- Monster Energy Supercross and FIM Motocross World Championship news in one place! This is your one stop show for motocross news from around the world because, remember, there is interesting stuff happens everywhere.
This week's episode features a handful of updates, after an eventful conclusion to the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross series. Adam Cianciarulo and, potentially, Dean Wilson raced in the series for the final time in Salt Lake City, but how do their careers compare? Well, they are remarkably similar! Enjoy a comparison of those two before jumping into insight into from Justin Cooper and Gavin Towers on what their respective futures hold.
Elsewhere, the riders in the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship are preparing for another mud race. The weather forecast for the Grand Prix of France, held at the fabulous St. Jean d'Angely circuit, leaves a lot to be desired. Will that prompt Jorge Prado to relinquish the red plate once again? Perhaps.
Remember that interesting stuff does indeed happen everywhere! If there is news that you would like to see in this video, reach out in the comment section below. Thank you for watching and your continued support of this new feature. Спорт
Wilsons downfall was trying to bully tomac. Tomac took him out, messed deans left shoulder up, dean was never the same afterwards.
That’s exactly what happened to Wilson
That’s the dam truth
@Biffbaker yup. He was never the same after that. Actually think it was his right shoulder. Said left in original comment. Pretty sure they were coming out a right hand turn. I'll have to go watch it now and see.
@@Biffbaker yeah it was his right shoulder. Not left like I said in the original comment.
@@MichaelAMyers1957 I always thought it was the knee he blow out just after he joined KTM that was the killer but maybe this set that path in motion 🤷♂️
Eh, if you go back and watch Tomac was giving it just as much as he was taking it. I'd say the real killers were his first ACL tear and him signing with JWR
I saw a Vital MX post comparing stats with Dean Wilson. Adam was more of a natural rider on the bike than Dean ever was. Dean seems to be a combo of talent & grit that worked hard to stay after it. Had Cianciarulo not had the problem with his thumb and grip on the bike... he would have won a lot more. Too bad because imo, AC9 was one of the top most natural pro dirtbike racers I've seen in the last 50yrs. Jean Michel Bayle, Ron Lechien, Johnny O'Mara, David Baily, Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart, Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson, Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence. I think Michel Pichon and Adam Cianciarulo would be the other two most natural on the bike guys I recall. RC4 is still the Goat, but I see him as the David Goggins of moto, and just straight up out gritted the record books... no motocross rider I've ever known or seen... I raced with LaRocco and several legends from mini b, mini a, through 125 b & 125 a, and two main esx rds I lined up for. But no rider ever worked as hard to win at moto than Ricky Carmichael. Then there are guys that overcome less natural talent with harder work ethic... I can't say I know the approach one of my current favorite most natural racers out there, #21 Jason Anderson. But I believe if he finds more stamina/endurance, and cleans up starts to be consistent top 5 out of first turn... than I really think his talent can run with Jett. But when you look at Jett with his natural talent, athletic build, youth, bike/team, and work ethic plus a coach mentioned above... That's a formula obviously hard to top. So many legends not even mentioned here. But as AC9 walks away from SMX, he walks away with tremendous respect for his effort to grit past the pain and fight to improve. Any motocross athlete knows many homies and ourselves that understand from experience how moto injuries happen and they stack up back to back season to season... We mostly grit & rip past it! But we all come to the reality of backing off the throttle and off the racing circuits... Amateur or Pros... motocrossers know what it means to go wfo! Adam was wfo with the flow moto bros! We'll be seeing AC9 star still shine... just not on the starting line. 🤘😎🏁
Unfortunately he wound up on the Kawasaki team which is almost guaranteed to turn a promising young rider into a partial cripple by age thirty. Hopefully Kitchen can escape Kawasaki relatively unscathed like Shimoda did.
No one reading all that
@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 what is it that you think Kawasaki is contributing to young riders with them getting tore up with injuries? Could it be the riders? Or do you know something else? I see every team put high expectations on their riders.
@@ridemx323 I was writing this for Adam, not you. Either way, 10 people appreciate my 1.5 min to read.
