When choosing omega or alpha, I thought groundon was better, what I didn’t realise is that every other game specific legendary favourite was on alpha

Tbh every game after ultra moon to me has been crappy or meh iam just really mad they removed mega pokemon. Although not everyone liked Z stones but I love that more then the Big pokemon in sword and shield I have not bought a pokemon game after ultra moon
If you accidentally knocked out a legendary, simply refight the champion and any failed legendaries will respawn.

For all of the people complaining that he used his master ball once he got groudon to yellow, he did this because he had one Pokemon left which was sceptile, having a weakness to primal groudon. He probably did not want to have to do that again, so to prevent risks, he used his master ball.

well I can't blame you for your carefulness now, can I? lol
I had to do the same thing... Literally used 40+ ultra balls, and prob 20 others, and the entire time I was spamming potions, revives when he rested, and using shit like Storm Throw to get him low... But he had just 1 of my pokemon left(Mega Swampert) with around 50 hp, I had no revives left, and he had a sliver of hp left so I said "Fuck it" and used the Masterball.

Caught Groudon after: 5 premieres, 15 ultras, 20 greats, and 6 or 7 pokeballs thrown in for fun. I was running low, on all and had the flying legendary, Latios tanking, who was doing great, flying above his ground moves. I stabilized and was curing the burn and using moomoo milk for hp. Groudon had run out of "rest" and was low on hp so I was just rotating b/t my remaining balls, while, debating if I was going to restart the game or use the masterball when he stuck in a pokeball!! hahh!
God I hate mirage spots. Whatever happened to the big badass boss pokemon just waiting for you? What? We couldn't do that?

GamerWalkthroughs101 I think you're missing the point of one of the things that made legendary encounters so special in the original pokemon games.
owlflame The reason for mirage spots is likely due to the unreleased Hoopa. Based upon the theater poster for the next movie, I suspect it'll be released with that movie. The reason for the mirage spots is that basically Hoopa is transporting them from their region to Hoenn. Read Hoopa's pokedex entries and I bet you'll think it's a pretty solid theory.

Man I still remember when I first discovered the regi trio. I was 11 and I had to figure that shit out by myself. It took months to find out that text was Braille. Then I actually painstakingly translated the text one by one to find the message. To my surprise, there were 3 brand spanking new Pokémon I’ve never heard of in my life. Looking back, young me was pretty clever but why didn’t I think to simply fuckin google what all this crap was about lol

This is the whole fun of the game you're doing it right. The harder the puzzle the more satisfying the solution. I played all the Pokemon games before ORAS like that, just following walkthroughs and let's plays... I didn't even have confidence to pick my own 6 Pokemon to fight with so I'd pick what people recommend. I finished all those games but none of them felt satisfying in the end. ORAS is the only game I went into blind and I'm glad I did.

Your incorrect with Groudon/Kyogre and also Deoxys's.
It's okay to K.O. them during the main game, rematch the Elite 4 and Groudon/Kyogre will respawn in the Cave of Origin while Deoxys's respawns atop the Sky Pillar.
And I would assume all the other legendaries would respawn also just by rematch the Elite 4, through I'm not 100% sure on that.

Did anyone else notice? There were more Sinnoh legendaries of all! Sinnoh remake confirmed?
Think about it. First there was a gen 1 remake, then, one for gen 2, and now, one for gen 3. See the pattern. Gen 4 remake CONFIRMED!

Sinnoh remake is pretty much innevitable but it will definitely be another generation or two before it happens

Helpful tip that I never knew about until seeing it first hand is if you're trying to catch one of those time based legendary pokemon like the lake trio, if you go into the cave and get the dialogue, as long as you don't leave the cave or island you got the dialogue from then they won't disappear when the time runs out. You can just save when you get there and challenge that legendary anytime and if you just leave and return to the location at a different time or day you can get the other time based legendaries. Something I wished I knew sooner that I didn't have to rush and think if I don't catch it by today or this hour I'll have to wait again. Just make sure to save after getting the text hinting at their appearance
Second day of looking for Cresselia, i find it. Then, the first ultra ball catches it.
Skill isn't necessary if you're outrageously lucky.

First try, throw Quick Ball at Rayquaza's face - caught.
Deoxys appears (didn't expect that)

Sumpex, use earth quake, Sumpex use strength - left it at 1 pixel health (phewwwwww)

This was so incredibly lucky. I was willing to give up my master ball for Deoxys

A important note about Regigigas, it will only challenge you in the daytime, along with all the previous requirements.

Edit: I had Groudon, Latios, Rayquaza, Virizion, Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, Cobalion, Terrakion and i remember encountering Reshiram but i don’t remember if i caught him or not.
Legendaries I ported over from other other games are: Yveltal, Zygarde, Moltres and Zapdos.
