"A narrower tire shtretched onto this wheel would solve the situation, but I'm not about that life."
Thank you. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
2:41
Seconded. Radial Tyre sidewalls are meant to balloon out, not be stretched inward. It's important to how they work to keep the contact patch flat on the tarmac, as well as for decent ride compliance.
Yup. This car needs the right tires. You can't compromise on that. It will look factory when it's done.
Amen to that!
I remember when these old japanese cars were considered "disposable and called rice burners". I appreciate the care you put into restoring this survivor.
Look at the cars the people who called them rice burners drove. They weren't the best decision makers.
Your videos combine camerawork and narration that both have a perfect blend of technical expertise and friendliness.
That's damn rare anywhere, even more on the internet.
Stay Sarah!
Meant as a genuine compliment, I love that Sarah reminds me of Wednesday on the spectrum. It's adorable and her professionalism shines through it.
16:22 "What'd I do with my other bolt?"
I'm so glad everyone else seems to share these moments because I feel really dumb at moments like this.
Wait until you are looking for it for 5 minutes then realise it's in your other hand 😂
I know this is said all the time.......but it is worth saying again.
Your attention to detail is absolutely brilliant.
I can't believe Jay Leno hasn't recruited her yet!
@@inmyopinion6836 I keep trying to figure how many of the comments are techs at the Jay Leno Garage.....
@@bjshifflett5408 Likely none.
You're turning into a proper fabricobbler! :D
Never seen an auto restorer person so dedicated to perfection …… amazing !
Ever!

Slush Puppy 🎉 I remember those from K Mart snack stand as a kid.
Slush puppy and K Mart, Pepperidge Farm remembers (ok, Im old enough to remember them both too lol)
K-Mart Slush Puppy's are the blue light specials of my childhood
❤Sarah not only the loveliest Cartuber, but actually WRENCHES, fabricates & swaps. She's a badass, & i think she's a metalhead... Which is sooooo dope! ♥️ Keep it up Sarah!
I'd say she's more probably a shteelhead!
Brilliant build and thank you so much for all the details.
Her attention to detail is next level and I love it.
‘That’s what the robot said” classic Sarah!
I'm always impressed, shocked, and scared at the lengths you go to make this better than factory custom build happen. I'm constantly floored at all the work you put into it.
I’ve fallen in love with your build. Can’t wait to see you drive it when finished!
You do beautiful work. That car is a work of art.
Great to see the BBQ shop didn't move too far. The inner fender clearance turned out great.
Sarah, your OCD capably aided by an amazing sense of humour, restoration, mechanical abilities makes you my number 1 RUclips channel.
People, let's get this channel to a million subscribers. Like, comment and share.
@stephcooper5998; It seems 'nice' that You desire to promote the idea about the what You appreciate about Sarah along with her posted videos on this channel.
However, promoting the channel on the comments is like "speaking to the choir", since those that comment more so those that may read them, are certainly among those watching, appreciating them. Thus, useless, ineffective, especially with the last three "like, comment and share".
Then You clearly have the common misconception about OCD; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - a label by phycologists, about an apparent, claimed disorder, dysfunctional mental condition.
Certainly Sarah does not have any disorder nor dysfunctional mental condition. Sarah clearly has good, well and high focus, concentration, with good project planning, high level expectations, goals, implementation, execution, within high level to near perfection, high level workmanship, results. Sarah may be considered extreme, excessive within these by most humans along within dedication, persistence, consistence, determination, which many human lack, especially more so within recent years worldwide [Socialist/ISM, Commune/ist/ISM, Fascist/ISM, Union/ist/ISM, Corporate/ist/ISM, Industrial/ist/ISM, Capital/ist/ISM, Marxist/ISM, et al have these negative affects, results]. Sarah also dedicates her entire life into all of the projects, work, including reviews, videos, editing, recording, etc. thus is her "Life" by choice.
Perhaps You can use some of the good aspects, attributes, characteristics Sarah uses, shows, presents within Your life, pursuits, goals, etc. to Your personal use, benefit, with positive growth too ?