@@ridemx323I did
Thats really weird Star is dropping Justin cooper
Jcoop will be the #1 guy for STAR in MX at least. 🤷♂️🤘
😄 true.
Dean and AC are the real ones!!!!!
Great Show 💯!
Watching from Australia! 🇦🇺
So crazy to think that adam never won a 450 main event
He won the 450SX monster energy cup in 2019 his first ever race on a 450. I still consider that a 450 main win 😁
Ya it's so sad to see him go he is so talented and if it wasn't for I think it's his wrist that doesn't allow him to really show what he can do
It would be cool to see Justin Cooper get Adam's ride on monter kawasaki
Thank you for Always giving a update on Mxgp would it be possible to give weekly updates on GNCC
Husky should absolutely throw a big offer to jcoop and steal him off star.
Thanks bro! Love your content
All the star yamaha 250 guys are all becoming clones
Adam won the Monster Energy Cup in his debut race in 450SX class. Is that not a supercross win? It was a race on a supercross track.
It’s not counted towards total wins or other statistics officially by AMA.
@@vitalmx dang!
Kudos to Lewis for using “scuttlebutt”….!
Jettson to dominate for the next 10 yrs?
Prado: Hold my Sangria.............
Is Prado definitely going to kawi next year? If not I could see JCoop ending up there or possibly rockstar husky
Prado to Kawi is certain.
@@vitalmxWow! I was not expecting that. Should be interesting.
The Gavin towers thing is weird
Star would be making a big mistake if they let JCoop go
really? you'd take JC over Webb or Tomac? they like JCoop. That's the only reason he's the only factory team with a THIRD 450 rider. it really is just a numbers game atm. And JCoop cannot compare with Tomac or Webb in terms of (pardon the pun) Star Power.
I can't make my mind up about Justin Cooper. He gets good starts and then goes backwards after faster riders pass him.
Kawasaki should pickup J coop that would be cool to see.
you need a new weather app.. it doesnt look bad for St Jean
Hopefully those two young guns in futures class get a ride with the top teams, Adams and Davies.
I'm with you, but I don't want to see them rushed to the pros this year. there's something to be said for dipping your feet into MX before SX, I'd rather see them do the more traditional thing of going pro at the end of MX after amateur nationals.
love the move of bridging the gap in pro moto and mxgp content
"Flying at the test track" What you did there, We see it. 😂
Towers is 19 and from the interview just sounded like he was waiting for a fill in ride for outdoors if he was to stay in US. Why not try ride for a satellite team or show up as a privateer and make your own luck ?
has he even gone pro yet? I think he needs another year at loretta's. I know he won, but he kinda backed into his win last year, and there isn't a lot of room for him on the main circuit this year. KTM/YAM/KAW are more likely to support him at the top of the A class than an also ran in the pros.
Wasn’t wilson’s downfall the fact he was British? And either got stuck or couldn’t get into Canada for a supercross round?
Maybe that’s was actually his current team manager?
Flying at the test track is code for gonna blow it.
J Coop should go to Kawi
Is this a new show? Also why is Lewis talking so slowly? Just seemed laboured to take in that cadence
We've been doing this show for about two months now. - ML
@@vitalmx oh shit I’ve not seen them haha! Seems to be a condensed news version of the SX race review pod and the mxgp pod? Is that what this is for? So people don’t have to watch both podcasts in full?
@@LKnight32 There's a lot in the pods that isn't in here, this is just more like news and important stats floating around each week. Main rumors and discussion points aren't in here. There's a small amount of crossover but not a ton. - ML
@@vitalmx I really like the changes you’ve made to Vital in the last couple of years! Hiring Lewis was a stroke of genius! Keep up the good work!
J Cooper need to join bam bam an let the NY boy go have fun
Money move on Cooper. He knows Tomac’s coming back and he knows Tomac’s salary isn’t getting cut. So he’s got Star where it hurts. He want go nowhere if they up his pay. Might of as well. I do think he’s one of the future speed guys that you don’t want to lose. I’d keep JCoop and let a few 250 guys go if needed.
