Sema is a sh*t-show circus and not a valid indicator of quality. I have been to Sema multiple times and so much of the stuff is a joke. Most of Sema is just hastily / half thrown together cars serving as an advertisement for the companies that threw a little product / cash the builder's way to get booth candy. Same thing as how people think Barrett Jackson is some sort of standard for collector car auctions - when in reality it is a meth-infested trailer park of the collector car world. Yes, there are nice cars at both - but the majority isn't anything I would want to be involved with. If I built/owned this car I would take it to shows like JCCS or similar. It would be way more appreciated there than stuff in some booth at Sema that everyone will forget about 4 minutes later.
"Bob's your Uncle" refers to British political nepotism whereby AJ Balfour was made Chief Secretary of Ireland by his Uncle Bob - Robert, Earl of Salisbury in the late 1800s. Loving the videos, excellent work!
Thanks for the update on Ping, poor guy. Wonderful process on the sanding work; I really like that you show how much is involved and how fine it has to be if it's turn out good. That's one of the charms of your videos - people see just how much work is really involved in making something great.
You know, one of the side effects of watching you for some years now is that anytime i watch anyone working on their cars and i see them not clean behind a part they just removed I instantly think "what are you doing 🤣🤣🤣". I even catch myself doing it, appreicate all the work that goes into these projects
10:08 - Chuck a pencil in your drill, with the eraser pointing out. Tear off pieces of your sandpaper. Capture the paper between the eraser and the shiny with the rough side facing the paint. Activate drill. Replace sandpaper stock as needed. Rinse/Repeat.
Good to hear that Ping isn't in pain and is active. Fingers crossed on the lab results. On a different note, great to see a Wild Charlie! Love your CAD (cardboard assisted design) at the end of the video!
Ping just needs love. My sister had a puppy with the same disease. It's heartbreaking. Still wouldn't miss a minute of ur show. Much love to you, Sarah.
I admire your thought process of thinking a few moves ahead to avoid poor unintended consequences. I know it takes patience when one wants to “git ‘er done”… patience I struggle with. 😱 Appreciate you keeping us updated on Ping. 🙏 And thank you as always for an educational and highly entertaining video, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Honestly Sarah, after watching months of your videos, I am so impressed with your abilities and your attention to minuet details. Your desire to go next level for no other reason other than you'll know. This is how I do my projects as well. You are fun, funny and intelligent. Love your videos and your choice of projects. I'm sorry to here about you sweet baby cat. CHEERS to you to continue to grow your channel and future success!
Thanks for the update on Ping. Glad he's comfortable, eating and playing. As for the Celica, coming along nicely, your meticulous and detailed work is appreciated. Can't wait to see it painted, and the engine back in for the final time.
I love your ability to improvise when something goes awry or doesn't go exactly as it should. I had 11 employees at one time and that ability rarely showed up. Hoping for the best for your kitty!
After watching a peanut on a different channel build a car to take to SEMA and used bulk rubber fuel line and hose clamps you're such a breath of fresh air out here. Love seeing someone do it right even if it takes longer and costs more.
Hey Sarah❤❤❤ I don’t eat penguin because it taste fishy and it takes forever to thought it onceiits frozen I always appreciate all your hard work and attention to detail❤❤❤❤ I’ll see you next time. Stay safe and have glory weekend.❤ya Brian H😊😊
So every other day counts as "non-daily" right?!? I'm super happy to hear that Ping is not in pain and that you are coping. I salute your wherewithal to continue to produce quality content while navigating that storm. It shows pure grit and reflects on your true character as an amazing human 👍😎 What I meant to say was nice job all the way around!
Precision cardboard graphics, comedy, perfectly shaved engine bay -- what's not to love. Also, I'm told the body chisel spatula tool is known as a "five-way," which may or may not have happened in college. All the loves and hopes and thoughts for your little guy. 🌸
Sarah, we all say this one is not going to be a daily driver until the FUN of having and driving a custom machine from heart felt parts is experienced. Even the lack of power steering or aircon won't stop us from a drive.
