blade there sir. Personally it has a lot of elements in terms of EDC that I like... gets my mind working, lol. Interesting point to note, which I'm sure is relevant considering that the blade is geared to be more point centric... Is that in terms of "wound factor" it would be harder from the perspective of a trauma surgeon to mend than let's say a slash or cut (*generally speaking). Crazy to think about, I know and very cringe worthy but my reason for saying is that often times a smaller blade tends to be underestimated. Thanks for the video🙂
Nice review. Everytime I see that knife I'm thinking a pair of scissors is missing a side...:) I agree with you that is comfortable to carry and easy to deploy are important factors on deciding on which knife. Same holds true for firearms(S&W EZ 9 mm for example). It's an added bonus when you can carry a knife in a way that doesn't make civilians nervous when you're in a populated area. Like you I don't like spending a lot of money for a knife, so when I see a good review on a knife that's below $50 I sit up and pay attention. Keep up the good work..:)
Great video bud ... I love this knife and I have a bunch of high dollar knives as well.... Just a heads up..... This knife isn't advertised as a throwing knife, but it is perfectly balanced for throwing and can easily be stuck into the trunk of a tree an 2-3" deep.... Just an unbelievable product for the price.... I've ordered 4 more of them.....

Not sure if this is common knowledge - this is a copy of the much pricier Bastinelli version. Ccanku does a few (blatant) copies of Bastinelli- the Pika, the Picoeur, the Kalinou etc. The genuine Bastinelli knives are scary sharp, the cut tests for the diminutive Pika are just brutal - goes through a denim wrapped pork loin like a scalpel from hell. And they are very nicely made with premium steels, they feel expensive. The sheaths are just so-so, nothing exciting. The Ccanku are nearly 10% of the price, and are a great value. D2 is no super steel, but for a dedicated defensive blade it works well and will hold a razor edge until you need it. You get a good teklok style clip, a decent sheath, and good materials - all for under $30. Imho, that’s a win. Thanks for posting, I like the ‘upside-down’ carry position! Hadn’t thought of that.
Just came across Tctbnl's review of this knife and looked really interesting. Was curious if you had a review, 'cos you've really become one of my go-to's now, and lo-and-behold, lol! $200 for a blade is insane. But a $30 knife makes me happy. I've been shopping on Amazon and recently SKKW in Tennessee. Smoke mountain knife works the largest knife store in the world.
If you are wondering…. It is worth every penny. Buy with a Ulticlip 3.3 Slim Do NOT buy the “Silver” one, they don’t grind the edges correctly on them. The “Black”and “Green” ones are excellent but do to the lack of contrast in edge to blade on the silver ones they have been ground incorrectly on each one I’ve gotten.
I’m mostly in the woods so the expensive knives I haven’t gone over $70 ever but understand for and finish and beauty costs if you want to spend a couple thousand it’s ok but I’m getting a gun for that price instead of a knife but I understand collecting and the art of it all .
Full drop shut and push flipper is excellent . I got the natural sea green one but the gray or tan or whatever color looks so good . Yeah I like every time I pick up a 335 . Good luck . For $30 I also liked the ganzo neformat adimante . Those two knives in particular out of all of them . Well , a ganzo 720 adjusted just right for $20 is also a steal . I’ve had one for years now in the woods and it’s 440 c and a beast . I pay zero attention to the type of steel on a blade . At least 8cr like kershaws I ve never had a problem with . Not sure what all the fuss is about ?
Hey buddy. I'm curious how it feels in the hand with blade up and your finger on the spine? Think of opening up a fish. That long fine point would work well as a bird and trout knife, assuming you can hold it properly.
I think that would work well actually👍👍 the length of the blade is the exact length of the average male hand (Tip of the middle finger to the wrist). The blade is pretty short but it’s easy to get your hands around in many positions
@@411Outdoors Honestly buddy, I rather leave that to the imagination.😉 How is the transition from handle to blade? Your hand won't ride up the blade from a hard thrust?
The issue with that design is that in the heat of the moment if you pull that knife and you don’t have a finger through that ring when you go to shiv someone. You will more often times then not cut yourself with that knife. There is no portion of the blade that drops down that would keep your hand from sliding up onto the blade especially if you struck bone. Flip side to that is if chop my finger off to save my life too.
Indeed that's why you gotta train, but either way if u grab instantly without putting your finger on the ring you can put your finger on the ring after you brought it out instantly or as you are bringing it out or as soon as you grab it but if you do it as soon as you grab it then you run the risk you speak of.