Star should slim a couple 250 riders and keep Justin cooper for 3 more years.
Hope eli and coops FUMS get better
Dean Wilson got screwed by Jeff Ward racing
Justin cooper will get a great 450 deal and he’ll prolly get a better deal then what star is gonna offer him and a team change might be better n I say that bc star has a lot of riders they already making budget cuts by letting go like half thier 250 guys for next season snitch is leaving n a few other ansti is comin in tho
Their 250 team size will be similar next year, they let go of two riders and one is moving on…then they brought on two new ones. They’re still sitting on a six man 250 team for 2025, potentially seven.
Actually A.C. was winning in MX until a doctor screwed him.
Actually lot of the older riders are holding up younger riders Anderson has not raced well for 2 years Eli didn't race that good this year Actually It's time for them to retire and let the young bucks move up.
And as for Smith and RJ and Max they need to move on and race riders their age. The both have camped out in the 250 class racing kids 10 years younger then them. That's like the guys run against girls in track so they can just win.
Tomac and a major injury and one of the greatest ever... he will be fine Anderson yes he's trash but Tomac and Anderson are Two different levels. But Jordan Smith needs to go he's to old for 250 and not good enough for 450 same with rj
Sounds like the young guns gotta learn how to pass the old guys if they are truly “holding up” the young riders.
you could argue that the old guard are taking up factory rides that younger riders need in order to take the next step. however, you could also argue that the reason there are so many older riders filling the factory rides is that there's a dearth of riders in the 20-25 year old range with the talent/speed to get it done in the 450s. it really is just Sexton right now. everyone else is nearing or at 30. and of them, only Webb looks like he's capable of consistently running up front. as is the case with older riders, ET3, Kenny, JA, etc., they show top notch speed occasionally/sporadically, but they cannot do it with relative consistency or for the duration of a main event. /2cents
@daneg eli is coming over a serious injury... he will be back to his old self next year.... rj, Smith and all the old 25+ year olds can't get it done in 450. They are the problem not eli, Kenny and Anderson
@@staryotes it's almost like I said that without the bias.
Sexton's win wasn't that impressive, no Tomac, injured Webb, Jett mailed it in.
Not the point. His starts are improving and he is waking up on the bike. Just watch what happens outdoors...
@SgtSyphilis69 Jett is in his head. He over-rides to try to stay with Jett and crashes.
@@SgtSyphilis69 the starts are improving. he's more comfortable on the bike. he couldn't pull away from Justin Cooper. sorry. that last bit was flashing in the back of my mind the whole race. and fwiw, I'm rooting for Chase. I've come around on him. I like Jett, but I root against him basically b/c he's clearly better than everyone else (it's like Tiger Woods vs. the field in his day). anyway, my point is that I'm not hating on Chase. it was a legit win. it just didn't make me feel he would be as competitive with Jett in MX as he was in SMX (where he was faster or as fast in 2/3 rounds).
Lewis, talk normal.
austrians. oye!
All respect to Deano but he wasn't beating Tomac for that 250 title straightup even if he didn't hurt his shoulder. He was never really "the guy" speed wise but AC was THAT DUDE so nit picking certain stats to say they are the same rider is just click baiting but here I am typing about it so who won here really?
amerikan computer voice please. FJB!!!
If im star I’m letting towers walk, how tf u gonna get worked by a 15 yr old for the whole futures
whats up with this pre game bs? this is raceing not a ball game. sounds so stupid calling it a pre game show.
Lewis’s voice is putting me to sleep 😴
everything you said was bull sh!t no way in hell Justin cooper will be a top 3 guy ever and the real reason chases starts were so bad is he was coming out the gate in first gear (guess the ktm is underpowered )
Right Justin will never be a top guy ever
This dude is probably the worst media guy in the business
Why?
No, your thinking about Cooksey. The bait and switch sensational bullshit he does is unwatchable.
*taught.
I taugh chase how to ride like that
Good. Now teach him how to get a jump on that pumpkin
