Thank you for being the first and only person out of all the videos I have watched in 3 months to highlight the interior switch back lights being upgraded in the 2023. I had considered a 2022 available but these feature differences are just too significant. Thank you!

I know. I went thru a bunch of the videos myself in pre for doing this one. Most of the videos we're full reviews.. and although the titles said "changes for 2023", it was just clickbait. I wnated to do a video with "just' the changes. So many of the reviews really didn't even discuss the actual changes. Most just talked about the new media console and digital cluster. But there we're other significant changes as well that I highlighted.

Learned something new today then !! Yes, for 2023 all models of the prime get the 6.6 charger. Lots of good stuff for 2023 for sure.

One additional thought.. the headlights on the 2021 are curve adaptive and in 2022 Toyota had to stop making the curve adaptive headlights for all of the Rav4 vehicles and has not brought them back into production. They are now using the auto high beam dimming in the headlights but no adaptive curve technology.

Yep, i know. I think the chip shortage had them remove that feature. I have it in my car, and can't say I really notice it though. And i'm old and can't see very well.

Wonderful video and very informative. I have only 1 question. Would the Prime work just using petrol and never be charged?
Would it have the same performance numbers ?
Once again thanks for your videos.

It will still get great gas mileage just in hybrid mode.. about 38MPG. We did drive accross the country only on gas, and it still accelerated very well on the freeway and from a stop light. I believe toyota will keep the battery at a certain level.. to maintain performance even if you don't charge. But.. i'm not positive.

Hi, I read all of your RAV4 prime vedioes. Get a quesion here, if battery is full, it has good acceleration of 5.6sec for 0-60 mile/hour speed. How about the case if you have a long trip drive, say you already drived 200 miles and battery level is lower, then does it still has good acceleration like 5.6 second for 0-60 mile/hour? Thanks.

    • @GoldenK9Campers
      @GoldenK9Campers  Год назад +1

Absolutely. Toyota is pretty smart about managing the battery and ensuring you still can get full acceleration even when you no longer have EV range. I drove across the country.. Only had hybrid left after 25 miles from dealer. Always had the extra power whenever I needed it. It's awesome..

@@girl600show7 EV's are crazy fast for sure.. But we tow a lot, and take lots of long trips (camping). Not necessarily the best scenarios for an EV. Maybe someday soon hopefullly.

As a previous owner with my wife of 7 Toyotas over the years you have now lost me forever. When I buy a car that’s it none of this subscription shit. Sorry Toyota not going to happen with me. Guess my next car will be a used one.

Oh no. Yeah.. the subscription stuff sucks. You don't need to do the subscriptions though.. just for certain features...

Sorry, but some of your information is incorrect. Passenger seat only height adjustable if you get a PP (Premium Package). With PP you get 4 way power seat while without PP you just get 2 way. Neither model has auto steering. It will not take you out of dangerous situation. It is not a Tesla. Also, most features are available in 2022 with the PP. But PP for 2022 cost over $5000 but for 2023 less than $3000 and that is because a lot of those features became standard in 2023 thus $3000 price increase. Also, all of the switches and buttons are lighter in 2023. This also include premium JBL stereo in all XSEs.
As for PP you get memory seats, different seats that are fake leather all over and don't have a cloth insert. 360 degree cameras and digital mirror. Parking sensors, HUD, panoramic roof, 1500w inverter with 110v plug in the back. And the liftback that is foot activated. Did I miss something? Probably. But Toyota threw everything in to XSE with PP but the kitchen sink.
Negatives: Even though all of the interior lights are LED now they are still very dim. But they can't be replaced because these LEDs are surface mounted on the circuit boards.

Have you been able to confirm seeing one with 8-way power-adjustable passenger seats? This is one of the must haves for my wife and I since I'm pretty tall and the toyota website shows only 4-way power-adjustable passeneger seats. The hybrid limited is the only rav4 with 8-way power-adjustable passenger seats, unless it's a typo which I really hope it is and you're right.

    • @GoldenK9Campers

The RAV4 (limited) only had 4 way passenger seat, but as I showed in the video, it did have height adjustability. We don't get RAV4 Primes in Las Vegas where I live.
