In 1996, PlayStation game company Psygnosis created wipE'out"2097. An initial, instrumental version of this song was on that soundtrack. I've loved it for 28 years!
Firestarter was released 28 years ago and became The Prodigy's first single to reach number 1 in the UK charts. It also became a worldwide hit and probably remains their most popular song, albeit arguably not their best one. It's been covered by many artists, used in movies, ads, and has been so popular, that it was included in the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics as a significant part of British culture. The band is still active, although the singer, Keith Flint, sadly left this world 5 years ago. After a 3-year hiatus following his death, the remaining members of The Prodigy began touring again. During their shows, they play a remixed version of Firestarter and project his moving silhouette onto the stage with lasers as a tribute.
Hard to believe that you picked this song to react to. Not many do. It’s very powerful but if you weren’t around listening to them and clubbing back then it’s hard to appreciate just how influential The Prodigy were in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Their music is perfect for the club scene, for raving. A few minutes of a pre-packaged song for an MV doesn’t do them justice but it’s all we’ve got. Unfortunately their greatest raver came with a MV that was so crazy X rated YT banned it. The song is called “Smack my Bitch Up.” and mostly is just rave music and beat. Compared to most music today the lyrics are kids friendly. But the MV? Whoa. It can be found on Vimeo in full unedited and uncensored form but it’s a wild ride for sure. Once in a while reactors try it and they end up having to blur out more than 50% of the entire MV. But it kind of defeats the purpose to react to it without showing it. It’s one of those where the MV needs to be seen - at least as much as possible. 😮😊
Keith Flint, RIP legend

Breathe is there second best song in my opinion
@@straight-glass9422 For me, Breathe is their best tune and Firestarter is their 6th best.
