That's a good point about aiming for the chest- professional soldiers and cops are usually trained to aim for centre of mass, IIRC, because its an easier target to hit, even though a head shot is a more reliable kill.

Also, Thanos' likely has Hulk level toughness of skin, at least in the MCU canon. Iron had to slam him demolition style to get a single drop of blood. It worked on his henchmen, but likely wouldn't work on Thanos.

I just watched your video and I would like to add a point to the fight happened in the moon with strange and thanos. I guess the point why strange saw only one timeline as their win because its not about Thanos. The real threat is the power of the gaunlet. After killing Thanos whomever gets the gaunlet might cause more damage on God level without realizing it. Even Tony stark could cause more damage than Thanos. Thanos's damage could be reversed because he focused on removing souls from universe so anyone could bring the souls back. Only in this timeline Thanos destroyed the original stones so that no one could use it.
Doctor strange cutting Thanos arm off should have been in the movie because for one reason: Thanos could not use the space stone because his gauntlet hand was open by the cloak of levitation. 2nd reason: how would the reality stone protect Thanos from strange if Thor damaged Thanos by his axe!?!
“Why didn’t he go for the chest?” I can answer that! The chest- well, with us humans is where the heart is, you can instantly kill by aiming a bullet and getting the heart so... Like the head an instant kill location but I guess since Thanos is an alien or not a ‘human’ his body works differently and is maybe designed differently so, it doesn’t work in his class...? I guess the problem with sone stuff in movies/ tv shows is there are often loop holes out of situations the writer(s) have to ignore to get the story to go ‘their’ way without getting thing too or overly complicated....
My big issue with Thor and the whole "you should have aimed for the head" bit was that the frickin' Infinity Gauntlet, the thing that controls the entire universe couldn't stop his hammer? His new hammer was just a slightly beefed up version of the old one which Hela shattered immediately and that guy from The Dark World swatted around like a fly

Thanos killed Loki, Heimdall, and half of his people, so Thor will want to kill Thanos, not just stop him by cutting off his arm. And if Thor took his revenge on Thanos, he would probably want Thanos to suffer as much as possible for killing the only two people left that he cared for plus half of his people, hence aiming for the chest, as it is a longer and more painful death than the head.
The portal could not have cut thanos' hand because he is so strong and his skin in impenetrable.. In comics and also the directors told it about the movie thanos' powers
Doctor strange cannot use the time stone against Thanos because he has space stone and space and time are quite complicated with eachother and with reality stone thanos can mislead Doctor Standard and take the time stone from him.
Doctor Strange even cannot use his transportation rings to cut down thanos hand. Because thanos is strong to do with that situation. And can use the space stone to break the power of Doctor Strange.
