I am a follower of the Christian Faith , still active in church. I said that to say this, Enya's music torches my soul and stirs my spirit more than any gospel song or church hymn ever has. When I need to be uplifted or long to feel something outside of myself, I listen to the artistic music of this beautiful and elegant lady. I truly love everything about Enya.
This woman is a genius. How many songs have she made? Countless. And ALL of them are fantastic, goes straight into the heart. That´s rare. She is one of modern days greatest composers.

It's so interesting because this is the first album under the watchful eye of social media. I have never seen so many negative people "attack" Enya and her music. "It's too repetitive", "it's not your best work". As if they're the authority on her music. She's timeless, an inspiration, and her music has gotten me through the worst times I've ever had. I'm an artist. I did not persue my art for 30 years because I thought it was frivolous. Then I remembered how Enya is what got me through some of the darkest years of my life. Even before this wonderful song existed! One day, in mid life, I thought "if Enya's songs helped me so much, who's to say my art wouldn't help at least one person"? So I changed my career. It took a decade to do that, but I don't regret it.
That is inspirational, be true to your calling and give it all you are made of!! I have also put aside creative passions,Im a musician and writer mainly, but I have realized how important it is to me to do it and do it well and am recommitting. It was something i felt i had to push back until other things were settled. I couldnt commit to it you could say. Frustrated so deeply. For me, listening to Enya has helped lift me through some dark and troubled times and has continued to bring joy. I've lost the man I loved most in my life a month ago.. my dad, my friend, my Angel.. he loved Enya songs.. used to play for me until I fell asleep when I was a little girl. JPorttineli I know the feeling. I lost my dad over 3 years ago to cancer on Father’s Day. Every time that holiday comes around it’s like a never ending cycle of pain. But still we press onward and don’t stop till the journey ends and you begin anew.
I've adored Enya and her music since I was a very small child. My older siblings would play her music for me to keep me calm as a toddler. To this day, all these many years later, her music still has the same effect. I, of course have some favorites, but who doesn't? I will forever listen to her music to stay sane

I was sitting on my living room couple days ago and suddenly I heard a very beautiful melody from tv and had to turn my head to see what was it about. And then I heard a man saying "enya, dark sky island, new album" and I was in love right a way. Enya, a name I can't forget. I came to youtube to search her and found the beautiful melody again. It was this song. I have no idea who she is, where is she from or what is the thing with her but this song is absolutely amazing! This brings cold winter, night sky full of stars and northern lights to my mind. Just wow! Happy greetings from Finland.
