Omar, glad your back doing reactions, especially Deftones ones. "Ceremony" is a great track and i think it will grow on you. I'll also say for the new album "Ohms" that you are probably going to have similar reactions to a lot of these tracks as the album really needs to be listened to as a whole. On their own they seem like pieces but as a whole it really clicks and takes on a new life. The Voltron of albums if you will haha. Still a lot of older classic Deftones tracks i want to see you give a listen to at some point: Root, Birthmark, Mascara, Dai The Flu, Feiticeira, RX Queen, Korea, Needles and Pins, Deathblow, Battle-Axe, Bloody Cape, Beware, Cherry Waves, Kimdracula, Diamond Eyes, Royal, Beauty School, Swerve City, Romantic Dreams, Entombed, Gauze, Hearts/Wires, Phantom Bride, among others give these bands a try sometime too. Some are Deftones influences, and some are contemporaries. all worth giving a listen: Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock, Quiet, Rocket, Soma, 1979, Set The Ray To Jerry Faith No More - The Real Thing, Everything's Ruined, Digging The Grave, Evidence, Stripsearch PJ Harvey - Rid Of Me, Long Snake Moan, A Perfect Day Elise, Good Fortune The Cure - A Forest, Faith, One Hundred Years, A Night Like This, How Beautiful You Are, Fascination Street Failure - Something, Undone, Small Crimes, Solaris, Another Space Song, Stuck On You Hum - Little Dipper, The Pod, Stars, Comin' Home, Green To Me, Waves Far - All Go Down, Love American Style, In The Aisle Yelling, Joining The Circus, Bury White, Mother Mary Glassjaw - Pretty Lush, When One Eight Becomes Two Zeros, Piano, Mu Empire, Cosmopolitian Bloodloss, Ape Dos Mil, Shira Dillinger Escape Plan - Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants, Black Bubblegum, Milk Lizard, One Of Us Is The Killer Cave In - Big Riff, Requiem, Come Into Your Own, Inspire, Anchor, The World Is In Your Way, Retina Sees Rewind
Deftones -Urantia dude this song has that heavy Deftones with a romantic soothing chill and another thing ..listen to ceremony one more time and it will change your mind about it ..but put it as loud as you can (close yours eyes if. You must ) ...you'll see what I mean
I also feel ,ceremony is talking about addiction .if you think about it ..at the end all you feel is an empty shell version of yourself and it keeps repeating misery forever and ever ..pretty dark man... All the high that ever was ..it was really all an illusion ..dreams left scattered ,life adrift .
Okay I'm glad you're back on Deftones. You got me. Now do yourself a favor and go back and watch this video again but pay attention because everything you've already reacted to from the Deftones is subtly and visually implemented into this video. Everything. Have fun!
I'm not a fan of their last two albums, but everything before that is awesome! I recommend songs like 7 Words (the uncensored version), MX, Feiticeira, Needles and Pins, Beware, DIamond Eyes, Graphic Nature...
Like alot of Deftones songs, this one grows on you the more you hear it. Alot of layers to it.

Really? Ohms is so quintessential deftones, it’s one of their best imo