All The Best, Sincerely :-)
I needed this Sarah, just found out an hour ago my dad has Pancreatic Cancer so this is taking my mind off of it so thank you. Please send out a prayer 🙏.
What a journey this little Celica has been so far. Good Shtuff!
So loving every one of these little conundrum filled episodes. I never want them to end. I really feel like you are right here in the shop. The clearance issue was resolved as I would have done it. More than proper. The journey is the achievement with me. It is more immersive than the experiences of concluding the project, if it is for yourself.
@@mostcom custom builds are an ongoing wtf. Good job on ONE at a time⭐
I love how she says 'Sell-E-ca' every time . . . it's fun !
Your videos are always so insightful and intelligent. Thank you for your contribution to the education and development of the community!📹⚫️💵
Last time I saw a Slush Puppy was in 1984 romping around in my yard in Appleton Wisconsin when my 9 week old Black Lab got out in a snow storm. He had fun as did I trying to get him back in the house!
I wish more people had such nerdy humor!
Girlie, I wish my late father could have seen some of your vids. You have the exact same eye for detail - and the same OCD tendencies - that he did. He was an architect by trade, and a self-disciplined master craftsman as avocation. Whether it was our annual garden, or the model railroads my brother and I built alongside him, or even my earliest efforts as a budding greasemonkey, Dad was always on top of things with his sharp eyes, practical knowledge, and sage advice. Dad was a fellow who spent an entire winter building an HO-scale wooden railroad trestle {40 scale feet high, and 600 feet long} BOARD BY BOARD!!! We're talking over 6,000 individually cut balsa-wood "timbers," "crossmembers," and "stringers," complete with all the nuts, bolts, cables, and other hardware that the prototype had. Oh yeah - Dad also drilled EACH bolt or cable hole himself, until the cost of replacement bits for the Dremel started to eat into the weekly grocery budget a bit more than Mom was cool with.
I'm fondly reminded of good old Dad with each new video you put out, Sarah. You are well and truly Gifted, my Dear Lady. And don't you EVER forget it, dig?😍😍
Loved Slush Puppies as a kid!
Same, do you have a bunch of autoimmune gut health issues too now? 😂
@@SarahnTuned yeah but not sure if it was from them are in the Marines that caused it😂
As a kid, blue raspberry Slush Puppies and a K-Mart sub sandwich was the only reason I ever wanted to go shopping with my parents.
Back when Smurfs were all the rage. Yup.👍
Sometimes if you warm up your plastics with a heat gun, they soften up as to not breaking as easily
Uh-huh uh-huh is that what the boys are doing now? Mansplaining heat to women who live in the desert?
3 hours.. 30k views.... This lady is awesome 😎. Love the Sarahisms.
... The hotness.... And I have no idea about cars .. but she is very intelligent in this field and makes me happy she had a YT channel.🎉
I remember slush puppies
Your level of commitment really is unparalelled + the humor and the editing. Nice hair job too ;-)
Great job on the rear inner firewall massage.....not hacked🤙
Jesus, your attention to detail is amazing!! Keep it up, great video as per usual!!
YAAAAAAAAY! I'm in south east Asia so this is going to have to wait because I don't eat lunch for another 4 or 5 hours, but 23 comments? Gotta just nip in here and tell you that I loooooooooove your show, especially the focused builds like this Celica which I've followed from the beginning. Love it, love it, love it. Cheers
As much as I appreciate your attention to detail not many else will unfortunately something I've come to realize later in life but passion is important and why I watch you amaze me every week
Sarah on every thumbnail : 👍
With a paint job that came out that good, you should be allowed to be proud of yourself because it was excellent work!
I love the amount of detail you are putting into this car. Your diligence is also to be appreciated. Can’t wait to see the finished product. And a little tip, if you want to clean rust and corrosion or even just age off of chrome, just ball up a little aluminum foil and a little bit of water and it will look new again.
Highlight of my Week is seeing More Sarah and More Celica!
I appreciate the detail that you do. On the vehicles that you do You're a very talent person. Thank you for your service in the Air Force. God bless you..
Another Sarah How To video that is second to none. Must eat. Don't put it off. You can only do so much before body shut down.
