Hi Heather, This was better than terrific. Your teaching makes the piece come alive. Diacritical markings are often just words--but, if we can hear someone play it (and especially slowly), we can copy it, and it "clicks"! Wow! I wish I had you as a teacher in the 1980s. It would have made my road to majoring at the piano easier. Keep teaching. And THANK YOU! David Lee

David this comment means more than you know! It’s hard to keep going on RUclips. The time it takes to produce one video is crazy. But comments like these keep us going. Thank you so much!

    Hello Heather.
Thank you Sooo much for this video. I have been looking forward to it.
And to get a special personal mention in your video was very touching - the sublime cherry on the cake 😊.
I shall be studying and trying to put all your suggestions in to practice. I'll let you know how I get on. 😜
    Thanks again. Giovanni

Fantastic video. It will be really helpful if you could teach us about how to play Chopin waltz Opus 64 no. 2. Will be grateful. My name is Vinay from India.

I wish you play the whole piece in the end 😢
Because I think that it would be so beautiful.

Thank you for the feedback! I will possibly do that in the future. And I may still post a separate, full performance of this piece.

Unfortunately, this one is still above my capabilities (I'm in the 4th year). I've learned that I don't do myself (nor the piece) a favour, when I play something too early.
But still, the video is very helpful to me because it gives a lot of valuable tips! 👍

Thank you for your feedback! Keep practicing consistently and you’ll work up to this level. If you have a list of pieces that you REALLY love and want to learn that should keep you motivated to keep practicing.🤗 I will post some piano lesson videos on easier pieces. Any requests?

@@BrillantePianoLessons I recently played Mozart - Sehnsucht nach dem Frühlinge in a small performance and I'm now looking for the next classical piece to study. I am thinking about whether Schumann - Kinderszenen part 1 could be a suitable piece to learn next?

@@christiangehteuchnichtsan1170 It’s hard for me to say what level you’re at but I really like the book “The pianists guide to standard teaching and performance literature” by Jane Magrath. It lists famous classical pieces from all time periods by level of difficulty.
