my first cinematography teacher, like the first day, taught us that logic isn't a thing in movies. he meant it about lighting, but in most other things too.
@beesmitty3435 totally but what I'm talking about is more specifically "motivation" in a physical reality way. as in, you should never waste minutes trying to make anything on your movie set act the way "it would in reality". it's a hair to split but i agree with you and also I'm addressing a slightly different concern. cheers :)
You're confusing logic and realism. A story doesn't have to be realistic. But it does need to follow the rules it sets out for itself. In other words, it has to have its own internal logic. You're just excusing bad writing by conflating these two concepts.
I'm am LOVING Kristen's Marvel journey. She is an absolute gem and a wonderful addition to the channel. If that person who expressed concern about revisiting something was Jaby, forget him. You're good! 😊 j/k, Jaby!
When Kristen was watching the Spiderman films, i remember thinking that she should do a full MCU reaction. And when you released her first Ironman reaction, i was like yuppppppp they're doing it.... I'm not watching them right now, but saving them in a playlist. I'll watch all at once, after she's reached to endgame ❤
The first time I watched this Pitch Meeting, I didn't notice this. But now I noticed that Scriptwriter Guy is wearing a Greendale Community College shirt.
3:59 - Marvel actually did think the "one dude" scenario out, though it's a bit subtle. Rocket was the only Guardian to survive. All the other were part of group species, but as Rocket once pointed out, he's the only one of his kind.
I actually kinda like the revisit one, because the only thing that Ryan George removed from it is the ad sponsors and replaced it with his thoughts of process and Q & A poertion as well. I hope you could get to interview him again on your channel. Or maybe make him visit your studio and make him do a reaction video with you guys as well. :)
To me the dumbest thing about Thanos' plan was that with the Xfinity stones he had an infinite number of options at his fingertips, he could have replenished resources on every planet and made them unlimited, instead of killing half the population of all living things.
I also get the sense that Thanos was using the sunk cost fallacy. He's already committed mass genocide across multiple planets, so if he was just going to create unlimited resources in the end maybe he felt that it would've all been for nothing?
I felt absolutely nothing when half of the heroes got dusted because I knew it was too big of a change to stick, it would have to undone somehow, and it was.
It’s always hilarious when they pretend immortal superhero characters are totally, seriously dead. “No more Spider-Man movies ever! We totally mean it! This isn’t about making a profit from our valuable intellectual property, it’s about integrity and storytelling.”
In Infinity War Bruce Banner and Doctor Strange are explaining Thanos and the Infinity Stones to Tony Stark and Tony mentions that Ben And Jerry have named an ice cream flavor after him.... Stark Raving Hazelnuts ... Doctor Strange says its "too chalky" and Wong replies that he likes the Hunk A Hulk A Burning Love flavor better
What happened is, for once, the screenwriters followed the original storyline from the comic books pretty faithfully. Now, "Endgame", that's another story... . Tony mentions that he swore off dairy products until Ben & Jerry's named a flavor after him.
Superhero fatigue is definitely real. There are still diamonds in the rough i.e. GOTG3 and Spiderverse, but keeping up with all the mediocre to bad bilgewater is just too much.
I feel that if there are diamonds in the rough that means there is no superhero fatigue, the movies are just bad now - if hero fatigue was real, there nobody would want to watch the good ones, which people kind of crave, like the ones you mentioned
Why did none of the avengers get dusted you know the original 6. While almost all of the guardians of the galaxy got dusted. But is ok because before the movie came out they already said it was going to be another black panther.spiderman and guardians of the galaxy.movie so you knew the people that did get dusted aren't really dead.
Starfox aka EROS is number two most promiscuous character in all of marvel universe, number one is she hulk ofc, 3rd place ios hard between ironman and daredevil
6:41 People love struggle and overcoming said struggle, character progression and victory through hardwork. That's why nobody likes modern hollywood girl bosses who can do everything right from the start, face no struggle other than being misunderstood and later being proved they were right all along and do not work hard to earn their rewards.
I defo have Marvel fatigue, the last straw for me was them letting go of Jonathan Majors. I was only really excited to see Kang, now there's nothing I'm really looking forward to.
Seriously, if Thanos instantly got rid of half the universe does that mean half the beings on every planet or literally, and randomly, half the universe? That could mean there were planets where no one got "snapped" and other planets where no one survived. Ugh.
These "none survived" or "everyone survived" planets would be so improbable in the "everyone has a 50/50 chance to get snapped" -scenario that they wouldn't even happen. Even if every planet had only 1000 people the surviving population would be between 400 and 600 with 99.99999998% probability. And even trying to get under 100 survivors has probability around 10^-162.
@@engineer-of-souls true and your math solves the problem of odd-numbered species, if there was a planet with one guy, he would either disappear or not, nothing of what Ryan suggested
The thing about Thanos was kind of a weak shot by Ryan here...Because it was quite literally game over right, he won...They had to go back in time and basically recreate a scenario where he didn't have the Reality Stone...
Every episode of this is about how all movies have utterly inexcusable plot holes followed by the hosts saying that they hate having those pointed out which makes reacting to these rather... well why _DO_ you continue to praise what you don't like this way?
So true.. I've noticed that they always give extremely animated, positive reactions when movies/shows come out and change their opinions completely when watching pitch meetings and honest trailers. Hypocrites!!
@@Priti1998N I prefer to hold back on the name-calling because the urge TO do that comes from the same place *their reactions* come from. (Which makes you doing that rather ironic). It's a commentary on human nature. Paradigms are Groups Of Related Thoughts that take root in one's subconscious (SC). They watch movies *and these popular comedy reviews* with the same paradigm to start with, but it only works properly with one. No Matter _WHAT_ the paradigm is, interfering with it causes a sensation. The Sc is where our most primitive reactions like Fight or Flight take place. Yep, tired of superheroes. Haven't watched Gen V., Invincible S2, She Hulk, etc. I haven't watched any Star Wars in a long time either. I'm totally tired of it.
I don't think it's a plothole at all. More than this "balance" Thanos claims he wanted to achieve, he wanted more than anything to exert his cruel will on a universe who hadn't known the pain he felt in losing his home planet. It was just as much about as punishing an ungrateful universe as it was creating that form of balance. Everything about his cold and removed maliciousness seems to imply that despite his grandiose words. It's like people say, when people show you who they are, believe them the first time. He could have done those things, made resources bountiful and helped the universe out but it doesn't at all gel with who he is or what we know about him
my first cinematography teacher, like the first day, taught us that logic isn't a thing in movies. he meant it about lighting, but in most other things too.
Lol
Suspension of disbelief..
Not that there should be no logic but the story is supposed create it's own level logic and stick to that.

