Suffocation is Legendary! Been listening to these guys since the mid 90s. They have pretty much always had this sound. They pretty much created "slam", or at least influenced it. Pierced From Within is my favorite album, just a perfect mix of brutality and technicality but still has hooks to grab you. They're also absolutely intense live, one of the craziest shows I've ever experienced. Great reaction like always man, welcome to the world of Suffocation! 💀🤘
I concur good sir… I’ve seen everything from korn and slipknot through to all the major extreme metal/core bands and I must say suffocation had the most intense pit I’ve ever been in or witnessed… absolute fucking carnage! Cool dudes too…
So glad your ear cherrys have been popped with Suffocation, amazing band, been in love with them for years. Definitely hit the discography 🤟, yes they have always been this brutal. Souls to deny is one of my top death metal albums of all time, was one of my first intros to death metal.
He’s more a deathcore guy. Not anything wrong with that at all. But majority content is deathcore or related. Not to much death metal straight up or brutal death. I mean I love some deathcore but it’s insane how ya never heard suffocation before 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

Guy sounds like a vocal harmonizer hes so gutteral. In album linears back in the day, some bands took pride in writing "no0 vocal harmonizer or studio alterations are present on this recording." We have come a long way.