I'm clueless about cars and yet watching Sarah at work is so cathartic for reasons I can't explain to myself!🤔
Along with the humour and sincere observations, your attention to keeping things as originally intended (keeping things honest) is great to watch. The Celica will appreciate the quality time to do it right.
Love this project ! Sarah you are doing such an awesome build
Thanks mate ❤️ the way you Roll
😎🍺👍🇦🇺
Absolutely brilliant work, Miss Sarah! I love cars, but not really about working on them, but so cool to watch amazing car people like your self work. My favorite car RUclipsrs are you and Doug Demuro. Both of you guys are funny as hell!
Thanks!
Slush-puppie: my tiny dog sliding arround in his wintershoes at the end of March, when the snow starts to melt! No? Well, I'm gonna think that anyway... 😅 Great progess made - those front details came out great in black! I love your attention to detail, that you want things to look as they should and the lenghts you go to make sure they do. Recently I gave one of die-cast 1/18 scale model cars a major face-lift since I never was satisfied with how it looked from the factory. I spent days searching for good refference images on the real cars, to get it right - as it should look. Truned it from ugly beige-brown to elegant black, added a lot of small details - I am very pleased with the result! Thanks for the inspiration, for what you do and Stay Awesome!
Just info, next time you get stuck putting bushings in like that, get a long bolt and big fender washers (I'll bet you see where this is going) put the bushing in, put the bolt through the bushing, fender washer and nut on other side and use an impact to tighten the bolt/squish the bushing in. Have fun
This is the YT build of the decade, period!
Sarah, when you put the car on the ground and load the suspension with the weight of the car, you’re going to have to clearance your fender well up higher because your tire will be higher in the well. IMO 😊
I thought that at first, but go back and watch again... She sets the car on the ground before final check. Yes, the engine might make a little difference, but that suspension isn't exactly soft. It'll probably be fine.
@@GOICU812 already did
@@SarahnTuned We all knew you would've. 🙂
@@SarahnTunedyou’re weird
Rust converter on the rusty patches only of the 2nd H/L base. The kind that leaves a protective -film. Then just clean as you did. Get a padded cap to wear working under/ in engine bay. Yes regular- good food !!
If I ever restore a car, I'm going to go back and reference all your videos as the proper way to do it! Great job on all your projects! Thanks, Sarah.
The story that *N E V E R* ends.
Never. Wake me when its over.
And here it is!
Cannot express how difficult it is to spray black oil epoxy direct-to-metal without sagging it. 🌸
BBQ Pilot Dave! That guy never disappoints.
I so enjoy these videos where you have to do some fabrication and also have to create new parts to accommodate your mods. Clearly, you do “shapes” well! Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Recondition the headlight buckets, take photos of the stamps, and have a sign store cut some stencils out of vinyl so you can re paint them back on a sponge brush works best
I've started the restoration of a 73 Firebird so I've been consuming a lot of car restoration videos. Your videos are detailed and you impart a great deal of knowledge plus your humor makes it a pleasure to watch.
This is what used to be referred to as Craftsmanship! A relatively lost art unfortunately. Sarah is a master!
Nice! I needed my Sarah fix! ❤🎉
Every time I see one of these plasma tables it reminds me of that video with the mantis dodging the sparks and then attacking the nozzle to the tune of "Rules of Nature". Absolutely metal

Sarah, you’re so right. Most folks would have just gotten a big hammer. This is why I like your work so much. It was a bit of an effort, but the way you dealt with that clearance issue looks so much better.
Im a '75 bmw guy with a strong appreciation for the Celicas and datsun 510s. these vids are like soul food.
So excited for the first drive of this project. Amazing craftsmanship.
Sarah is the coolest 😎
The engine bay after all the anal work you did sparkles like a diamond. As I watched this video I realized that my focus on your amazing car mechanic work kept me from seeing how you have worked so hard to create these friendly engaging videos. You make us feel welcome and friends. You have a very sensitive side Sarah. Never lose it.
No lie, this is probably the most entertaining thing I’ve watched.
Love this car! Thx for content.
She is Devo, D, E, V, O.
doing excellent vehicle operations. 😊
Got my Celica tshirt today! You used nice blanks, it's an awesome tshirt!
