Packing for your fears is a real problem. That can be alleviated by doing shake down hikes where you see what you actually need rather than what you think you might need
Richie ended up with Sawyer Squeeze and I ended up with Lifestraw Peak collapsible bottle. I had been using hydroblu versa flow which I will repurchase. It’s not as fast but is more convenient for filtering large amounts of water.
Thank you for this information. These vids are just as helpful as your trail videos 👍
Thanks for the feedback. Glad they’re helpful.
Very helpful hints. To be so focused as to not taking stuff "just in case". We still haven't refined - less is more!

Lol, Chinese water torture!! Too funny! Once again, tx for answering these questions, it's really informative!
Thanks.
Great post trip videos. Thanks to you and Richie for going to the trouble of doing these. What water filter system did you end up both using?

Just want to say - i cant look at green round hay bales any more without thinking about that joke!! 😅🤣
My job here is done! 😂😂😂
What rain jacket did you use.
Macpac traverse
@@freedom_on_the_trail thanks 😊
My pleasure
Just remind me, no rain pants at all, even cold winds? Well done not getting sick, bugs don’t like healthy people.
I did use leggings on really cold days but I didn’t really have issues with cold legs that much. It was more about keeping my core warm.
@@freedom_on_the_trail from what I can see, you lost alot of core 😆
😂😂😂 and I’m not as warm anymore as a result of it.