Hi Sarah your self fabricated mounting bracket could be fixed onto sticky rubber sound deadening then trimmed to its shape, no dirt infiltration and definitely no rattles. I honestly admire your attention to detail in everything you do. I think a penguin casserole would be good 😂😂 seriously I have got my fingers crossed for the results to be good from the vet 🙏🙏 good luck with spraying the engine bay, this car will be amazing when it's finished. Love and support from the uk. John xx
AS SOMEONE WHO WORKED IN AUTOBODY FOR 32YRS STARTING FROM NO EXPERIENCE IT WAS A LEARNING HANDS ON JOURNEY I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF PAINT PREP WORK NEVER SAW SUCH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THOROUGH DEDICATION RIGHT DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL OF EVERY THING YOU DO I THINK YOU ARE A PROFFESSIONAL YOU NEED TO BE VERY PROUD OF YOURSELF WE ALL SURE ARE NOBODY DOES IT BETTER THAN SARAH BARBIE EAT YOUR HEART OUT :)
Foam rubber to keep the crudd out on that bracket. The yellow tabs can work with thick foam. And it's not as if you will be accessing the fuse every day.
I learned when I was on a cruise to Antartica that people who have eaten penguin (for survival purposes) reported it as extremely oily and tough. It sounded very unpleasant.
Your concern is legitimate and you are doing the right thing to check out the lead issue. In general, reds, yellows, oranges and other colors mixed from these three often contained lead prior to the late 1970's.
Nice Alice In Chains tee shirt! I’m from Seattle and they’re still my favorite band! And cool celica build, nothing cooler than a V8 swap in a small car or mini truck! I’ve done two, small block Chevy in a Chevy Luv pickup and in a 280Z. Fun to build and drive! Surprised more than a few people as I blew their doors off! It’s great watching this celica come together!
thanks for the update on Ping. Car is turning out amazing. I like how you have a plan and a vision for the Celica. I would just stair at mine till I came up with the next step.. keep the content up. always a pleasure to watch.
Tech tip for drilling holes to control depth is put a rubber hose over the drill bit cut at a set depth so it wont damage anything behind the metal of paint surfaces.
For the fuse bracket to keep dirt and crud from getting between the pieces of metal, make a foam gasket to put between them. It'll squish between the two and keep the nasties from getting in there. A rubber gasket might work too if you want something a bit stiffer than foam, but foam would probably form fit to the metal better if it's thick enough. Best wishes for Ping.
Best wishes for Ping. May his remaining time with you be as comfortable and happy as possible.
This car needs to be at SEMA you deserve recognition for such badass meticulous work

Just come on and say what you really mean. No need to sugar coat it.
I agree her work is Impalcable
@@theangrymarmot8336You aren’t wrong about the majority of stuff at SEMA.
Continued prayers for Ping, your doing a first-class job Sarah!!!
I sincerely hope the outcome with Ping is the best possible. losing a pet is like losing a family member.
You are correct. When I lost my dog, it hurt every bit as much when I lost either of my parents.
I miss the mother of my two kittehs more then I miss my own, the feline had a better sense of humor.
"Bob's your Uncle" refers to British political nepotism whereby AJ Balfour was made Chief Secretary of Ireland by his Uncle Bob - Robert, Earl of Salisbury in the late 1800s. Loving the videos, excellent work!
I get a kick out of the "Robert's your father's brother" alternative.
my uncle passed away 2 days ago, his name was not Bob though (his niece passed 1 day later)
Thank you, I never knew that.
Holy shit I never knew that . The same Balfor that made Isreal
Well, then, how is it that Fanny is your aunt?

That’s a solid idea 👍
This actually does work.
My heart goes out to little Ping.
I absolutely love black Denso t-shirt day. Thank you
Would it be better if she moved her arms like Scotty?😊
What's the full name of that company again? 😂
