I sweated harder in this event than any other time in my 7 years of splatoon gameplay just to BARELY scrape by with 132 eggs ONCE for only a SILVER trophy, feels like I went off to fight in the trenches and being given a $15 coupon for Applebee's in return

This was the one big run I REALLY tried for and I ended up getting 183 but this video is really relatable when it comes to the deaths.
Idk why but I died SO MUCH this big run compared to others but also CONGRATS ON YOUR SCORE
I kinda loved Umami as a SR stage, it felt pretty fun.
The Grizz Dualies were so much fun, I really wish that there were explosive Dualies in normal gameplay
I managed to get my first Bronze trophy this big run, so I feel pretty good 👍

I got 157 with a few hours before BR ended but honestly i stopped caring about top 5% ever since they made double scale drops in BR so i stopped focusing on high scoring and went for more king salmonid encounters instead
Literally got more gold scales in this one rotation than I did all year
I farmed for double scales so much that I went from EVP 160 to over achiever
Man, I just couldn't get a run past 117.
My highest was 117 as well for the longest time then I got carried to silver by some GOATED teammates
there’s a reason I always try and get a low enough egg count to get into top 50%, because otherwise my name wouldn’t make any sense 💀

High score for me was 204 this big run from my previous 172, it was a fun map for sure, and GDuelies were a godtier lesser clearer. 104 to 142 is a nice improvement from your previous BR, keep it up😅

I played 142 rounds and got gold with a score of 164. Loved this Big Run, the grizzco dualies and stage in general were the best yet.

Big run for me was getting 15 scales for a pair of shoes I never used again. Oh and also my B button may be broken. (I have the fresh fish doll in a beach outfit too ig 😔)

Yeah nintendo did an even worse job advertising this one. They gave one Twitter announcement and then it was announced in game a day before it happened and was overshadowed by a splatfest announcement

And got gold helicopter with 161 eggs, cause why not.(sorry to that smal chance someone else getting it)
Still missing 5 golden scales man.

I feel like the Results System is not appropriate for the mode. Salmon Run should be a cooperative mode but Big Run incentivices competitive play to get a better reward
Not really, you still gotta cooperate with your teammates to get a higher score. Deliberately throwing is just pointless.
I agree but on the basis that everyone can get the highest reward in splatfests but only 5% of players can get the best reward in salmon run
I got 98 and needed literally 4 more just to get a decently looking trophy
I don’t have any friends to play with in discord so I had to go with randos
There's some salmonrun dedicated discord that help with these events if you're interested
I got 154 on my first round after that a 158 literally the next round and 3 games later a 168 with 1 friend and 2 randoms

The worst of all is: You can be the best, know every use and strentgh of every weapon but still only get bronze brcause you have no friends and randos do just random bs
(Anyone knows where to find other players who also are tactical and base their playstyle depending on the weapon type)
There's some salmon run servers on discord that can help also there's tide rng and special waves rng that also can help or hurt your score

They keep raising the rates for high scores and it disappoints me. I got a record of 134 and thought I would get gold for sure

Big run is 75% luck. I went to Evp 870 on inkblot and only got 110 for most of the runs except a lucky 160. You'll have a much easier time getting gold if you have several hours to invest. Skill is also important, especially when you get to the higher hazard levels. You'll get there if you practice.

@@ShurikanBlade Oh, absolutely. Weapon luck, tide luck, event luck, boss luck, all of it plays into whether you get top 5%. Solo queue is actually pretty good in 600+. It's easier there then 200 where teammate skill is inconsistent. Best case scenario you have a coordinated and skilled team, but those are hard to make and come by.
The 5% score only goes up because fewer people are playing the mode. If everyone who owns the game would play(and survive) at least one round of Big Run, the score will go down. That goes for Eggstra Work, too.
Got 172 this run that was my highest so far yet also i dont Nintendo will make the record go over 200 otherwise it be impossible

Mid run is hella overrated. It's just salmon run on a multiplayer map with almost no reward for playing. Idc what anyone else has to say but I hope this doesn't return in the next game
It could be way better I agree but I guess imo it's better than nothing new