Finally, more Pitch Meetings reactions
THIS IS SO FUN definitly been waiting for more pitch meetings
The problem Tony addressed with Nano technology was back in Civil War. If you remember, Antman was small enough to fit through minuscule openings.

I almost forgot about the Ben & Jerry's joke of Hulk-a-Hulk-a Burning Fudge being a flavor.
And Stark Raving Hazelnut being chalky.

Didn't we see more of his kind in Guardian 3? (though they weren't mutated like him, they were the same species)
Didn't get to see the film at a press screening but I still liked it.

To me the dumbest thing about Thanos' plan was that with the Xfinity stones he had an infinite number of options at his fingertips, he could have replenished resources on every planet and made them unlimited, instead of killing half the population of all living things.
That's because they changed his motivation from the comics, which was literally killing half of all living beings to show his love to Lady Death.
I also get the sense that Thanos was using the sunk cost fallacy. He's already committed mass genocide across multiple planets, so if he was just going to create unlimited resources in the end maybe he felt that it would've all been for nothing?
It;s not superhero fatigue, it's that they just choose mainline heroes and try to remake them. Go Rated R, and you too can make a good hero.
Chosen to shit on them you mean.
@@ColinFox I mean yea, but that is Hollywood. Not just Marvel.
All that character says it's own name... 😅 3:41

The way he spoke, and what he'd done up until the snap, the "half" is half of each population. So half of the people on each world.

Sadly franchises like Marvel are falling into the quantity over quality sinkhole.
