On the wings of the Eagle's Glen Frey he's smiling ear to ear in Heaven. I grew up in Los Angeles and a huge life long Eagles fan. This is simply the best version of Seven Bridges Road I've ever heard. I'm just sad I hadn't heard it until now. Bravo!
Beautiful. I count myself privileged to have been a friend of Terrye Newkirk (may she be in glory), the wife of Steve Young, the composer of this beautiful song.
EXCELLENT,,BRAVO !!!!!!!! What a Tribute to the Eagles !! Hope they appreciate this as I have,,Continued Success from the Old Viet Nam Vet in Buffalo !!!!! BRAVO Thank You Meghan and the Men ,,Be Safe,Well,Smiling and Happy Always Lee
Simply wow….. that was amazing acoustics and harmony, I always new and heard the Eagles version and loved it then…. But this knocked it out of the park!
I was watching a sports channel in the UK, and accidently flicked down instead of up and got to a country music channel. This song was on, and I kept it on...must have listened to it a thousand times since...Awesome!!
Thought I’d add an update. My little boy was born over 10 weeks premature. My wife got appendicitis at week 14 and lost the amniotic fluid and basically told very slim chance of survival. But he’s here now, a little fighter and as strong as ever, and this song is the only song that we put on and he just stares and listens. His name is Finan and he loves you guys! Thank you ❤
Credit where credit is due this is a Steve Young song not an Eagles cover. That said this is an amazing cover of this song. Rita Coolidge and Dolly Parton also do this fantastic song justice.
This is one of the better covers I’ve heard for this tune. I wish the breakaway jam was longer though. The interior of that Church is beautiful. Nice acoustics.
Outstanding harmonies. I really love the bluesy, bluegrass sound with the dobro, electric guitar, upright bass. In that big beautiful church building, the acoustics were ‘heavenly’.
Meghan sang an absolutely perfect lead on this one. The lead sets it all up for the lower parts. The high parts are so much easier to hear and sing than the others. The most difficult part is actually the baritone and the bass. I can sing all 4 parts, so I am qualified to say that the bass is by far the most difficult part to find vocallly.
Such a beautiful song, and wonderfully performed by all of you, love that harmony, y'all did a great job!!! I will definitely listen to some more of your music, both Meghan Patrick, and you fellas too... Thanks for posting!!!
Awesome job! Have watch 3 times this morning already and each time catch something different each time. Definetly excited to see ya continue this story line!
There are stars in the southern sky Southward as you go There is moonlight and moss in the trees Down the seven bridges road Now I have loved you like a baby Like some lonesome child And I have loved you in a tame way And I have loved you wild Sometimes there's a part of me Has to turn from here and go Running like a child from these warm stars Down the seven bridges road There are stars in the southern sky And if ever you decide you should go There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey Down the seven bridges road
Wow! I have seen and heard many covers of this song but very few of them do it justice like this. Your musical take on the song, the clarity of your harmonies, and the artistry of this video are all excellent. Thank you!
Still say this is so well organized and that it is much nicer to hear, than the guys who actually wrote it. Meghan nails her parts and adds her great harmonic chime to the song ..... well done to the Washboard Union guys also..... (Y) (Y)
Songwriter Steve Young wrote this beauty in 1969. Iain Mathews arranged this version and The Eagles recorded it in 1980 ;and it became a big hit. Both versions are sweet....all day long. ❤️
I didn’t see any comment about Steve Young who originally wrote and performed this beautiful song and is deceased now, RIP, There are many versions of this song but this one is the best in my opinion and Magan is just awsome hitting the high notes.
Thanks for staying true to yourself and your music! Great to keep up with your growth as artist! Hope you're steam fitter job is still in the mix. Long time since I saw you at the Chase residence playing a kazoo! Keep on strumming the shit out of that guitar!
This a great version of one of my favourite songs. To watch it performed by Dunner and his equally talented friends is a special treat. 😊
On the wings of the Eagle's Glen Frey he's smiling ear to ear in Heaven. I grew up in Los Angeles and a huge life long Eagles fan. This is simply the best version of Seven Bridges Road I've ever heard. I'm just sad I hadn't heard it until now. Bravo!
Better late than never! Thank you so much for the kind words! 💛
This is a great version of one of Steve Young's many masterpieces.
@@keirbateman267 thanks for the correction! I didn't know the Eagles were covering him.
Best version of this song is that of its composer, the immortal genius Steve Young.
You should hear Steve Young's version. He wrote it. Glen Frey had nothing to do with it.
Some day. Some day. When I have no obligations here in Finland. I know where I’m going and I know I like it there.
Canada?
Did you ever live your dream buddy ? I pray you did my friend & that it was everything you dreamed it would be. Take care & God Bless. 🙏❤️🕊️🌺🌻🌼😁🤠😎

Once again I keep watching this. Come to America cause we got some culture!
You got amazing culture! Ciao from Italy!
Its what's holding you together. Who can feel anything but love when listening to this.
Beautiful. I count myself privileged to have been a friend of Terrye Newkirk (may she be in glory), the wife of Steve Young, the composer of this beautiful song.
A mighty fine stompin', slidin, pickin and a singing. Anyone who is not swaying along with them has no soul. Fantastic version.
Chew woot all aboard the goose bumps express.
Beautiful rendition. I can only imagine how amazing the acoustics were in that space.
Well done, y'all.
I really enjoy when Steve Young song is performed. I wish people would stop calling it an Eagles song although they did cover it.
Awesome y’all
EXCELLENT,,BRAVO !!!!!!!! What a Tribute to the Eagles !! Hope they appreciate this as I have,,Continued Success from the Old Viet Nam Vet in Buffalo !!!!! BRAVO Thank You Meghan and the Men ,,Be Safe,Well,Smiling and Happy Always Lee

I was watching a sports channel in the UK, and accidently flicked down instead of up and got to a country music channel. This song was on, and I kept it on...must have listened to it a thousand times since...Awesome!!

Thought I’d add an update.

This is one of the better covers I’ve heard for this tune. I wish the breakaway jam was longer though. The interior of that Church is beautiful. Nice acoustics.

There are stars in the southern sky
Southward as you go
There is moonlight and moss in the trees
Down the seven bridges road
Now I have loved you like a baby
Like some lonesome child
And I have loved you in a tame way
And I have loved you wild
Sometimes there's a part of me
Has to turn from here and go
Running like a child from these warm stars
Down the seven bridges road
There are stars in the southern sky
And if ever you decide you should go
There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey
Down the seven bridges road
💛
Steve Young wrote this song. Apparently it is about Cloverdale road in Montgomery AL.
This is now my favorite rendition of this song. Thank you for that!!
💛
Beautiful. No more said 👏
Thanks!
Wow! I have seen and heard many covers of this song but very few of them do it justice like this. Your musical take on the song, the clarity of your harmonies, and the artistry of this video are all excellent. Thank you!

I also love Joan Baez's cover. Have you heard her version?
Amazing. Truly amazing
Thanks, Chris! 💛
Great version of this fantastic song. Love that harmony!
perhaps it should be mentioned somewhere that Steve Young wrote this song... There I said it!
Hell yeah love that they added some guitar solos. That's how I think the song should be played.
💛
Still say this is so well organized and that it is much nicer to hear, than the guys who actually wrote it. Meghan nails her parts and adds her great harmonic chime to the song ..... well done to the Washboard Union guys also..... (Y) (Y)