As the late Bob Ross, fellow Air Force vet, would say about the paint, you had a Happy Accident.
I have no doubdt that he would find your work to be a masterpiece.
You have done some amazing shit, but not breaking the nail after hitting it with a hammer has to be top 10!
They’re durable 👍🏻
Ooh, slush puppie! Back when i was a kid, the owner of this convenience store used to give me one (with 3 squirts of flavor juice, no less) if i took the trash bins out to the big container out back every week!
Ah, good times indeed 😄
New Sarah video!!! 🥹
The only podcaster who's ads I let play all the way through, because she benefits from that.
Your smooth brained fan from New Hamshire.
Sarah's instrument of choice is not blunt, it's a scalpel. And that's why we love her. =)
"already accounted for" - is the default answer to anyone having doubts about Sarah's measuring skills. 📐
Sarah......I hate to be the one to tell you........but you missed a spot.
Oooooo fighting words!!!
Oh noooo, anyway. 🤷♂️
*shpot
Oh....You're just being cruel! 😊
@@UNCLEBGA It was next to the thing with the bolts. You know, the pins where the doohickey is nestled. It was over from that and down from the wurbler. Can't miss it. 😂
Your attention to detail is inspiring.
Woohoo! Members only video!! First comment btw 🙂
🏁
The quality of older Japanese cars is truly amazing You can even see it in something as basic as my old Celica bolts.
Hope you're having a great week and kitty is doing well. How are you doing?
You should give those rusty parts a soak in evapo rust. The stuff is crazy good and doesn't harm plastics. Sometimes parts might need a little brush action for stubborn spots and a second soak but the results are incredible and fast.
Love watching you start your Bronco with your feet like there's a clutch but there's not!
@@hobbes1069 um.. so my Bronco is a manual transmission.
@@SarahnTuned whoops 😱! How embarrassing! It was a quick shot and I missed it, but at least I got a personal reply! 😜
Sarah, those poly bushings are fitted with grease. Is criminal how easy it is to fit them in comparison of taking the old rubber bushings out.
I had one of these cars back in the day and wanted to put a v8 in it never could afford it so now i have a 65 corvair that i sit on a s10 frame with a 350/350 i dont do as good as you do you are the best i ever seen i think i love you.
Not only do I know what a slush puppy is, my stepdad worked for the company. We had a slush puppy machine in the garage that came out for parties. Nothing better than vodka slush with any flavor you wanted!! Oh yeah, the Celica is looking great as well!!
The BBQ grill guys always coming in clutch, absolute gentlemen!
Aloha Miss Sarah! Thanks for brightening my evening with this video
🤙🏻mahalo
Excellent job on the arches, that kinda work takes patience and understanding the construction of the car... plus it's structurally, and ethically, better for the car to not beat the crap out of the arch in that spot.
Also, yes, I do indeed know what a Slush Puppy is. That blue and red logo was a huge part of my childhood. The magazine store we used to go to in town, and I latterly went into every week for PC games magazines had one of the machines on the counter for years.
It's nice to be able to hear her again; what she says and how she says it were the main appeals that kept me watching.
So, she has some experience with cutting and welding unibody panels...! That's a lot more than can be said about me. I could sure use assistance from somebody like her in replacing Frankenstein's left-front fender.
She's getting close!! Great job on the paint on those brackets. Looks awesome and that can't have been easy. Guaranteed I would have had runs.
Love your playlists… I’m a big fan of yours. Thank you for being irrevocably yourself and having great taste in: cars, music, pop culture references and a good attitude. Your sign that says “a little weird is ok” might be my favorite sign in your shop.
This car is gonna be 🔥
Threaded rod with matching nuts and washers is a good way to install bushings!
If everyone had your attention to detail, we would build more, fix more, and throw less away. Great work as always! (on and off camera)
You are one of the the coolest people ever. You absolutely rock Miss Greenwood!
One trick to popping out plastic inserts that you have to compress to pop out is using a vice grip. You can set the closure distance of the jaw so you don’t over compress the insert and not crack it.
Not only do you have skills but you have a beautiful smile
Some really good looking welds in the motor mount crossmember.
