So I have misophonia and sniffling induces uncontrollable rage and discomfort in me, but I also need to listen to Louie. What a rollercoaster of a video
question... is strength speed equal to dynamic method? or is this max effort? he is talking about 75% to 85% at top at about 50% at bottom. confused.... i usually use 50 to 60 percent total with bands for dynamic effort.... so im really want to know.. please someone give some input. thanks
Speed strength is developed moving a barbell .7 to .9 meters per second. This is using the weight that is 75-85% of an individual’s one rep max. He is talking about 50% in bar weight and an additional 25% increase in band tension at the top of the squat.
Strength speed is something a little different (iirc 60% bar weight + 60% band tension or something crazy like that). The past couple of years they’ve been using 50, 55, 60% over 3 weeks but 33% band tension or chain weight for dynamic effort/speed strength on squat. Then for bench 40% bar weight + 30% band tension/chain weight for the 3 weeks has been popular.
